We were in Revy for a family wedding. The house was perfect for our stay. We entertained our family who had travelled great distances to get there. The kitchen was a dream to work in and made entertaining a crowd easy. The outside space was perfect for a party. The house was beautifully renovated and a great place to stay. Ken was very attentive and welcoming.Highly recommend!

It was great to have Aigul and his guests at the base. They were kind courteous and respectful enjoyed their stay immensely and we were happy to have them , we would welcome them to come back anytime.
This house was a great location for a group trip. Aside from the ample space and sleeping arrangements, the kitchen is fantastic it comes with about every kitchen tool imaginable and makes cooking meals very easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property.
We had an awesome stay. Ken has thought of every detail from the heated gear room, hot tub, beds and linens. The kitchen is hands down the best stick kitchen of any place we’ve ever rented. The walk to The resort was easy even for our children ages 9 and 11. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
This is an amazing stay. Kenneth was an awesome host and guided us through getting groceries and finding activities in the area. The property has everything for a relaxing winter vacation. The hot tub and pool table can satiate any crowds needs. There were definitely used after a hard day skiing. The property is a perfect distance to the resort, short enough to walk but far enough for privacy. Highly recommend.
I have never stayed at a better place. There was every cooking utensil/appliance you could need. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes. The beds were comfortable. The best feature was the heated equipment room and large area to get your gear on. Will definitely stay here again.
Kenneth's property exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal. We walked to the resort and skied home every day. The kitchen has everything you need to make a big breakfast before hitting the hill and you can't beat an apres in the hot tub. We'll be staying here next time we're in Revelstoke.
The Base was, as expected, exceptional. Great place to spend time as a family and we really enjoyed the proximity to the hill and the amenities it offered. Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Kenneth was excellent at communicating and was very quick to reply to any questions. We really enjoyed our time and we are looking forward to going back.
Our second great stay at this property. The place has plenty of parking. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It's spacious. The beds are comfortable and linens nice. We'll back again next year at this time.
Great place with great location. Everything was super clean. Place was well stocked with just about everything. Laundry machine and drier worked well. The heated drying room is great for all your ski/board gear. Hot tub works great.
You can do a 5-10 min hike up a wooded area or hike 10-15 min on the road or drive 2 min to resort.
The Base is a great place for large groups to stay while visiting Revelstoke. The kitchen is wonderful with all the things you need to cook large meals. Ken, the home owner, is exceptionally easy to work with and answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. He did a great job accommodating our large group. We will definitely come back again in the future.
Son/brother's wedding
We appreciated the kitchen as we were helping with food for the reception and hosted the rehersal dinner.
The rehersal dinner for 22 people. The next day we were doing appitizers for 80 people. All went off without a hitch.
"The Base" was the perfect place for our group of four 60+ siblings, with our spouses, to have a family getaway. The home has everything you could possibly need for a large group. As mentioned in other reviews, the kitchen has virtually every appliance and gadgets you might ever want, and more. Given the fact our weather was a little showery, it was great to have such a nice place to hang out. There's more than enough room for a large group to spread out and have individual space, if wanted. I can't honestly think of anything else they could add to make it better.
Ken was available to answer any questions we may have had, and checked in with us when we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory. All in all it was a great get away.

"When I grow up, I want to live here!" 13 year old member of our group.
"Yeah, me too!" Mother of the 13 year old.
I travel extensively for work and leasure. I have slept in thousands of hotels and hundreds of short-term rentals in my life. This house is easily among one the better locations I've ever stayed in.
To say it is well-equipped is an understatement. It has every possible utensil and appliance you could want.
The aesthetic and layout is perfect for a mountain retreat.
The attention to detail is the best I've ever seen. Surge protectors at the side of each bed, a spacious gear room/mud room, a guitar (that was already tuned!), a basket full of foam rollers and massage balls. The list goes on and on!
It is on a secluded street and a short walk from the base of Revy.
Kenneth's customer services was exceptional. He takes pride in this house (and it shows), and he is an exceptionally accommodating and responsive host.
I'd recommend this location to all of my friends and family planning to visit Revelstoke.
Very spacious and comfortable house. Great for groups. Clean and great communication with host. Walkable to Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Very well stocked kitchen.
We found “The Base” to be the ideal house for our preseason avalanche forecasting meetings. The kitchen was by far the best equipped house we’ve stayed in for the past 15 years. There’s lots of parking. The beds were comfortable. The layout, too, was ideal for our gathering. We’ll definitely be back next year again.
Kenneth and his Base is just lovely. We are an extended family of eight including two kiddos. Spacious place with four good sized bedrooms. Would recommend and return over the winter.

About the host
Hosted by Kenneth Unser
Born and raised in Kelowna, BC I used to spend my summers in Revelstoke visiting my aunt, uncle and 3 cousins. Revelstoke always felt like a "home away from home" and in 2015 I made Revelstoke my permanent residency. I love to snowboard, fish, hike and cook. I put a lot of thought and consideration into designing the kitchen at The Base so my guests can really enjoy cooking and entertaining.
I wanted The Base to have a homegrown feel, so I have incorporated cedar and fir, from the local mill, into the design of the house.
I am excited to host guests and am available via phone or text to help make your visit to Revelstoke and stay at The Base memorable.
