About this property
The Ranch House Retreat
The Ranch House is a large and spacious cowboys retreat. Decorated with authentic western saddles and tack along with hand-made rustic furniture. The house has a wrap around porch, a large lawn, and mature shade trees. Three large bedrooms, all with their own bathroom and plenty of nooks and crannies for the kids to play in. The Ranch House is nestled in Scenic Southern Utah, located between Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and The Grand Canyon.
The Ranch House is large and spacious with 3 master bedrooms (first bedroom is located on the main floor, second and third bedrooms are located on the second floor), kitchen and common areas, for a relaxing stay after a long day at the parks or just to enjoy the quiet beauty of Alton. There are a lot of places for kids to play throughout the house. There is a 50-inch TV and Blu-ray in the basement to watch movies or your favorite streaming service. A large lawn for the kids to play on. A washer and dryer conviently located on the main floor.
Guests have full access to the house and the yard inside the picket fence.
We live next door to the Ranch House and are available by phone, text, or email. If any issues arise during your stay, please contact us. We are more than happy to resolve the issue!
The Ranch House is located in a unique neighborhood, with old barns and a history strong in agriculture, with many of the barns still being used today. The streets of Alton are lined with large beautiful pine trees and cottonwood trees.
The best way to get around is by horseback, but if that isn't an option, driving, walking, and biking are great alternatives.
The Ranch House Retreat is approximately 52 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park, 42 minutes from Zion National Park, 2.5 hours to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and 5 hours to Lake Powell.
Being a small out of the way town we don't have any conviencies. We recommend that you bring your groceries with you.

About the host
Hosted by Carrie Heaton
We are a ranching family. We enjoy riding horses, raising cows, goats, chickens and kids! We have lived in Alton for 10 years and love how quiet and rural it is.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property because it is next to our other properties. It has been a labor of love since purchasing it. We have put in a lot of work to make this property what it is today. My husband made the light fixtures in the kitchen and dinning room and the tables in the living room and two bedrooms. He and his brother also made the cabinets in the kitchen and the vanities in the bathrooms.
