NEW - Enjoy access to Medina Lake through SUNSET RESORT ($) - located 📍5 mins from the ranch - along with all of the resort amenities, which include a NEW CONCRETE boat 🛥️ launch, pickleball and sand volleyball 🏐 courts, corn hole, onsite kayak and paddle board rentals and more! Check their website for events and offerings! A peaceful getaway on the edge of the Hill Country near Medina Lake. Enjoy the rugged Hill Country terrain to hike or explore on foot during the day & in the evening enjoy a campfire or the view of the bright stars from the dark night sky! Our log house has everything you will need except groceries! We have a fully stocked kitchen along with some spices & coffee. Need more room? We offer a second studio style cabin for 4 more guests next door.
The space
Enjoy the entire log cabin during your stay! 2 bedrooms (1 king & 1 queen, both with memory foam toppers and extra pillows) with a full bathroom (tub/shower combo), full kitchen (full-size fridge/freezer combo...no ice maker, 4 burner stove with oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker...no dishwasher) and laundry room (please provide your own laundry soap). All linens and towels are provided as well as plenty of shampoo/conditioner and body wash. The front porch faces the fire pit (firewood provided) with a table and chairs and a bench. Our back porch has a BBQ grill (please bring your own charcoal), patio table with seating for 6 and views for miles! Outside you can also enjoy a game of cornhole or horseshoes. Pets are welcome, we just ask that you pick up after them outside and keep them off the furniture. This house has high speed internet as well as Dish network in the living room with the king bedroom having a smart tv.
Guest access:
Enjoy over 4 acres of hiking and exploring on foot! We are located off of a paved County road, but our driveway is approximately a 1/4 mile -1/2 mile of a well maintained rock road and hills that leads to quietness! We are located behind an automatic gate. Our log house is self check in and accessible with a door code.
Other things to note: No smoking or parties/unregistered guests allowed, no hunting or shooting of firearms, and no UTV/ATV’s. A nice get away

Great experience at this property, just started Christmas break and decided last minute to try to get away from everything. Easy booking, check in was great as it was self check in. Kind of a introvert outside of work so that was nice, cabin was located on a private ranch and so access was limited to others so got the privacy we where looking for. Cabin exceeded expectations was a great layout and location. Have already recommended to a friend.

Great place on pictures, but better in person.

Sarah was great and the place even better. I agree with a lot of the reviews, the views are beautiful, the place is quiet and you can truly disconnect from everything else. Our kids had a great time playing with the games, the little one couldn’t stop talking about the longhorn roaming near by. We will definitely come back!!

Texas Holidays

We rented this beautiful log cabin in Mico and we were delighted with it. The property is more beautiful than it looks in the photos, and everything was clean and well-maintained. Communication with Sarah was easy and both arrival and departure went smoothly. I would say that as far as the cabin and the surrounding property, it was perfect. We were a little disappointed in the general area, though, as we had hoped to do more hiking, walking, and exploring. Most of the areas around are off limits and if you don't want to drive a half-hour to a park, you have to stick pretty much to the main road or one path that takes you along a fence. We did find a winery in town that was a highlight, and La Cabana Cafe was really great. One more thing: As far as COVID, the folks in the area are quite relaxed about the pandemic (I'm being generous) and so if you are not, you'll need to be diligent with masking if you venture out to shops and restaurants.

Perfect Getaway

Great cabin

Beautiful roomy cabin. Fit ours needs for a family of five, and a dog. My brother’s family of 4 stayed at the other smaller cabin that is just a walk over next door. I would love to rent both places again in the future, even after getting stung by my first scorpion!! We all have to remember we are in scorpion territory - I walked barefoot on the back patio at night - this was a hard lesson learned. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay!
