Very clean, tidy, and well equipped. We really enjoyed the closeness to the sand and the walkway to the ocean was very nice to have. Gene is very responsive and provides clear instructions for check in and check out. The stemless wine glasses his wife makes for souvenirs are a very nice surprise! We will definitely be coming back to Turtle Tides for a longer stay.

Only thing I could say that needs help is the deck is old and needs the nails pounded back down. one board was split (when we got there) and not comfortable to walk on bare foot. but sitting out there in the chairs watching the ocean. wonderful. room was well done and spacious. great location. We had a fantastic day at this beautiful, remodeled, oceanfront condo! There’s really nothing not to like about Turtle Cove. Everything is fresh and clean, the kitchen has everything you need to do some cooking, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I’d have to say sitting out on the deck overlooking the ocean, enjoying coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night we’re highlights of our day. Also, very easy access on the recently renovated walkway to the beach.The owner was great about communication, and was there to help us when we did have a couple of minor issues. The only thing to be aware of is there are two flights of steps up to the condo and then another flight of steps once you’re in the condo. A little challenging, but definitely worth it, especially because you have an amazing view from the condo!Thank you again Gene!

Check in was super easy. The view was just as described. The minute we walked in we felt our tension slip away. We thoroughly enjoyed this turtle-themed condo, even though our week coincided with wild Nor'easter winds and cloudy skies. The stormy views from the balcony were beautiful in their own way, and we did finally see two colorful sunrises. The location of this condo is very convenient--an easy drive to all parts of the Outer Banks, and grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants are all nearby. The condo's furnishings met all of our needs. Communication with the host before and during our stay was always prompt and informative.

Startup Kit Includes: One set of sheets and one blanket per stay (queen bed); one towel and one washcloth per guest noted on the reservation; and an initial supply of toilet paper (one roll), hand soap, dishwasher pods, dishwashing soap, one garbage bag for kitchen and bathroom trashcans, two Keurig coffee pods, and paper towels (one roll) will be provided and are included in your rental fee. Linens for the sleeper sofa will be provided upon request prior to the day of your arrival. The building offers a coin laundry (seasonal) with washer and dryer. There is also a coin laundromat just a short drive from Turtle Tides.
