We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in this stunningly beautiful home. The owners paid great attention to detail, and it was well equipped for every need. This was our best ever VRBO experience.
Great home! The view was AMAZING! We spent every evening on the deck, watching the sunset. Kitchen was mostly well-stocked (need foil), house was comfortable & AC unit was great. Location was perfect!
We enjoyed our stay at this house. The views and sunsets were great. Its close to several attractions, the roaring river and marinas. We would stay here again!
This was a lovely home with beautiful views. All the comforts of home with amazing amenities! The property manager Chalea made our stay so easy, and was always available for tips on dining etc.We really enjoyed being so close to other families staying in Cottage on the Rocks, lil Woody, Shanty etcAll the properties were meticulously maintained and had all the amenities of home!We will be back for sure!Chalea and her husband are amazing owners of these properties!! Thank you so much!
Beautiful home with close access to Eureka Springs and Branson! Lots to do and a beautiful home to enjoy Table Rock Lake views. Would highly recommend!
My girlfriends and I had the most wonderful experience at Daves! The home was stunningly beautiful in location and decor. Beautiful artwork. Daves is located a short distance from Eureka Springs so just a short drive away from shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend staying at Daves!
We had a long weekend at Dave’s Place to celebrate an important birthday. We enjoyed having a spacious kitchen which opens into a large seating and dining area. The best part was viewing the magical sunset and boats on Table Rock Lake! Look forward to our next visit!

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Dave's! Looking forward to your next visit!!!
Dave’s Eureka deliver once again and creates a very memorable vacation for the Corvette Group “The Usual Suspects”. We have stayed here now several years and it never disappoints. We had a great time and fantastic weather! This rental is highly recommended. Although our week stay was a “Corvette parking only” location, that made our stay even that much better. Thank you Susan and Chuck for making our stay awesome as always. See you guys next year!!!!
We had a wonderful time at Dave’s! The sunsets were spectacular with that amazing view of Tablerock lake. Everything was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the decor and awesome art. The only trouble we had was opening the freezer drawer. It was one amazing vacation and it was so nice to get away from city life, computers and tv. Thanks for everything
Several friends getting together for some fun and Eureka time. The trip into Eureka Springs is an easy drive. (And if you go, do drive to Beaver to experience the "The Little Golden Gate Bridge too). The views from the two decks were incredible as the pictures indicate. The house well-stocked, lovely, and again the pictures are accurate. The "house" book was very detailed and the owners have a wonderful sense of humor. A note for those with knee issues - the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms (there were 3 of us instead of the original 4 so we didn't use the futon/den bed) are steep. We made it but were thoughtful about just "running" up to get something ;-) We would definitely go back again.
We stayed at the home in June of 2022. The rental was as advertised with an artistic flair down to the paint on the walls and the light fixtures. We used the rental as a base for exploring the Ozarks and for a few shows in Branson. It was a good place to get out of the hustle and bustle but still be close to a grocery store and the restaurants in Eureka Springs. The only challenges of the property are the technology with the only TV off in a small room away from the home center and the Internet which works but is at times glacial. The owners were easy to work with and the VRBO was well equipped.

Hi Michael, thanks for choosing to stay at Dave’s and for your review. I’m sorry the internet service is so slow; it’s the best available in the area, and we’re always on the lookout for an improved service. As for the tv; that’s a personal preference, as when we stay at dave’s we like to escape the television to watch sunsets, play games and have good conversation. Also, The t.v is in a cart that can be rolled into the living room! We’re glad you enjoyed exploring the beautiful surrounding areas and have a great rest of your summer!
Dave's Eureka is a beautiful home on the bluffs overlooking Table Rock Lake but, more importantly, it is a joyouse memorial of a life well lived by a much beloved Dave. His art and family pictures adorn the walls and it all speaks of how much he was loved and celebrated. The home was like a warm, comfortable friendship and provided our family from around the US with a place of peace, laughter, and beauty. I think Dave would approve mightily. Thank you for the opportunity to spend the time at this beautiful spot. Stephen and Marcia Reynolds (Los Angeles), David and Molly St. Louis (West Orange, NJ) and Debbie Beattie, Paultette Reynolds (Tulsa, OK)
We had a group of 5 adults staying in town to visit a local friend. This was a perfect landing pad for all our exploration.
The location was central for our outings - pontoon day from Holiday Island on Table Rock Lake, mountain biking in Bentonville and Eureka Springs, Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, and eating and shopping in Eureka Springs.
The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, dishes, and cookware for our shared meals. The layout of the house allowed for a lot of social time in the common area while the bedrooms afforded us down time for some of the less extroverted in the group.
There is no access to the lake from the property (very common in this area due to the type of lake), but the house is a 3-minute drive to the beach and boat launch.
The only hiccup was a technical issue with the VRBO check-in procedure email not being received prior to arrival, but the host was quick to respond when we needed access to the property. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and to communicate with us as needed while we were there.
This was our second visit to Dave’s Eureka, and it now feels like a second home. Dave’s is not a typical vacation rental. It’s a beloved home filled with family treasures and wonderful memories, and it is evident from the moment you walk through the door that this is a special place. The owners, Susan & Chuck now feel like friends, and are extremely accessible and attentive, should you need anything at all during your stay. The warm, inviting decor makes you feel instantly at ease as you walk through the house to the wall of windows that showcase the beautiful views of Table Rock Lake. Outside, the expansive double deck has plenty of room to entertain your friends and family, or just cozy up in a nice chair and read a book or take an afternoon nap. It’s the perfect place to grab a bottle of wine in the evening and watch the colorful sunsets that are amazingly different each night.
After the sun goes down, we enjoy curling up and watching a movie from the great selection of dvds. If you have kids, you will want to bring their own movies.
The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need, including a wine fridge. Due to COVID-19 we did not do a lot of eating out and instead headed into to Eureka Springs to make a quick grocery run. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make a gourmet meal and with the amazing views, would be a joy to cook in, but we are not cooks, especially on vacation! There are no shortages of choices for takeout in the area. If you like barbecue, do try Sauced in Eureka Springs.
The upstairs master bedroom is a little slice of heaven. It is a joy waking up to the beautiful sunrises over the lake from the wall of windows across from the king size bed. There is a very generous private deck, and plenty of furniture for lounging. The private master bathroom has a jetted garden tub, perfect for relaxing, a shower, and a double vanity.
There are two other bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, which works well if you are sharing the house with friends or family. During our first visit, we brought my husband’s cousin & wife, and we all felt we had plenty of room.
In summary, this a wonderful place to stay. Dave’s is a hidden gem. It’s very clean and well cared for, in a great location, within 20 minutes to Eureka Springs and about an hour Branson. There are plenty of activities in the area to keep you busy, if that’s what you enjoy, and it’s a lovely place to relax if you are content at home.

Stephanie, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. It felt so nice for the details to be recognized, and it says a lot about you for recognizing them! Chuck and I love creating atmospheres with personality, and in this case, that captures the spirit of my late Uncle Dave! We have so many more ideas to execute, and for you to discover, as we continue on with Dave's Eureka, so please keep coming! Sending so much love and gratitude back to you, dear friend! Sincerely, Susan and Chuck
We had a very nice stay at Dave’s Eureka. We stayed 4 nights with a wedding reception on the third night. It was spacious and picturesque with a grand view of the lake. The ambiance was well suited for a wedding reception and the kitchen was well stocked for entertaining.
If you want a fantastic place to getaway and have yourself a true vacation then this is your spot. Dave’s Eureka is just awesome and I won’t be staying anywhere else while is Eureka Springs. This place is charming, scenic and very relaxing. Susan and Chuck are very responsive and are always accommodating. Thank you guys for another great year!! We will be back next year again! Thanks ❤️

About the host
Hosted by Susan Moffett Barrick
We are Chuck Barrick and Susan Moffett, currently residing in Long Beach, California. Both of us have imaginations to infinity and are skilled in ways that allow us to put our dreams into action. Susan is a professional garden/landscape designer and equally as enthusiastic about interiors. While Chuck's "desk job" has him piddling around on computers helping folks go paperless, he spends a majority of his free-time adjusting and implementing his and Susan's ideas to perfection! While Susan paints, makes curtains and works in the garden, Chuck is usually building something, plumb and level. Together we are quite the power duo when it comes to creating magical atmospheric spaces for others to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
It was love at first sight when our Uncle Dave first spotted this house up on the bluff while crossing the I-86 bridge over Table Rock Lake back in 2003. Although he couldn't imagine leaving his loft in downtown Eureka Springs, Arkansas his favorite place in the whole world, he still wanted to call this house his own and so he bought it. He never moved in, but he was very proud of his house, making sure to have a fresh flag waving above it at all times, and perpetually remodeling it to perfection. During our biannual visits, Uncle Dave always took us on a drive to the house and we'd marvel at the sunset together from the balcony. So when Uncle Dave passed away three years ago and left us his dream house, the inception of "Dave's Eureka" began in our hearts and imaginations.
What makes this property unique
Uncle Dave was quite the collector; three storage units filled with stained glass, Victorian furniture, prints, photographs, paintings, pottery, bronze sculptures, and historical collectibles from Kansas City (his home town) to Eureka Springs and the roads between. We couldn't keep it all, but layer by layer we went through it and kept those we felt were most special. As we brought them to the house, there seemed to be a predestined wall or nook for each of the pieces we chose to keep and during this process Dave's Eureka was conceived! Among the artists displayed in Dave's Eureka are bronze sculpture Mark Hopkins, glass sculpture Ed Pennebaker, and painters Raymer, James Yale, G. Duncan, William Steiner, W. Farris, Larry Mansker and Julie Kahn Valentine, most of which are local artists of northeast Arkansas.
