Plus, be sure to visit Star Union Spirits Distillery in the historic Westclox Building in Peru.
Enjoy the fully fenced in backyard with its propane grill, deck and fire pit! Bring the kids- bring your dog!

The home sleeps 7 guests. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and the upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a brand new, full size sleeper sofa in the living room and double futon in the upstairs common room- which is best suited for children.
THINGS TO DO The home is located just blocks from downtown LaSalle and within walking distance of bars, restaurants and shopping and antiques .
The home is also right off the main route (Rt. 6) so driving to all the area attractions, including Starved Rock State Park (10 minutes) is easy.

The host was extremely accomodating. Communicating with her was a breeze; check in was seamless. The house was very clean and within close proximity to State Parks. I would book with this host again.
Great house for a hiking adventure at Starved Rock and Mathiessen. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and we ate on the lovely deck out back. The fenced yard was a wonderful bonus that allowed our dog to live his best life outside with us. Would definitely stay here again.
The property is well maintained, and the host is incredibly easy to contact. Super close to both state parks. Highlighly recommend visiting Tangled Roots Brewingand Star Union Distilling.
Charming and quirky home perfect for a getaway with friends! Loved the fire pit and cooking in the spacious kitchen as well as dining outside on the large deck. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and the host was even kind enough to leave a little gift bag for them - so sweet! Having bedrooms on separate levels was a big plus for privacy. Would stay again.
We stayed here for a few days to hike several trails in the area. The location was perfect and the place was terrific! The check in and out process was seamless. We highly recommend this place.
This home has everything - perfect location for downtown, short drive to hiking, fenced in backyard and nice patio. Owner responded immediately to everything and the house was westockked
Loved that this is close to all the cute river towns and hiking. The place was very clean and comfortable! It was fun hanging in the back fenced in yard and grilling some steaks with a fire going in the fire pit! Would stay again!

I'm so glad you had a nice time, Kristy- thanks for the review!
A friend and I stayed at this quaint little house for the weekend. The house is a quick easy drive to Starved Rock and Mathieson State Park. The neighborhood was quiet and close to some excellent restaurants!
House is cute and quirky with everything we needed for our too short trip to hike at Starved Rock. Outdoor space was our favorite and something we look for in a rental. Host supplied lots of great info on the area which was helpful. Would definitely rent again!!
Cozy home with a great backyard and deck. Very clean. Elaine thought of everything to make our stay more comfortable and fun for us and our dog. She responded quickly to our questions before and during our stay. Great recommendations for coffee and local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Good quiet location for a good value. The host provided many good suggestions and ensured the home was well aligned for our stay. The town of La Salle is pretty small - while the places we went were very good, there weren't many places available to go - just be prepared that while the location is convenient to walk downtown, there really isn't much of a downtown to walk to. You may also wish to consider a different stay if you are opposed to firm mattresses. The mattresses at this stay were the most firm I have ever slept on. If a small town and a extra firm mattress don't matter to you, then a great place to consider.
The house is really cute and in a great location for walking to town for a bite! Elaine makes it so easy for you to bring your dogs…big yard, dog bowls to use, treats and even a toy to take home. We hiked at Starved Rock and ate in town at Uptown Grill (definitely recommended!) We all had a blast. We will be back.
We couldn’t be happier with our stay while our floors were getting installed/finished. It was perfect for our dogs and baby. Thanks again for everything!
The house was very clean, decorated very nicely, well-stocked, great location to shop/eat in LaSalle and central to Starved Rock & Matthiesson State Parks as well as other hiking areas. Backyard was fully fenced, a fire pit was on the patio, quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this property.

Thanks for the great review, Diann. I hope you can come back and enjoy the area again soon!
Thank you for the great stay at this house. It was great to be able to bring our pups and they could just play and roam around in the back yard while we enjoyed the weather and family time together.. I also loved how well stocked the house was for the guests and puppies with the extra touch amenities. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again. I would also recommend staying here.
We had a great time in this house. Very clean and well stocked with the essentials needed for a short weekend getaway. The property manager, Elaine, gave us plenty of area information to get acquainted with what’s around in the neighborhood. It was our first time using VRBO and everything ran smoothly. We will definitely be back soon. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a short distance away from Starved Rock.
