Owners were great at communicating and would respond to questions quickly. Unit is dated but we really just needed a place to sleep. Easy to access to slopes from Mountain Lodge. Would definitely stay here again.

Functional and moderately comfortable
The unit is near the slopes and functionally good. The building is loud and would be considered an economy stay. The unit worked well for sleeping and skiing. Wifi and TVs were almost unusable (5mb and non-smart TVs). We planned on movie nights, but were unable to download or stream. Location worked well for skiing. Beds were comfortable.
This property is right on the slopes. It was so easy to get to kids lessons just down a little Hill. And for the expert skier, a short slope away from black diamonds. It was easy to get everywhere and some comfortable when coming off the slopes. Beds we're comfortable and showers were hot. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hi Margaret! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are happy to hear that you had enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure hosting you and we can’t wait to host you again soon!
The bedrooms are so hot it makes it hard to sleep. The bedrooms are near the inside halls of the hotel and they keep it so hot for some reason. Also the lights from the hall make it seem like daytime all night. I noticed other rooms with blackout curtains or something taped to the windows to keep out the light. Location is great. The property managers are very responsive. The beds are comfortable. Wifi was good. It's just had to get good rest with the light and temperature in the bedrooms.
Overall exp good property owner great answered any questions right away
All all good only comment I would like to say is I, and not only I several guess were disappointed no lobby br how wants to go out in the rain wind to go to br while you are waiting for your partner

Thanks Wanda! I think by "br" you mean bathrooms? I agree, it would be nice if there were restrooms in the lobby, but in Mountain Lodge, the "public" bathrooms are located in the lower level. If you were not aware of that, I am so sorry! But thanks for taking the time to leave a review!
This is an ideal location with the ski in/ski out ability. Covid made things a bit difficult. There were odds and ends that weren't the best, but we are guessing these wouldn't be an issue if Covid weren't around.
The balconies weren't open yet, so that was a little negative, but they will be installed as the further revamp the place.
Well worth the money.

Mountain Lodge is our favorite place to stay at Snowshoe bcause of the convenience to the Ballhooter life and the village, and it reasonable price. It is old and dated, but luxury accommodations is not the purpose of our visit to Snowshoe. This unit was very reasonably priced and was entirely adequate. Only negatives was the mattresses were pretty soft and the TV is the living room only had streaming services. We tried to watch a basketball game one night and the buffering and poor picture made it impossible. we finally had to gather around the bedroom TV, which had cable..

Hey Ken! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. On behalf of Mountaintop condos, we appreciate this very much! We look forward to hosting you again soon! Have a great day and stay safe!
This is our second time to the Mountaintop Condos in 3 weeks and it seems to be a building issue, but the temperature is unbearably hot even with heat completely off in the entire unit. We ended up opening the window in the living room with snow outside to try to allow us to sleep. The manager responded immediately to us having a nonfunctional coffee machine and light bulb out. This unit has just about the minimum amount to accommodate a family as far as plates, utensils, etc. I would suggest more than one small baking sheet, perhaps a cheese grater, etc. In the time of COVID we made all our meals and we had to improvise. Really great location to mountain.

Great First Time Experience
We read up on the reviews prior to renting this unit so we had a pretty realistic expectation prior to our arrival. The unit was clean and served our needs. As previously reported in other reviews, the beds were super comfortable. The unit itself is pretty basic and the overall property needs a serious facelift, but that is not the fault of the unit owners. One complaint is to replace the missing wooden clothes hanging bar in the master closet. The best part of the property is the location. The bedrooms in this unit (and others in this property) have windows facing into the hallways, letting in way too much light - bring your eye mask if you like to sleep in pitch blackness. Overall experience was great - we definitely felt like we got value for what we paid for.

Nice place on the mountain. 2nd floor unit.
I thought everything was, as stated in the listing.
Easy walk to get skis, food and drinks.
We rented a locker downstairs right next to the exit doors to the mountain for out skis and boots. Big time saver. Definitely recommend this option.
For an extra 15 bucks a day payable to the front desk at check in. I suggest bringing your own towels. The ones they had hanging up were a little funky. The comforter and the matching pillow cases on top of the bed was pretty funky too. The cleaning people must spray them with some kind of perfume. I removed all that stuff and just used the sheets. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we decided to come back to snowshoe.
The unit does not have a fully stocked kitchen, I do understand that items walk away during the rental season.
I was very disappointed with the onsite staff, we had a maintenance problem( tub would not drain) and i reported it to the front desk in the afternoon. ( front desk individual was very rude). I went the next morning to check on my request and the lady the night before had not even filled out a maintenance form for someone to stop by and fix the tub. Her response to me was that since we had another tub we could wait until tomorrow, very poor customer service.
This property was a comfortable size for our family of five since we were out skiing each day. The host provided all necessary kitchen ware and bedding. Overall the property is dated. The condo management company needs to do a better job cleaning as some of our utensils were sticky, there were food wrappers under the couch, and we were missing items such as the sink drain cover. They also did not clean the common areas such as vacuuming debris outside of doors on the carpet. This is not a reflection on the condo owner, but the condo management company.
Beds and pillows were comfortable. The bedrooms are bright, even at night due to the light pouring in the windows from the internal hallway that stay on 24/7. There are blinds, but they still allow in a great deal of light. Being used to sleeping in dark rooms, we all had a hard time getting and staying asleep in the rooms.
Our biggest complaint is that the bedrooms were very hot. This seems to be a building issue, not just this unit. My guess is that the owner is aware of this as there were ceiling fans, stand up fans, and tabletop portable fans. To get any airflow into the bedrooms, you have to sleep with the bedroom doors open and open the slider and/or exterior window a few inches then set up the fans to push/pull the air. This was fine for a while, but our child sleeping on the pull out sofa was laying next to the open door and was freezing (23-6 degrees at night while we were there). We never turned the heat on, it would have made the rooms unbearable.
The location was amazing. This ski in ski out property is truly that. You walk right out the doors with your gear and jump on a slope. It is also located at the end of the small village with is perfect. Parking was free and ample.
Overall, we would stay again. All things remaining the same, we'd bring sleep masks, summer sleep wear for the bedroom sleepers, and a down comforter for the person on the pull out couch.

Thanks for your review and constructive feedback, Shannon. Yes, your review mentions many things we have heard before and wish we could control the heat of the building. light coming into the bedroom, etc. But you mention great solutions which will be so helpful to future guests. Thank you for that! Glad you still enjoyed your stay!
There were empty cracker boxes and other trash in the cabinet with the pots and pans. The cast iron skillet was in the cabinet with grease and bacon bits still in it. I realize that this is the fault of your maids in charge of cleaning. My daughter has a rental in another state, so I know some things are out of your control but the curtains in the master and paint pulled off of the wall in the living room are not a good look. Maybe you haven't been to the property lately but a visit might be a good idea.
