Third year here and another wonderful stay. We are always seeing improvements and this year the trails were freshly revitalized around the property, some new chairs to replace old, and little thoughtful things added like a jigsaw puzzle board (very popular with our group). We will be returning next year if the host will have us!
Loved the snowy mountain views. Plenty of snowshoeing and cross country sking on this peaceful property. Everyone gad a great stay in this beautiful home.

Jim, you and your family were such clean and attentive guests! I have enjoyed your snowman too! Thank you for all the little touches — supposed to be the host that does those, so I was especially touched. Glad to have you back any time.
Beautiful property in a magnificent location with a wonderful view of Mt. Monadnock. There is a nearly one mile hiking loop entirely on the property suitable for walking with our dog. Also an expansive field in the back of the house where we viewed wild turkey, deer and the occasional coyote. Smaller lawn in the back where we could stake out our dog and enjoy the unseasonably warm weather. The house itself is private without another home in view but close to grocery stores in Rindge and Peterborough. The home was clean and well stocked with cooking utensils, a gourmet gas stove as well as a gas grill which we used more than the stove. Just a great house and we hope to return.
Beautiful view and amazing house with everything needed for a comfortable stay
Gorgeous location with beautiful view of Mt Monadnack. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this house and will definitely rent again for my family.

Very kind of you and I appreciate it. Family vacations are what my family's home is made for.
It had been two years since we stayed at this property, and we enjoyed this visit as much or more than the last! The hosts continue to make upgrades to the property, and you still can't beat the view! We enjoyed local restaurants, hiking and of course, the changing colors! Can't wait until we visit again!
Communication with Emily was great! Property well suited for us and well located for hiking and the many daytrips we had planned. Would absolutely stay there again!!

They were so great with the place -- I was impressed with how well they cleaned it despite working so hard on their job. It was a pleasure to have them stay at our home and I hope they enjoyed it.
This home was a perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy rural NH in a comfortable space. The home was just as the listing described and communication with the host was very good. The kitchen and home were well stocked with anything we could wish for. Even with terrible weather, we played games, listened to music, read about the history of Jaffrey, watched the wild turkeys, and wondered at the deep family history of the house. The field, mountain view and surrounding forests are gorgeous.
This home was such an ideal spot for our family of 6. A perfect mix of NH charm and modern conveniences. Everything was clearly organized and clean. The house is STOCKED with everything you can possibly need. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return.

What a nice review! I appreciate it. I love having a stocked kitchen -- who wants to go out and pick up a tablespoon of cumn after you're already tucked into some serious cooking?
Wonderful property for relaxing. If you love to cook, this gourmet kitchen is divine. Emily has everything you could imagine to make a divine meal while you gaze at mount Modnanuck. This place is great for couples or multiple families.

I'm glad another gourmand enjoyed the house -- that's how it should be
Our family totally enjoyed this spacious home . We had hoped for snow for sledding on the hillsides, but the nice walking paths made up for it . Owners were great to work with and we appreciated the “ family” home that they shared with us !
We’d love to come back !!
This is our second time here and this country home continues to be an exceptional choice for our annual retreat in NH. Clean, well-organized, private, spacious. Nice to see some upgrades from last year too, which shows that our hosts continue with regular upkeep and improvement of the chalet. We’ll be back!

Thank you,Linda. You’re great guests to have come! Glad for your feedback and tips on how to make our home work best for guests
This property is amazing to relax and unwind. We stayed for a week & worked at the home. We were pleasantly surprised with the WiFi speed. We also loved the convenience of being close to Keene for good food & a little town. The house was cute & rustic but in a perfect way with wood floors & wood burning stove. The views are incredible from every window!
My husband and I snd our 3 adult children stayed here for a fall family weekend. The home and view are beautiful. The house is laid out such that a good deal of the rooms face a view of Mount Monadnock. The kitchen is a cook’s dream with high end stove and a wall of spices! We had a wonderful stay!
The property has a ton of character and is perfect for family gatherings. There is privacy and amazing views of the mountain. We saw deer and turkeys on the property every day. The kitchen is amazing and the house has games for everyone. The owners were great to communicate with and I would give this five stars!!

About the host
Hosted by Emily Isaacs
I have grown up vacationing at this property my whole life. Built in 1935 by my great-aunt, in 1975 my mother and father inherited it and greatly expanded it. It has been passed to me and my husband and three sons, and is a place we have spent many weekends and vacations. We live and work a few hours away, and have busy teenage children so it's a good time to rent it out part-time. I am a professor and my husband is a software engineer. My father who is responsible for most of the amazing details that make this house useful and beautiful was an engineer by training.
Why they chose this property
Jaffrey, NH is a jewel of a community: quiet and uncrowded, but with great sightseeing, hiking, swimming and water activities all around. The clean air, hilly trails with unexpected vistas, wild berries (and animals too) all have made this property a restorative place for me. When I need more civilization, the restaurants in town are good, and both Keene and Peterborough, among other communities, are charming villages for shopping, antiquing, and excellent dining. There are many opportunities to explore other interests -- golf, horseback riding, farm tours, fruit picking, glass blowing, hiking (for an easier hike than Monadnock, try Gap Mountain), ice cream (Kimballs is great), theater (check out Peterborough Players), and on and on.
What makes this property unique
The 17-acre property is nestled within several properties, 60 acres of which are owned as second properties by my brother and cousin; surrounding these are even more woods, allowing for extraordinary privacy. Wildlife abound -- in the little brook as well as the woods, with opportunities to see deer, wild turkey and pheasants, woodpeckers, red foxes, rabbits, soaring hawks, and other large birds.
