Cordial House is a newly renovated and professionally designed log cabin, nestled on a private treed lot with unparalleled views of New London Bay and the sand dunes of Cavendish Beach. Located minutes from restaurants, golf courses, tourist attractions, beaches and shops, Cordial House features two mainfloor bedrooms, a lower level bunk room that sleeps six, two full bathrooms, an eat in kitchen, large deck, comfortable great room and stunning water views. It’s the perfect place to enjoy all that beautiful PEI has to offer.

Beauty and Simplicity

We loved our stay at Cordial house. The house has a lot of charm. I appreciate that they had ample amounts of towels, soap and toilet paper for our week stay. This was a legit cabin so creaky floors and old time looking decorations. The view alone would give us reason to book here again. Our kids loved being in the yard and watching the sunset. Checking in and out was a simple process.

Close to cavendish, so it wasn’t a very long drive with the kids. The cottage is very well decorated!

The address was an issue for the maps. It brought up a different place, same address. We went to the wrong place first following maps directions. The map app never was able to pull up the correct location. There was a bit of a musty smell in the downstairs, garbage was overflowing outside, and there were bugs indoors. Besides these things, the location and the vibe of the home was cozy and comfortable. The outdoor area was amazing with beautiful views and a deck you wanted to hang out on. If a few things could be improved upon, I would not hesitate to stay again. The location was fabulous-close to Cavendish and wonderful coffee shops and eateries. The owner was available to communicate and helped us through most of the issues.

A beautiful quite and peaceful cottage stay so close to everything it makes for a most fabulous weekend. The decor and special touches in this cottage make it an absolute delight. Couldn’t ask for anything more! Host was fantastic. Always available for whatever you might need!

We were the first guests to stay at Cordial House, and we were blown away by its beauty! The host was extremely accommodating and responsive. The entire cabin is so spacious and bright (even the lower level). Inspiring decor and finishes - it's obvious the host is an accomplished designer! Cozy living spaces and bedrooms. Perfect for a girls' winter getaway. Thanks for the memories Cordial House, we can't wait to visit again!

A Beautiful Bay View

Staying at Cordial House for our first time visiting the island was the perfect location with a bay view! Christine has made the cottage a gem & has thought of everything to make her guests feel at home. Also our first ‘red clay’ road experience which we rather enjoyed, as well as the potato & other crops in the area being planted in that red soil. Cavendish beaches are so beautiful & just a short distance away. Summertime in PEI - thank you

We left our hearts at Cordial House!

Cordial House is all that the imagery and words on Instagram portray it as... and, MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE. Christine has poured her heart and soul into his ocean-side sanctuary. No detail was left unattended. We felt so deeply honoured to have experienced Cordial House and island life. It is hard to express how deeply grateful we are to Christine for creating a place to experience such profound, moving moments as a family. Thank you for being the PERFECT host, Christine. Great views and location!

The views of this cottage did not disappoint! Every bit as beautiful as the pictures show. The location is also perfect for exploring because it sits nicely in the middle of the island and you are a short drive from so many fun attractions. Christine was kind enough to share some great recommendations for restaurants (all of which were sooo good). She is a kind and responsive host. My only note is that the cabin itself could use some attention. It is clearly well-loved but lacked cleanliness in some areas. We loved the view from the couch but the couch itself was quite dirty. All the closets were full of storage making it hard to unpack and store luggage in a small space. Overall though, we did enjoy our stay and I would recommend this place to others-- just a few notes for added improvement :)

Money NOT Well Spent

Both bedrooms smell of old linens & mattresses and overall not pleasant Basement had a strong musty smell We ran fans & kept windows open Front entrance needs a light & railing. Impossible to see where to step in the dark. Lower Rear deck has a hole in it and also needs a proper railing. Kitchen & living room were okay. There is No Microwave, & the large couch is badly stained It was not worth the money.

Great stay with family

Our family had a great time at the Cordial House. The location of the property is top notch for our purposes. It's minutes away from the Cavendish beach and Anne of Green Gables heritage site. A few other beautiful beaches on the north coast are all within reasonable driving distance. There is a beach clamming place within walking distance where you can find a lot of softshell clams. Shopping and food options are nearby. The house is well decorated and full of characters. It's a relatively older property so it has its pros and cons. It's a beautiful oceanside property with stunning views to the ocean directly from the living room. It's at the end of a corner so it's very quite with almost no traffic. It would be nicer if the garbage from the previous guests could be cleaned instead of being kept on the side of the house and on the driveway during our whole stay. I don't know the city's pickup schedule. At a couple nights I can hear sound of critters going thru the garbage. I did not check since it's very dark outside. Also like others mentioned, the basement has a noticeable musty smell but it did not bother my family's stay so I don't know if the dehumidifier would be helpful because we did not turn it on. Overall it's a great and enjoyable stay because of all the pros.

Although the scenic views from this property were amazing & the decor concept was adorable, the previous reviews about the poor cleanliness & lacking condition of the home were true. We were supposed to stay four nights, but left after the second. As a family of five, on the last leg of our adventure & hoping for this to be our resting & relaxing part of a multi-week journey, this is how the property did not work for us:*There was no room for our luggage, toiletries, groceries. (Closets tiny & mostly full of things already.) *There was not enough seating for a family of 5 to spend some time resting and relaxing outside of beds. *The decor overrides any functionality and practicality for travelers. This home was set up for a photo shoot, not real life. *Very few & hard to reach plugs for charging devices. *Overall cleanliness was lacking. Hair was present in the sink and tub upon check in. Dust, dust bunnies, spider webs & dead bugs were all over. Furniture & textiles extremely stained. ***Mold was in the basement. The basement smelled very damp & moldy & had a humidifier running, but when we saw the actual mold on walls as well as items in the closets, we left. *Sheets were very wrinkled & some had tears in them. We were concerned if they were clean from the last stay. The extra sheets & blankets in the closet were iffy as to their cleanliness as well. Towels were damp & dingy. No towel hooks in the upstairs bath at all.

Cute, but not very liveable

We were here for a 7-day stay. Our group consisted of my brother and I, together with our families (four parents and four kids 18-24) PROS: -Beautiful views -Nice location -Nicely decorated -Host responded quickly when told there were lightbulbs out CONS: -stuff over every surface; nowhere for us to have our own things... Closets are full, cupboards are full, tables full of things. We tripped over 'decor' and our own belongings all week -It was early July, so it was hot out. There is no A/C and couldn't open all the windows because of a lack of screens for some windows (tons of bugs outside) and not able to open others -Downstairs was VERY musty - we emptied the dehumidifier non-stop -Layout: upstairs bedroom was so odd. Has two singles in there, very cramped, couldn't even close the door. No space for luggage. The open basement sleeping area has four single beds, more suitable for small children (not sure they would sleep down there by themselves?) -I specifically asked beforehand if these were swimmable beaches and I was told that they were. They are, in fact, not swimmable beaches. Not even walkable beaches. -Kitchen appliances are TERRIBLE! Refrigerator and dishwasher beeping non-stop for various reasons randomly all the time, even in the middle of the night. We were told to 'unplug and plug back in' the fridge. We had to do this several times. -Cookware is limited, no big pots for boiling seafood?? Kitchen is super cramped with no counter or cupboard storage space
