We can’t wait to book another stay at this precious cottage!! We had a baseball tournament in Drippings Springs and didn’t have a lot of time to enjoy the beautiful, peaceful property but plan to return when we have more free time. It was a magical place! Absolutely perfect!

Thank you for your generous words~ and thank you for leaving the cottage so perfectly in order and clean! Next time, spend more time enjoying the vista of the hills and relaxing on the porch! I look forward to hosting you sooner than later!
Everything we needed was here! Only suggestions are: please add grab bar or twoto bath and shower - since water is so wonderfully soft, soapy skin adds to slippery conditions; secure dishwasher to wall; and, add easier steps or railings to entrance onto porch from parking areas.

All such good suggestions! You were all such wonderful guests. We are on it!
We had an amazing stay at Monticello Cottage during the holidays. It was decorated beautifully and had the perfect amount of space for our family of 4 plus dog. It was well stocked with what we needed for cooking and relaxation. My kids loved the games and coloring activities in the upstair loft area as well as relaxing on the hammock, jumping on the trampoline and roasting smores in the fire pit. We enjoyed its proximity to Pedernales Falls state park for hiking. Our host, Nicolette, was super responsive to our needs and gave great recommendations before our stay. We would love to return!
Best place to stay if looking for quiet, serene place that’s close enough to town to get groceries and shop. The owners did a perfect job of creating a wonderful space to relax and enjoy a Texas get away. All accommodations were well appointed and not to cluttered. Pet friendly with a good place to walk dogs and get great exercise walking the hills. We will definitely stay again.

Thank you for being such fabulous guests. I so enjoyed meeting you!
This place was perfect for our family’s short get away! We were close to Pedernales Falls where we wanted to spend some days hiking, but the house had a trampoline, hammock, gas fire pit for s’mores, awesome playroom, and plenty more for kids to do if we took a slow morning at the house as well. The kids loved it and we even brought our dog as it’s pet friendly. The whole family enjoyed it! The baby gate installed at top of stairs was super helpful, and I love that the house water is filtered and kitchen has reverse osmosis just like we have at home! Interior is beautiful as pictured. Reminds us of the place in Tuscany we stayed this past summer. Nicolette, the host, is wonderful. Super quick to respond and she even came to say hi when we were roasting marshmallows. She’s super friendly and personable. We felt right at home and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Kids already asked when we can come back! Thank you, Nicolette, for sharing your beautiful home!

We stayed here as our home base for a weekend in the Hill Country. The home is very centrally located for us. Home was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay.
Gorgeous environment to relax and enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. Our hosts were delightful, accommodating and friendly. Loved the special touches like the special coffee they provided.
Enjoyed our return to Monticello. Great location for a visit to Texas hill country. Nicolette, our very hospitable and attentive host, made sure everything was perfect for our stay.
We stayed at Monticello Cottage over the weekend while we were in town for a wedding. The house was clean, spacious, and is in a beautiful area. I had some last minute questions and the host always responded quickly. This home is lovely and was a perfect place for us to stay. Highly recommend!
We had a great family stay during Christmas break. The house is charming and the owner was extremely responsive to questions. The home has numerous accommodations to make you feel like you are truly at home. My kids loved the trampoline and fire out for s’mores. Would highly recommend this rental.

Relaxing Wildlife Wonder
We truly enjoyed our stay at this charming home. The property was full of wildlife including deer, birds, and a small grey fox. It was a comfortable and inviting place to relax and get away while still being close to town for great food.
The Monticello cottage was everything we hoped it would be. It is quiet and yet not far from wineries, great restaurants, and wonderful parks. The owners fixed any problems we had within minutes and gave us great ideas of things to do in the area. We highly recommend this stay

You were simply the IDEAL guests anyone could wish for, and considering you were here for a month, made it even more evident what perfect guests you were. You were so interested in our beautiful area, you had fun, you looked after Monticello Cottage as if it were your own, and I loved Tucker, your well behaved, clean, obedient poodle. Please come back!
Every single detail was thought of! We absolutely loved our stay. We were so impressed with the property, the amenities, and the hosts. It was a dream weekend.

I am a violinist, conductor and educator, as is my husband. We both love art, concerts, hiking, cycling, cooking, entertaining, traveling and spending time with our friends, children and grandchildren . I spend my life teaching the violin, viola and conducting youth chamber orchestras all over the world. Monticello Cottage is our haven.
Why they chose this property
We bought this land as it reminded us of the bushveld in South Africa, where we were born and raised.
What makes this property unique
Monticello Cottage is built from local white stone to fit into the Hill Country culture and architecture. The feeling of space and quiet allows for creativity and replenishing of thoughts and ideas. The views and sunsets are beautiful.
