My 1,600 square foot home will delight your eyes and provide casual indoor and outdoor comfort with 10 minute access to the lively, friendly town of Ketchum. It rests in a quiet, safe, dog-friendly, and desirable neighborhood north of Ketchum, out of the traffic stream and beneath lovely mountains with numerous, interlocking biking and hiking trails. Windows on almost every wall look out on the large yard with lawn, tall conifers and aspens, several dispersed gardens, and two river stone porches.

Magical!

What a lovely neighborhood and an even lovelier owner! Walking distance to trails and fishing. We liked being out of the downtown bustle and very much enjoyed this home and the backyard patio. Thank you for sharing your home and for being so welcoming-- it made our stay!

Great home in quiet neighborhood.

This home is perfect for a small family looking for a comfortable location out of the touristy towns to explore the Sawtooth Forest lands. Our host was gracious and attentive to our needs. If we ever come back to this beautiful area, we would definitely consider staying here again!

Beautiful Ketchum

Beautiful house in quiet neighborhood just outside of town. Direct trail access for biking and hiking. Amazing stars. Very dog friendly area. Owner was very nice, responsive and generous to host us in her own home.

Sun Valley Paradise

Jima is a great host, very accommodating and welcoming. We had a great stay in her beautiful, cozy home. We had our kids in tow and they loved it, but they had a hard time not getting into everything so if you are traveling with kids be aware that although this place is very family friendly it is not child proof but things can be put up or away from small hands. There was great access to everything in Sun Valley, the views were stunning and it was a fun trip.

It was fun to have Phoebe and her family stay at my place. They communicated easily and left the home and property in fine shape. They were especially very considerate of the many "chachkes" (sp) in my house - which I've now realized is not a good place to children to visit!!! Great guests!

Nice quiet neighborhood, easy biking distance from all the activity of downtown Ketchum. Home is owner occupied, so understand that owner’s personal belongings are there. Still left plenty of room. Very bright in the morning...if you’re one to sleep in, rethink your choice. If you’re onecti be up and at ‘em, it’s fantastic! Definitely two bedrooms, upstairs accommodating a couple, downstairs single with a trundle. Worked fine for us! Nice backyard. Owner is very responsive.

I live in this wonderful home that I completely renovated the year after I bought it in 1997. I dropped walls, installed lots of windows, speakers in every room, open space, lovely wood floors, and pale green stucco on the exterior walls. It's the fifth home I've either built or renovated. Everyone compliments me on the cozy warmth of the place which has the same wood accents as the Stanley cabin some of you may have once stayed in (and which I sold five years ago).

I'm a psychologist who loves the outdoors, adventure, animals, and people (border collies, mutts, and blue heelers have been pets -- and now a cat that tries hard to be a dog.) As a psychologist, I need to speak with potential renters before a reservation is absolutely confirmed. VRBO does not allow this, but please know that when asked by you to reserve a space, I will say yes as required, but then call you to make sure we're on the same page for what I offer and what you want.

I live a wonderful community, both my neighborhood and the Valley, with down-to-earth people (providing lots of thoughtful friends) , amazing arts and culture, and a wide choice of incredible outdoor activities.

I look forward to talking with you and inviting you to stay in my home with your friends or family - or on your own - for a comfortable get-away or working vacation in Sun Valley.

Why they chose this property

I've always lived north of Ketchum in a more wide open area at the edge of wilderness. Having grown up in New York City, living in any urban area seems impossible now! My 1/3 acre is sunny, made up of a lawn edged by huge trees, and a few small gardens. It is in one of the most sought after Valley neighborhoods with its mix of high-end and middle-class homes, away from city traffic yet close to Ketchum, and cupped by amazing mountain views that harbor fabulous woods, creeks, sage fields, and wildflowers.

Because I do live here, I usually rent for only one week at a time, but from May 26 to June 10, I'm taking a two week vacation to Tanzania and Zanzibar and like my home to have company when I'm not here. I will deposit my cat with friends, unless you want to entertain her!

I think I've covered all unique benefits: quiet, dark sky neighborhood and Valley, neighborhood lifestyle, beautiful views, little traffic, and outdoor adventures - and all of it seven minutes from Ketchum's attractions.
