Great central location ,stylish and light

Loved the central location. It was so easy to get around from the apartment. There were coffee,tea,all pots and pans-very well appointed. The apartment was spacious for us two friends. Really made our stay in Lyon feel like home.

Great location, very comfortable, old downtown vibe

We loved our stay in the old town. The space was comfortable, the bed was great, the amenities were excellent. The location is great as a base of operations, with many interesting sites within walking distance. Jean-Philippe loves his city, and does an excellent job of getting you oriented and of suggesting places you might want to visit and to eat. He was also very helpful getting us set up with early morning taxi service to the airport. I don't know if this is seasonal, but there were martins or swallows zooming past our windows and chirping most of the time. An unexpected bonus. Some folks have complained about the noise, but with one exception we found the noise level to be exactly what we expected for the location (it is in the middle of a city, you know). There was one instance when a small group on the street right outside was being completely inappropriate in the wee hours of the morning. In the first place, that can happen most anywhere. In the second, there is a superb shutter system that blocks out the light and the noise, so while it may be a little annoying to have to get up in the middle of the night to close the windows and shutters it's easy to eliminate the problem if it does happen.

Confortable et de bon goût idéalement situé

Nous avons passé 4 jours dans cet appartement avec notre petite-fille de 8 ans et nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour. L'appartement est très bien équipé, joliment décoré et idéalement situé en plein centre de Lyon, à proximité de tout y compris des transports en commun. Nous avons eu un petit souci de douche et l'agence est intervenue immédiatement. Le seul bémol est les chambres un peu bruyantes malgré les doubles vitrages. Nous y reviendrons volontiers.

Charming and peaceful

My wife and rented this property for a month and were delighted by its location, the decorating, the comfort of the beds, and the response by the management company (Jean Philippe especially) to our questions and concerns. While we were there circumstances beyond their control popped up (construction noise, cable TV problems, and coronavirus epidemic) but their response was incredible (and in English). Of course, nothing is perfect and if we were forced to come up with any alerts it would be the small shower, the lack of counter space in the bathroom and the kitchen, the lack of a clothes dryer in the unit, and the squeaky floorboards. But these are minor defects and for short stays irrelevant. We plan on going back to Lyon next year and most likely will stay here again. I guess that says it all.

A Mixed Bag

Terrific position , very central and close to restaurants and main tourist sites. Checking in was like being in a Mission Impossible movie. We had to go to another address use 2 codes to get in and open a key safe then go to the property. The owners/managers never personally met us, the only time after many of these stays that has happened. It’s not good enough to advertise an apartment as having a microwave that’s not there and then responding to a question about it by firstly saying it’s a mistake that will be corrected in the description of the apartment on the website and then criticising us for wanting a microwave. However, one was provided the next day. The saucepans were of poor quality as their non-stick coating was badly damaged and they had no handles so they were difficult to use. Although it’s an apartment for 4, some of the crockery was only enough for 3. There were no directions for the heat, which was not on when we arrived, and one of 2 heaters in the living room didn’t work. It was reported but not fixed. We read the reviews regarding noise but generally found the apartment quiet. Although the location is very central and the owners/managers were very helpful in suggesting where we could park our car, car access was difficult because the street is blocked off to car traffic. No advice on access was proffered beforehand although we had asked about whether we could pull up there to unload. It was a very mixed experience for us but I think it would be very good if you don’t have much luggage, aren’t driving and don’t want to cook in the apartment.

Dear Peter, I understand you review about the apartment, but we have well communicated with to fix all the problems you describe, so I think it's a little strong. As for the microwave, we drop off one instantly you make the demand and don't see where we made critics about that, as for the heat, we explained you how to make it work. And of course the ustensiles kitchen are not new but it's in used condition, our previous tenants have not made any comments on the equipment of the apartment because it is a newly renovated accommodation, we verifie all equipments each time the apartment is cleanned. As for the trafic in the street, it's normal as the apartment is located in the center, so you can stop 5 minutes to drop off your luggage but you can also find a pay place to park your car and take time to drop off your luggage in the apartment.
