Remodeled in 2019, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1800 sq ft property in Encinitas is the perfect beach hangout for your large group! Located 1 mile from the ocean, this upstairs unit has a wonderful view of the water and sunset from both the main living area and the large deck. The large dining area is appropriate for eating food that you bring in from one of the nearby restaurants or meals that you make in the large kitchen, which has all new stainless steel appliances. When it is time to clean up after a day at highly rated Moonlight Beach, you will find beautiful bathrooms that have been extensively remodeled. When relaxing in the evening, there is a 70" TV to enjoy a streaming device that you choose to bring. The fast wifi allows you and your guests to quickly post any surfing videos from close by and well known Swami's beach or simply catch up on shows you have been meaning to watch. There is off street parking and easy freeway access if you decide to visit downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp Quarter, 25 miles away. Interested in Legoland? 10 miles away. Into Pickleball? Bobby Riggs Racket and Paddle is less than a mile away.

There are beds for 7 people and open floorspace in the bedrooms if needed. The large deck features patio furniture for relaxing and a roof that can be either open to the sun or closed to use as an extension of the inside living space. Nice stay, front room has a lovely picture window, lots of windows so breezes cool off the house nicely. To note, there is a long staircase going up to second floor unit and there is someone below you. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect place to stay for our son’s wedding weekend. Great location with easy access to everything…..beach, downtown, trails for walking/running. Clean and kitchen well-stocked. Lovely views and patio too! Would recommend and definitely hoping to return!

Home is very spacious and comfortable. The location is close to everything from shopping to beaches to eating to the freeway!Joe proactively communicated with me on a situation which I found so refreshing and fabulous.Kitchen was well stocked. And there was parking provided as well!

Short trip

We were only there for weekend, but the house was exactly as advertised and a short walk to the beach! It was very nice to be able to walk on the beach each morning. The house was great for our group of 5 and I would stay again.

Quiet and Comfortable!

We stayed for five days and we were very comfortable. Both the house itself and the neighborhood were quiet, and the off-street parking was so nice. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean in the evenings, the close proximity to the freeway, and the quick and easy access to the beaches and charming downtown area!

Excellent space

Our stay was lovely. Cute one story home on second floor. All the linen smelled very clean and fresh. Very spacious. It is older than what it seems in the pics but that’s ok. Joe was a great host, made everything super easy for us. He even let us check in early on day of arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

I am one of 7 siblings that grew up using this property as a vacation home. I currently live in Northern California and work in the tech industry.

Why they chose this property

I was lucky enough to have two parents who bought this property in the 1960s. I grew up vacationing in Encinitas and decided to purchase this unit to keep it in the family when my parents passed away. It is a legacy to their focus on family and continues to be used for family gatherings. I did extensive remodeling in 2019 and furnished it to make it comfortable for guests to enjoy as a short term rental.

What makes this property unique

The upstairs unit is part of a duplex and has a wonderful view of the water.
