We enjoyed our stay in this property very much. We weren't sure after Helene if we would be able to go. The owners were wonderful and communicated with us after the storm keeping us up to date on what was happening on Asheville.
We are very glad we went. The house is well appointed and comfortable. We loved all the directions to let us know how to use things.
Asheville is coming back. We went to the Biltmore which was outstanding and some of the breweries in town. Still a lot of work to be down but go and support them!!!
We had such a nice time staying at this house while we visited downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. It was a short drive to both locations. The house was very homey and comfortable.
My dogs would rate this place a TEN bc of the yard.
Positives: the house is centrally located to town and the Biltmore. There is a trail head connector just a few hundred feet from the house that connects quickly to the Mountain to Sea trail, the longest trail in NC. Lovely hike!
Negatives: the view in the photographs is WINTER ONLY. I had visions of sitting on the deck sipping wine gazing at the mountains. NO. Heavy woods only. The living room faces the front of the house so the resting view is of the road and the neighbor's very loud truck going back and forth. The neighborhood is hipster scruffy, no offense to hipsters. Next door neighbors were nice but their back yard is a junkyard with uncut grass and the front yard is where they hang their laundry. Road noise from the Blue Ridge Parkway is louder than expected. The Internet is slow. The guest bedroom bed squeaked so badly my friend had to sleep on a twin bed in the third bedroom. Kitchen cooking gear (pots, pans, etc) was so old as to be gross. Kitchen ventilation while cooking does not work and I almost cut off my fingers opening the window over the sink bc it is broken and doesn't stay open. Sheets were old and mismatched, towels old. I could go on. I don't get all the rave reviews- I guess different standards for different folks. We left a day early and stayed in a hotel. I gave it 3 stars bc of the location, the yard for our dogs and the price per night, also the host was nice,

Me and my family stayed at the Pink House on Floyd for our 5 day retreat and it was a perfect fit for any family with similar needs. The backyard was fully fenced without gaps and it was a large backyard that our dogs enjoyed running around in and threw tennis balls in. Having the our dogs with us this vacation instead of checking them into a kennel was a sigh of relief. We brought a collapsible metal kennel for our dogs at night because they are young and need to be supervised butAnytime we wanted the pets on the couch we would cover the couch and it was home like. Truly a wonderful rental, would stay here again
Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. All necessities provided and we enjoyed the hot tub every night. Less than 10 min from all downtown things and 30 min from Catawba Falls.
Traveled to Asheville for a family event with my adult son and my younger twins, and two dogs.
The house was spotless, welcoming and so comfortable. The back yard is large, fenced and in the deck was perfect for relaxing and watching the fireflies at dusk.
The beds were extra comfortable as was the living room furniture. There was nothing I needed to purchase in order to cook the food we bought as the kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils and needs.
There is not one thing I would change or ask for. Leland was extremely kind and extended us a day when I asked. He responded quickly when I had to message.
With kids and dogs and coming back in the evening exhausted, I could NOT have asked for more! Highly recommend and very grateful to have found this home.
Thanks so much!!
We loved the Pink House; close to everything, quiet, lovely neighbors (especially Calliope). One small challenge when we arrived and Mike handled it quickly & efficiently! We were very comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommend.
Comfortable and cozy. Owner was helpful and communicated well. We enjoyed the location and great fenced yard for a pup! Well stocked kitchen and plenty of clean towels. Super convenient to the Biltmore and downtown - short drives. Would definitely stay there again.
Property was as listed. Easy roads and great stay.
Property managers very communicative.
Extremely convenient location to everything Asheville has to offer.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and seems to be centrally located to many different Sightseeing locations that are around the Asheville area such as, Hendersonville, Biltmore, hiking, waterfalls, and plenty of restaurants and shopping. There was plenty of space and bedrooms, the kitchen was well stocked with items for cooking. However, some new frying pans would be a great addition. We enjoyed the hot tub, but if you want it to be at maximum temperature you need to give it about an hour to heat up. The owner was very communicative and quick with a reply when we had any questions. Although we did not have a pet or very young children, the backyard and deck area would be a great place to run around and enjoying the outdoors.
We enjoyed this home. It offered the perfect location for our trip to the Biltmore. Only a few miles away and a great place to relax in the evenings. We will definitely be back!
The house very clean and just like the photos. We had no issues at all and enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very helpful with any questions we had and responded quickly.
