CASA SIMBA - Where the fun begins!

CASA SIMBA is a cute and cozy condo situated in the area of Livramento, in Ponta Delgada. It is a 15 minute drive from the airport and a 10 minute drive to the city centre.
CASA SIMBA is in a gated complex with a pool, designated barbeque area and free parking. There is beautiful green space to enjoy, including native flowers and guava and araca trees.
CASA SIMBA has been newly painted and decorated. From the condo you have a beautiful view of the ocean from both the living room and the master bedroom.
CASA SIMBA has a kitchen complete with dishes and cutlery, toaster, coffee machine and tea kettle. A balcony off the kitchen looks over plush green fields and mountains in the distance. The living room has a good sized balcony where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee and watch the waves. CASA SIMBA also features 2 smaller balconies (Romeo and Juliet) off both bedrooms.
Livramento is a quiet residential area. Two popular beaches, Praia do Populo and Praia das Milicias, and beautiful walking paths along the ocean, are yours to enjoy only a 2 minute walk away.
Several restaurants, ideal for coffee and a pastry or a nice lunch or dinner, are a 5 minute walk, including 2 right on the beach. Restaurants in the area have great ocean views.
There is also a large grocery store within walking distance or a quick 2 minute drive, offering many food choices, as well as wine and local beer. It also offers a bistro with a variety of goodies, including coffee and a traditional Portuguese 'pastel de nata' or a light meal.
A short distance from CASA SIMBA is the start of the 'Avenida', a scenic walk along the ocean that takes you to the historical city gates or the port. You can also drive along the Avenida, if preferred.
The Avenida is a great place to start discovering all that Ponta Delgada has to offer. If your walk is brisk, you may want to have a quick dip in the ‘pesqueira’ (area within the port across from outside restaurants). Shower facilities are available for 1 euro, and there are many great spots to grab a bite or a cold drink. Along the way, you will find tourist activities for all tastes, including whale watching, museums, incredible churches and many wonderful restaurants to choose from. Set your self free and take in all that Sao Miguel has to offer.
From CASA SIMBA many great tourist attractions can be easily accessed by car or bus. The bus stop for public transportation is around the corner from the complex.

This VRBO greatly served our needs. It had a wonderful living area, a heat source when needed as well as air. Elisabete came to our assistance when needed. They were very accommodating with early check in given we had a 625am arrival. The location is well suited to explore the island. Elisabete provided great recommendations for sightseeing and dining.

Great stay

Great location, safe neighborhood, close to resturants. We had to park outside on the street a few times because there were no available parking spots in the building parking, but that was outside of the owners control. Street parking outside was free and close as well. Very clean, beautiful interior. Very nice welcome basket. They cleaned half way through the week as well and gave us new towels which was super nice. Great stay, would recommend.

Amazing!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience in the Azores and this beautiful unit we stayed in! It was excellent! The communication with the host was excellent and Ricardo was superb- kind, great communication and helpful about the unit and services in the Azores!! This is a great location by the beach that has a restaurant called Sunset Beach which was a fantastic place for food and drinks! 5 stars all around! Thank you for an incredible stay in the Azores!

Casa Simba: one of the best rental experiences we’ve had!

Our first expression was, Wow, even better than what we expected. The pictures posted does not do the apartment justice. The view on both sides is simply amazing and one we already miss. Everything was so clean (inside and outside) and welcoming with traditional Azores items. House manager was super kind, friendly, and attentive. Anytime we had a question or needed something, we had a response within hours. The beach is a quick 5-10 minute walk from apartment. The pool was so nice to have right in the backyard. It was always clean and never crowded. We felt safe in this location and we had a blast. We highly recommend this apartment.

Fantastisch

Wij hebben een geweldig fijne tijd op Sao Miguel gehad. Casa Simba is precies zoals op de foto's in de advertentie. Het 2-persoonsbed is misschien wat klein voor Nederlandse begrippen, maar wij hebben prima geslapen. Voor onze aankomst hadden wij al via mail en Whatsapp contact met de eigenaar. Erg prettig. Het ontvangst verliep soepel. Het mandje met een aantal welkomstgeschenken is natuurlijk extra leuk. Casa Simba ligt ideaal om het eiland te verkennen. Zeker een aanrader!

Fantastic location and great beach / pool

We loved our stay. The apartment was clean and perfect for our family. The beds were comfy and we felt the place had more than enough room for our family. It was nice to have laundry and a great drying rack to dry clothes after our adventures. Check in went smoothly! We really liked the location it was quite easy to walk to the beach or take a dip in the pool. It was only 10 mins to the center of Ponta Delgado and about in the middle of the island so we could visit everywhere easily. Would definitely stay here again!!

Nice Apartment in enclosed complex

The Apartment would be perfect equipped, if the double bed in the master bedroom would be larger = wider. Unfortunately it has only French size, which is not so convenient for all couples. Further, the wind created some noise, which we tried to stop by closing the window shutters in the kitchen, which are unfortunately the only manual ones - the other rooms have electric window shutters. Otherwise, really nothing to complain about the apartment itself. Some remarks about the L-shaped apartment complex: It consists of each 7 apartments on the ground level and 1st floor. This apartment is on 1st Level on the Eastern end, which is nice. A bit unfortunate was the situation with some other inhabitants during our stay. Because of COVID there were no tourists, but the complex was almost fully occupied, most probably all by the owners, inhabitants of São Miguel and their friends. Some of these used their unit as party location for the weekend, which made it necessary for us to raise a complaint. Fortunately, it did not happen again, respectively when some kids were jumping into the pool after 11 pm, we told them directly to stop. And the owner and also the managing company were very sorry about the behavior of some of the other inhabitants and invited us to a dinner at a close restaurant. Maybe, it would be helpful to post the house rules on some doors of the complex, as we have seen during other stay at different places.

Great apartment in a perfect location

Great apartment in a perfect location close to a couple of beaches with cafes but also within easy access to the city and main routes round the island. Pool's lovely too!

A great place to stay

We stayed in Casa Simba for 2 weeks and truly enjoyed the place. The apartment is very well decorated and fits perfectly with the description. You can find all needed equipment in the apartment. Our kids really enjoyed the nice swimming pool and we loved the great ocean view from the terrasse. The apartment is located in a quite area and there is a nice beach walking distance. Our guest Sara was a true charm during our stay. She made sure that our stay would be perfect and gave us some really good advises for restaurant and activities. We would definitely recommend Casa Simba to anyone looking at discovering this beautiful island.
