Cute and cozy space, with country charm. Great location. Comfortable bed, nice little yard. Nice tasting room on property. Responsive host. 10 minutes to Pismo Beach. Recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Chris and the team were wonderful, the place itself was perfect and the Sextant Wine Team were amazing. We Would stay here again and again !
We are locals and just got married, so we decided to stay here for the night of. It was really a nice place to stay. The host provides info about what all is included for your stay before hand so you can prepare.
Great stay and experience. It's difficult to describe, but felt detached from urban or downtown life. Enjoyed the peace but also enjoyed the option of a quick drive or bike ride to DT SLO, Pismo, or AG.
My partner and I had a wonderful time at the DeSolina cottage. If you’re looking for a rural setting but close to town this is a great choice. A 10-15 min drive to town but feels a world away. The host was very friendly and communicative. Highly recommend for a nice getaway. We’ll be back again.
This cottage is absolutely darling.
With the wine tasting room only steps away, it was almost like I had my own private vintner/sommelier.
The sunrises and sunsets were delightful, along with the resident doves that would coo from the beautiful California pepper trees.
The cottage was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay.
I’m looking forward to staying here again, next time I’m in the area.
We loved our stay at the cottage. The check in process for easy and the host was responsive to our requests while at the cottage. The kitchen was perfect for coffee and breakfast bagels. No stove or cooktop...so don't plan on any big meal preparation while staying at the cottage. There is a fridge but no freezer. Great for a 2 night stay. Nice to walk over the tasting room for a glass of wine!
I loved it, as a single mom of five beautiful children the time and money I get to spend on myself is a very limited resource. I am so grateful for this sweet home away from home cottage. Thank you so much for giving me back a beautiful serene place to call home, nothing beats it!

The good: The location is very good, which is why we chose it. Easy access to Pismo Beach and the 101 as well as SLO. The place is very clean and well appointed. Bed is comfortable and living space is good with comfortable chairs and nice TV. Hosts were very responsive to a couple of issues we had and were very friendly.
The not so good: It's pretty small, two adults max. The kitchen has a coffee pot and a tiny microwave. The refrigeration unit (it's not a refrigerator) does not provide for a way to make or keep ice - and it's really loud. If you're a light sleeper this could be a problem. If it's cold weather turn on heaters first thing - they take a while. The shower is pretty cool but it's small inside and getting in and out is not for the weak :) The bathroom is good - two sinks but not much counter space. Also, there are no closets so not much space for your stuff.
Overall- great little place if you don't plan to eat there (take out or delivery only) or spend a lot of time in the cabin. It's right next to the Sexton tasting room so that's a plus as well :)
This was a darling venue in the middle of a historic piece of property and it was well appointed with antiques. Great use of the small space and it was the perfect size for me and my husband who were out doing things during the day, including tasting at the winery within walking distance (very fun benefit!).
We had a little challenge trying to turn off the alarm when we arrived but that could have been a user error. We quickly fixed it. There was a loud refrigerator, as another guest noted, but use of the fan helped with the white noise to blot that sound out.
The host let us know that we should bring our own personal care items and I was happy to not add to the landfill by bringing things like shampoo & toothpaste. I was completely surprised, though, that they didn't even provide soap for the shower. But they did provide dish soap for the kitchen so that's kind of weird.
Additionally, this property would be so much more usable and enjoyable if the deck plants were kept alive & the furniture cleaned off in advance. Both of these negatives seem like very easy fixes and I would happily stay again.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Rough experience
The pictures are kinda deceiving , while accurate they do not depict the location in real time .. the ourdoor spaces cannot be used because they are so overgrown and dirty (patio and patio furniture) The Bed is not sutible at all for sleeping , its broen down and must be really old . And the bathroom smells realt bad of pet urine if the floor gets wet at all Its also really really dark at night It does offer outstanding proximity to pismo and nearby coastal cities but I will not stay again
