A charming former stone farmhouse, recently refurbished with a modern touch while keeping all its original Tuscan character. Ideal for nature lovers, this peaceful retreat overlooks the Chiana Valley, surrounded by ancient olive trees and open countryside.

Outside, stone tables scattered across the grounds invite long, lazy breakfasts, barbecue lunches and candlelit dinners under the Tuscan sky. The grounds are generous and lovely for walking or picnicking, and the property sits on an ancient Roman path — follow it for 30 minutes and you'll find yourself in the hilltop village of Cortona or at the foot of the medieval Montecchio Vesponi Castle.

The farmhouse offers 2 ensuite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a warm living and dining area downstairs — everything you need to feel completely at home.

In the summer months, cool off in our shared natural biopool — chemical-free, serene, and perfectly in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

A beautiful base for discovering Tuscany and Umbria: Cortona is just around the corner, with Arezzo, Montepulciano, Siena and Perugia all within easy reach — perfect for day trips, wine tours and wandering.

Natur pur

Wir fahren seit vielen Jahren nach Italien und hatten bisher nie eine so saubere und gepflegte Unterkunft. Das Haus ist geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für seinen Urlaub braucht. Selbst Mückenstecker in den Schlafzimmern waren installiert. Elisabetta und ihr Mann waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, egal worum es ging. Fragen wurden zügig, immer freundlich und zuvorkommend beantwortet. Beide sind sehr sicher in Englisch und Italienisch. Die Lage des Objektes ist wundervoll in der Natur und ruhig, trotzdem ist man innerhalb weniger Fahrminuten bei einem Supermarkt oder in der nächsten Ortschaft. Zwei Restaurants sind fussläufig erreichbar. Wir hatten unsere Hündin Luna mit. Sie durfte sich überall frei bewegen. Es gibt aber auch einen großen, sicher eingezäunten Bereich, direkt am Haus für Fellnasen. Wir danken Elisabetta und ihrer Familie für die Gastfreundlichkeit und die schöne und erholsame Zeit in ihrem Landhaus.

Villa 2 Elisabetta has been in my family for many years. My grandfather bought the property the 1970s when he retired. The house and grounds were one of the jewels of his life.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I got married at the Villa a few years ago and decided to convert part of the property into a guesthouse. We want to share this beautiful location with others curious about Tuscany and Umbria, nature and local gastronomy.

Will be more than happy to help out during your stay on best travel arrangements, places to visit or nearby restaurants. Can also give advice at activities in the area: cycling, horse riding and other.
