The property was everything we were hoping for in terms of a Thanksgiving getaway: perfect location near the lake, beautiful natural surroundings, total quiet and darkness at night, spacious and luxurious interior, very clean, a large kitchen with everything we needed to cook a Thanksgiving feast, totally safe, wifi and the usual streaming TV services whenever we needed to work or connect to the outside world...couldn't ask for more!
Stunning property with an awe inspiring view. We have been going on these family trips using VRBO properties for over a decade and this was our favorite property yet. Great open timber framed layout with high quality furnishings and appointments. Serene setting with “easy” access to Coeur d’Alene and the lake - the road in is a lovely drive but is a bit winding after multiple trips (but still worth it for the view). The entire family absolutely loved the home and the area. Coeur d’Alene seems like a truly magnificent place. We especially loved all the open, public space in town around the lake. Make sure you hike Tubbs Hill and maybe take a sea plane ride (Brookes?) while you’re in town. If you have young children, there are multiple playgrounds within a short walk of various public parking lots at the lake. If you book this property (or anywhere close to it), stop in to the local general store a few miles away… good food, great view/atmosphere and very friendly people.
We are truly grateful owners like these make their properties available for families to enjoy a wonderful time getting together in a “home way from home” setting. Couldn’t have been more comfortable if it had been one of our own. Great communication and Liz went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smoothly. Couldn’t be happier with our stay… except that it came to an end!
This property is spectacular. We were a group of 7 adults and were we all very comfortable and all had plenty of room during our stay. The house has everything you could possibly need. If we're in the area again we will definitely stay again.
We celebrated the engagement of our son to his lovely girlfriend on Christmas Eve! The atmosphere was filled with magic and so much love! Christmas Day was filled with snow! We made a huge dinner with all the trimmings where we all gathered around the huge table together! This trip could not have turned out any better!
This property is beautiful, spacious comfortable and cozy. The property manager was exceptional helpful and Idaho is awesome. We will be back. Thank you.
This is a home away from home. Such an amazing property in a perfect location with the most beautiful views of the lake. We loved the time we spent here and look forward to coming back ASAP! There is one complaint, there are some MASSIVE spiders in the downstairs bathrooms but they weren’t a big issue at all. By far my favorite vrbo I’ve stayed at! The property manager was great and replies quickly as well!
What a wonderful property with incredible views. The home was very inviting and warm for our family vacation. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed playing cards at the poker table and around the dining room table. The views are just breathtaking!
The Koa House was beautiful and had gorgeous views. This spacious home was very comfortable , clean, and well-equipped. Our family of ten enjoyed countless hours on the back deck and main floor kitchen/dining/living room areas cooking, eating, visiting, relaxing, playing games, etc. We have many happy memories of our time here and would recommend this property to anyone.

About the host
Hosted by Liz Anderson
We are Southern Californians who love visiting our beautiful Coeur D'Alene house! We love family and friends, and absolutely love being able to be together as a group in the very comfortable house! We love the change of seasons, the animal sightings, and incredible lake view. We are a multi-generational family, all in different stages of life; a toddler to great-grandparents, and everything in between. Our home celebrates family, and is a place where beautiful memories are always made, no matter which time of year we come to visit!
Why they chose this property
We LOVE the natural beauty of the Lake Coeur D'Alene, the trees, deer, the dark nights and serene tranquility. It is quiet, where you sleep the best. It is a place of rejuvenation, without the loud noise, and hustle and bustle of daily life. Access to trails and the lake keeps us active. We also appreciate that we are not too far from civilization when we need to shop, eat out, or shop in darling downtown CDA, all right on the lake!
What makes this property unique
The house is built with beautiful North-Western mountain architecture that stays true to the environment. Wood beams and high-quality flooring, comfortable furniture and beds. The house has a view for miles off the expansive deck, perfect for sharing meals, gazing at the lake, coffee or cocktails, and skygazing at night where darkness allows views of the stars, and sometimes the Aurora Borealis! The house is completely comfortable for a group of 10, with plenty of space to be together or to find some alone time. Cookware and bakeware provided allow lots of opportunity to make something delicious. It is a house that lets you getaway, but yet is close enough to get to the stores, restaurants, and to all the activities available in the most beautiful place on earth! It is a home that is versatile, beautiful, and comfortable!
