Our stay was very enjoyable and the property manager was fast to respond and answer questions. The only kitchen item that we couldn't find was a can opener! One of those would be helpful.
Host was very nice and responsive. We comfortably had 8 in the house with our dog (all adults except 2, 1 teen and 1 preteen). I’m always a bit worried staying in a pet friendly house but you couldn’t tell pets had been there before. Plenty of room to move around and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other.
The location was perfect for us, and large enough for 3 kids, 7 adults and a dog to not be tripping over each other. Check in was easy, and the house was comfortable and well equipped. Thanks for making our trip so enjoyable!Def
Plenty of room. Nice neighborhood and Neighbors. At the end of the Neighborhood, but in massanutten property to access all activities. We will be back.
Easy to get to everything around the Massanutten resort. Large entry foyer which was great for storing ski equipment indoors Driveway big enough to hold four cars!
We stayed there for the children to enjoy the resort and us to relax. The place was clean, comfortable and close to everything. The place is well equipped. Since this is an individual house inside the resort, the surroundings were quiet. The property manager was responsive to our questions. We would stay again.

We visited a winery that was very nice!! The house need some updates the TV does not have cable that was really upsetting cause we love football on Sunday the TV that could get games was in master bedroom! The house had a gloomy feeling like no one cares about.
this is a spacious home with a bathroom on every floor. Large kitchen and comfortable bedrooms (one is an open loft with uncovered sky light (best room for the early riser). Worked perfectly for parents weekend at JMU

Alison, I am so glad you and your family had an enjoyable time. Would love to have you come back and stay. Michelle
After reading some mixed reviews of this property, I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with everything. The house was large and spacious. It was very clean. There was plenty of room for two families of five in the location just a few minutes outside of the ski resort was great. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

Jame, I appreciate your review. I have update the property with new carpet, tile and new games. Decks have all been power washed.
Had a great family weekend… the property was great. Neighbors were very nice and talkative!! Trash was full when we got there but we took it out for the next guests and we couldn’t locate the baby gates. So ask before you go where things are that are listed but might not be left out.
This house is great for bigger groups. We had 8 people and it never felt crowded. There was room to spread out and room to all sit together for a meal or a game. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the lowest level and a huge master bedroom and loft bedroom on the top level, 1 huge living room and another sitting room off the dining area. Loved the small touches that made things easy for us: dressers, closets, luggage racks, extra blankets, starter paper products and soaps. Bonuses: beautiful mountain neighborhood, nearby shopping, restaurants and a really cool brewery (Cave Hill Farms) and a nice treadmill in the house. The property manager was very nice and responsive...made us feel welcomed.
Everything was as described in the listing.
Pros: Very nice quite dead end street.
Neighbors not in your space
big driveway
Size of the house excellent for a big family
Lots of rooms for everyone to hang out
Cons:
Bathrooms outdated
Master bathroom stand up shower very very small. Dont know why when there is so much of space to make it bigger.
Need more chairs for the dining table
Only two TV's worked. But this could be a Pro since it forced the kids to interact with the family.
Overall we would stay at this property again.

The property was dated, but everything we used was functional (ex dishwasher and coffee pot, we did not cook tho). The price took account of the dated-ness. There were 2 large living rooms which was nice.
The dated didn’t bother me too much but the bugs did. As soon as we walked in there was a massive number of earwigs right in the indoor entryway. We immediately called the property manager and they sent someone who vacuumed the area but said there was nothing else they could do. There were more earwigs in the basement (where 2 BR and a bath are) and we had to kill them each time we went down there and every time we entered the house. They ended up in our bags and we had to clear them out. In the primary bath upstairs I found large ants and small roaches. We couldn’t really leave as it was JMU grad and there weren’t any openings but it was very icky.
Additionally, the beds were all on very low frames which would be an issue for someone with mobility issues.
Great neighborhood great place to stay will definitely stay again

This is a great house for family get togethers. There is plenty of room and the deck is wonderful!
Easy access to go back and forth to JMU. Loved the bedrooms and multiple places for people to stay.
We would go again!

Terrible
This property was dirty, had mold, doors were broken, blinds were broken, the floors were sticky, the carpet was dirty, the sheet was dirty with stains on, the grille was dirty, drawers in the kitchen were nasty and dirty. We had to spend time cleaning washing sheets/towels, dishes. This property should not be rented out to the house is repaired and has gone thru some deep cleaning. We would have left however, we could not find a place on such short notice and we would be out of the funding spent on this property.

I have a beautiful property and this type of review is not warranted. I have purchased new furniture prior to her stay and had the property
cleaned twice before the renter entered the house. I have hired a new management team since her stay. I do want my guest to have a good time and a clean place. I did express my concerns about this renter to VRBO.
Over all the house itself was in good shape but the Amenities of the house wasn't there were Several broken Items all the dinning room chairs were broken the TVs in some of the rooms were not working the downstairs bathroom shower needs repair the living room couch needs to be replaced some or all the kitchen wear needs to be replace towels and wash cloths to be replace all were old also all the beds needs to be replace old and broken as nice as the house is it has alot of Issues the owner is a great host but house Amenities need to be updated great house quite area will love to stay there again if all the Amenities of house is updated

Nice house, bad upkeep
I liked the house but we did have a bunch of issues. No extra toilet paper, towels or garbage bags. Multiple broken items like chairs and beds. Cigarette butts on the deck. No batteries in the remotes or grill. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and utensils but very in organized. The house would be great with a little TLC.
