Beautiful, historic, (original cottage built in 1900) roomy and charming Lavallette expanded cottage steps to ocean and bay beaches! An appealing, lighted pergola is ready for you in the private, very large side yard for shade and outdoor dining! This great family home has everything you need. Leave your car parked for the week and walk to everything. Restaurants, liquor stores, clothing stores, deli's ...... Parking area fits at least 7 cars--a rarity in this town! Inside are 6 bedrooms and 3 newer, full baths. Central air and central heat! Cozy heated electric fireplace for those chilly evenings! The outdoor shower is heavenly after a day on the beach or kayaking on the bay. Newer mattresses in the bedrooms with comfortable, homey touches. Beach chairs, kayaks, beach buggies and all of the beach toys you need are at the house. The bay is 1 minute away and has a playground and full time lifeguards during season. The cottage is wonderfully furnished and comfortable. Huge private, fenced in outdoor area with large table for your entire family. .... convenient to wet bar, full bath and large ground level entertainment area with sectional couch and 60 inch tv. New trex front porch for your morning coffee and evening cocktails.... . Full propane tanks and charcoal grills for your epic cookouts! 2 'smart' flatscreen tv's with Roku for your enjoyment. 6 adult beach badges and 2 senior badges included! Children 12 and under do not need badges. This house has 3 levels.....ground, main and 2d. Lots and lots of privacy for the entire family. Sunsets? Grab your cocktail and head to the bay to experience the beauty! Too many items to list! The beaches are wide and the sand is soft. Lavallette is a safe, old fashioned beach town. Off season, 4 nights or longer will be considered. Linens can be rented for an extra charge through a local linen supply. Mattress covers, pillow covers and comforters are supplied., but feel free to bring your own! Families and extended family only. Sorry, no graduation getaways or proms. Family reunion anyone?? There is a very active pickleball/tennis community just a short walk away, so bring your paddles!! New shuffle ball courts and brand new basketball courts right there in the sports complex. We had a wonderful family vacation. It was great to be close to the bay to enjoy fishing, crabbing, and swimming but also a couple of blocks to the ocean to enjoy the beach!

Amazing Family Vacation!

This home is lovely, has all you need for a fabulous family vacation, including the location. Maureen was a great host - very responsive and willing to help in any way. the home is conducive to group dinners/game playing, and also has space for everyone to chill and relax without being on top of each other. We're already looking forward to next year!

We had a great time here!

Maureen is a wonderful host, she was so responsive and attentive, texting us to make sure everything was going well. Her home is very well appointed with everything you could need for the beach. She has a beautiful outdoor space which is fenced in, perfect for my little grandchildren. The location is perfect, close to the beach, bay, playground and the local stores. We had a wonderful time, thanks Maureen!

Great property!

We stayed for Memorial Day weekend with another family. The house was a great size and had enough rooms for everyone to sleep. The outdoor area was spacious and basement was great addition! Maureen was a great property manager and very responsive to messages. She checked in and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay! Would definitely recommend!

We stayed for the MDW and had such a great time! A perfect cottage for friends and coworkers and a great location. 10 minute walk from the beach, grocery store around the corner and away from all the craziness of Belmar/Spring Lake! Maureen was great to communicate with and responded super quickly. No complaints from our end! We will definitely be renting again!

Nice Place in Quiet Lavallette

Very nice house with everything you need. The big backyard was great for bbqs and playing with the kiddos. Very close to the bay and about a 8 minute walk to the beach. Striking distance to Seaside and Point Pleasant for boardwalk fun. The bedroom set up was great for an extended family trip with plenty of space. The one downside was no bedroom on the level with all the bedrooms. The host was great and checked in several times. Overall an awesome stay! Thank you to Maureen for the kind hospitality.

Our first time vacationing in Lavallette

This was our first time vacationing in Lavallette. The house was spotless and well managed by Maureen, who was available and responsive to all our questions. The bathrooms are newly updated, and the outdoor shower was great. The house is located 4 blocks from the beach, and one block from the bay. The outdoor space was very nice and we had most of our breakfasts and dinner under the canopied awning, which was lovely. The air-conditioned house was blissfully cool on an extremely hot week. The laundry/dryer and walkout basement were a welcome feature of the house. Beach badges and chairs were also a plus. Very good week!

Great Family Week

We returned to Lavallette to celebrate with family after many years - Maureen's home allowed us to be together, room to eat together, sleep under the same roof, and enjoy each others company in the large outdoor space. Four showers allowed us to get ready quickly to visit with other family in Lavallette. The location was perfect, our cars rarely left the yard. Perfect week in Lavallette!!

Great week in Lavallette

We had a great week with our family. The house had plenty of space for our family of 8. Lots of beach/sand toys for the little ones. Great location to the town’s boat ramp to use our small boat for crabbing. Good location for access to the bay and the beach. The owner, Maureen, was flexible and made the process of renting easy. Everyone enjoyed the large space on the lower level and we loved the large table for our traditional family vacation 20000 piece puzzle.

Wonderful home for family vacation

This home description is VERY accurate . All the amenities listed ( including beach toys and kayaks, etc) were accurate. The kids ages 3-7 took over the tv on the ground level and played safely in the enclosed yard. The outside pergola had a table to fit all 10 of us. Everything was In good working order. It is a three block walk to the beach but worth it because of what all his property offers . We all had a wonderful week.

Lovely home

What a wonderful house! It had a lovely decor and it was so spacious and very clean. The owner was so kind and easy to communicate with. Our teenage children enjoyed hanging out on the lower level. We walked into town, played basketball, kayaked and went to the beach. The backyard so big and was a great place to hang out at night. Lavallette is a real nice family town. We loved it! Overall great location - walking distance to the bay and the ocean. Great big house - 4 bedrooms upstairs - great for kids. 2 on main level - great for adults. Basement and great outdoor area to hang out at night. 2 kayaks and all the beach items you need. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

Spacious and beachy with amenities galore!

This house is a gem! My family has rented many houses over the years in Lavallette and this one is at the top! The proximity to the Bay was perfect. We typically rented on the ocean block but this location with its great parking and sunsets made us switch! The variety of common areas makes this house very spacious and comfortable for a big group. Having 2 TV areas was perfect for having little kids around. The basement has a heavy-duty plastic picnic table & huge TV that was perfect for the kids to do crafts, etc. The outside space was unbelievable, with a huge table to fit everyone and all the extra chairs you could need. The amenities really make this place a vacation home vs the typical rental in Lavallette: multiple grills & tools, beach toys/ chairs, beach badges (!), kayaks, and a pristine clean house with homey details. Maureen was super responsive to any questions we had which was so nice! We will definitely rent here again.

Our family vacation/reunion was enhanced by the quality of Maureen's beach house. Beds were comfortable with good linens; kitchen well furnished; great deck and grill with over-sized umbrella; everything you would need for the beach was available. Jersey Shore Vacation at The Cottage in Lavalette

We had a wonderful vacation. The Cottage is in a great location with a short walk to beach, bay and stores and restaurants. The house itself was clean, spacious and well equipped. The outdoor space was great for a large family dining. Communication was easy with the property owner or manager. Lavalette is a family friendly, old-fashioned beach town and we loved being there. My family had a fantastic time.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with the charm of the house and the location of this property. It is private and quiet, yet close to everything! Park your car and forget about it! Walk to everything. Downtown to the Iconic Crabs Claw Restaurant, deli's, ice cream shops liquor stores and the Ben Franklin. Grab the buggy and head to the beach. The most beautiful sunsets are just steps away at the bay beach and playground.

What makes this property unique

This original home was built in 1900. The original "cottage" section of the home was a 2 bedroom with no electricity and a pot bellied stove for cooking and heat! It oozes with charm. The unique, private and very large side yard with shade pergola, plus huge parking area make this home perfect for family gatherings!
