NEW- Amazing Lighthouse Beach Waterfront Homes sleeps 14
Surround yourself with beachfront luxury in two of the most amazing homes in Gig Harbor. These homes were once owned by a very affluent family and used as their summer retreat. Featured in Sunset Magazine for their design and location in 1962 and updated by us in 2019 these homes are beyond amazing. Located on the lighthouse point, these two homes have everything you can imagine to vacation with your friends and family. Low bank waterfront on three sides means you are literally surrounded by water and sand beaches. Relax by the fire pit or sit and sip wine from the beach or one of the 3 decks while watching, seals, otters and the occasional whale play in the water. Watch the sun come up while gazing out over the water at Mt Rainer from your back deck and watch it set over the yachts in the harbor from your front deck. Wander over to the Gig Harbor Lighthouse, kayak to Tides Tavern or be picked up on your private dock by the Gondola for a romantic ride through the harbor. Fall asleep at night to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach and awake to water views while still tucked snuggly in your comfortable bed. Private deep water moorage means you can even bring your boat along.
7 Bedrooms, 2 kitchens, sauna, large living areas, fireplace, kayaks, 2 laundry rooms, deep water moorage, fire pit, horseshoes, swing, hammock, beach toys, family games, private beaches, and water water every where. Come play on the beach at Lighthouse Point and you will never want to leave. Please note, you must sign rental agreement be 25 years of age or older and provide picture ID upon request.

The host was amazing. She was in contact before and during our trip. They greeted us and showed us around the property. The property was great for the holidays and a large group of family gathering. The kitchen was well stocked in terms of dishes.
We really enjoyed our stay! The views are amazing. The furnishings are comfortable, and we found the house to be well provisioned with supplies for preparing food, activities, etc. The host has clear instructions and was helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your home!

You are very welcome. Loved seeing you all together. You are welcome back anytime
So amazing to stay by the light house with an amazing view of gig harbor. The house had everything we needed including paddle boards and kayaks and beach towels. We enjoyed watching the seals swimming
We had a wonderful time at this property for our family gathering. The location is unbeatable! The houses were well appointed and we had everything we needed for our group. Can't say enough great this about our trip. We will return!
We had 3 families with young kids here for a weekend trip—this home was so superbly located and an idyllic spot for the kids. They had hours of fun on the beach, watching the geese and sea otters, canoeing to the restaurant across the harbor, swinging in the hammock, and exploring the nearby lighthouse. Annie was also extremely responsive to all my questions during the weekend!
My friends and I had a wonderful weekend staying here in Gig Harbor! There were 10 of us and plenty of space for everyone with lots of great communal areas to hang out, enjoy meals, and play games. You can't beat the location being right on the beach! Annie was a great host!

It was my pleasure having you as our guests. Hope to see you again.
The location was incredible and my friend group loved our stay. Ann was super helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had. The place was clean and well equipped for all kinds of activities. I would rent again for sure.
We had a wonderful stay at Lighthouse beach with our family of 12 adults and one child. The location was absolutely stunning. The two houses provided everything you could want for private and gathering spaces. We were able to gather together in chairs on the beach overlooking Puget Sound, sitting on the deck overlooking Gig harbor and in the large open air living area of one of the houses. Our young adults thoroughly enjoyed the provision of water craft. The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. We found Gig Harbor to be very charming with plenty of restaurants and shops to browse. We can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating Annie was during our stay.Thank you, Annie for sharing your wonderful paradise with us.Paula and Larry

Absolutely amazing compound on the beach at gig harbor. We loved every minute of it -- it was so great we booked a second trip for 30 days later while we were at the VRBO! Highly recommend.

Happy you enjoyed your stay. We will see you again next year.
My work team chose this Vrbo location for a work trip, and we were all immediately in awe when we arrived! We had plans to go out to dinner and ended up opting to stay in so we could enjoy the property. Annie was a wonderful host, she made sure our check-in was as smooth as possible. Beautiful views and amazing wildlife at this Gig Harbor home!
Great place long trip uphill with stairs to unload
Families favorite other than the distance from car to house.

I am glad your family voted the lighthouse their favorite property. Loved having you stay. I understand one of your family members using a walker makes it a little difficult to get around. If you decide to come back again, please let me know and we would be more than happy to help you unload your vehicle. Thanks for staying
Everyone loved this location for our family vacation. With 13 of us ranging in age from 10-80, there was always something to do. We enjoyed sitting on the decks, making smokes by the campfire, kayaking and paddle boarding, and using the well stocked kitchen. We also went on excursions to Seattle and Mt. Rainier from this location. Annie was very welcoming and helpful.

Amye, I enjoyed hosting you. Thank you for staying.
We had a great time in Gig Harbor. The property was amazing! There were plenty of things to do nearby and it was fun to have access to the kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. It was nice to have 2 properties so that everyone could spread out. Both places had everything you could possible need. All of the wildlife was an added plus. We would definately book again.

We would love to have you back. I am very happy that you enjoyed life on the water. Kayaking to dinner is always a plus.
Hope to see you soon.
We traveled to the West Coast from Virginia to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Our children and grandchildren joined us in Gig Harbor at the House at the Light. We all had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, the houses were comfortable and lovely and the property offered fun for everyone. Annie was a great host and she responded to anything we needed.
Our trip including 3 adults 7 younger adults, ages 25 - 35 and was a combo 70th Bday celebration and family reunion.
The setting could not be more beautiful! From inside the house and outside is a panoramic view of the harbor, hillsides, Mount Rainier, with an active harbor of wildlife and boating! Amazing sunsets and sunrises make for a spectacular experience!
All that while being in close proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping etc.

Thank you for staying. You are always welcome back.
Our stay could not have been better Annie and her husband were easily reachable for check in and any other needs. The place was exactly as shown on the website but even more spectacular in person. We played with kayaks and SUPs with the friendly seals. The kids spent lots of time playing on the beach by the lighthouse and felt like the entire area was ours.great to have all sized life vests. Our kids are already asking to return! Thank you :)

Very happy to have you. We are happy your family enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again.
Washington wedding location for our extended family
Great check in process as navigating the entry in the dark would have been tough. Both houses were well stocked with kitchen and bath needs. The property was quiet and the natural sights were everywhere. Harbor seals, eagles, starfish….
Also our hosts were very attentive. We had a problem and they immediately addressed it in hours so that our wedding party weekend wouldn’t be impacted.
Had a nice cookout on our last day and a few locals from our new family joined us by boat. A very special stay for us and a location that we’ll likely get back too.
We had a fabulous stay! The houses were exactly as pictured...the weather was perfect! Seals played in the water all day and there was reportedly a whale sighting as well. Mt. Ranier stands majestically out one side of the house, with a sunrise glow in the early morning, only to be followed by an alpenglough at sunset. Could hardly relax because I couldn't stop taking pictures! There is nowhere I would rather stay in Gig Harbor!
Annie was a very responsive host when we had questions.
5 stars are definitely deserved!

About the host
Hosted by Ann Jolie
My husband and I live in Gig Harbor. We saw this property when it went up for sale and could not pass it up.
Why they chose this property
These two homes are at the end of the sand spit, next to the Light House in Gig Harbor. The sandy point separates the Harbor and Commencement Bay which gives you water and sandy beaches on three sides. It is amazing to be just steps from the water in both the backyard and frontward. There is so much sea life that you get caught up watching the seals play or the otters, eagles and geese make their way around. Commencement Bay is also a popular whale passage so do not be surprised if you catch sight of them breaching or hunting right in front one you. You can kayak or paddle board to Tides Tavern or many other waterfront restaurants and shopping from your front yard. This property was a family vacation compound for a very prestigious family. One of the homes was featured in a 1962 issue of Sunset magazine. We decided to invest our money in legacy properties that would stay in the family for years to come. Having a deep water boat dock and being in this prime location was a deal we could not let pass us by.
What makes this property unique
Watch Mt Rainer appear as the sun rises over the water in the front yard and watch it set over the water in the backyard. You can't beat that.
