Really great stay in the heart of wine country. Hosts were very responsive, property was clean and organized, and Ektimo Winery is just steps from the front door. 5 stars, would stay again in a heartbeat!
Our family enjoyed staying at this working vineyard house. Plenty of room and beds were comfortable. House could use a little updating but nothing was non functional. Our 13 and 9 year old boys loved feeding the goats right next to the property.
Plenty of space for our friends & family group of 6. We appreciated the stocked kitchen with a few food and pantry items, especially coffee. Trail close by was great for walking & running. The winery tasting was nice, but not the best wine of our trip. Lots of RVs on the property and in the parking lot. The heat didn’t seem to work. We didn’t ask for help with it so it was probably user error, but it got pretty cold in the house at night. Overall good experience &,would stay here again!
We were a party of six that needed a place close to Santa Rosa for a farm to table dinner. This was a perfect location. Easy for Uber to pickup and return us. The winery tour on the property was excellent. Would definitely consider it again.
Electrical seems to need an upgrade. Breakers blew easily and some lights/light switches did not work. It was pretty chilly inside. Living room/dining area could have used an extra electric heater since there was no central heat.

Great little (not so little) spot to escape for the weekend or to gather the whole family and friends. The main table made of one large tree was prefect to spread the offering. Probably can fit 20+ around it.
This is the second time we've stayed at the Winery rental and we love it. There are four of us attending a sewing retreat nearby and this home is located perfectly, close-by to our retreat conference room.
We love the fully-equipped kitchen as we take turns cooking each night and then sitting in the living room area to relax. There's a walking path near-by that's perfect for a refreshing stroll through the area as well.
A repeat stay should be enough to let you know how much we like the property.
Four of us were in town for a wedding and enjoyed everything the property had to offer. The house was laid out really well , allowing plenty of space and privacy for us (2 couples) - but would also easily accommodate more people. In fact, we are already thinking about future dates to revisit the house with family. We also loved the grounds (goats, llamas and rooster were great to see and hear). The staff at the adjoining tasting room (Ektimo) were great - and the wine was delicious! We were even surprised by a very nice delivery of some organic tomatoes by the property owners. We would definitely recommend staying here, and like I said, are planning on returning.

Perfect if your goal is to gather 'round an amazing table
This property was perfect for our stay because we had a mini-family reunion and our goal was to sit around the table and visit. For that, it worked well. There is a beautiful raw wood slab table that is enormous and is fun to eat and visit at. That said, there was a huge mud pit outside the kitchen window about which we were not given prior notice. It didn't hamper our stay, but I think future guests should know. The entire house was very clean, but not fancy...not what you would expect for a Sonoma County wine country experience.
we enjoyed much about the property... the bedrooms, the kitchen, the common areas were mostly good. a minor annoyance was the lack of closets in two of the bedrooms.
the biggest complaint was the strong chemical smells from cleaning products. the living room had a overwhelming fragrance that smelled like it was embedded in the curtains. the laundry room was full of cleaning products and the smell was so overpowering we had to keep the door shut the entire time and even then it leaked out. One family member was unable to stay due to the odors.
Cool location, on a winery, on the bike path, has farm animals right out in the backyard, very spacious house and is beautifully quiet.
Those are the positives. The photos of the outdoor space are very misleading. The grass and weeds were so high we couldn't use it, and the outdoor furniture was rotting. There were random tools, broken bikes, and 4-wheelers sitting outside. We booked this place because we were traveling with kids who love to play outside, and it wasn't really an option.
The house was clean at first glance, but there were lots of bugs/spiders and cobwebs throughout. The house had a smell as if it were just wiped down with a wet rag rather than using any cleaning products. I know this wasn't the most expensive place to rent, but it just could have been better.
If you are seeking luxury accommodations, keep searching.... Otherwise, you've found the best spot possible! It was clean and spacious (both inside and outside) with all the amenities we needed. We had 6 ladies for a kid-free bachelorette weekend and it was great to have so much space to get ready and chill out. The THREE bathrooms and TWO King beds are what sold us on this listing, an excellent layout for an adult weekend getaway. The beautiful scenery and walking trails were a huge plus!
The host had a thinly stocked kitchen (literally only 6 wine glasses at a winery? And, the coffee maker is only an 8-cup! We had to make 3 pots each morning, ha!), but we found ample tools & dishes to prepare meals. We did have to run the dishwasher after EACH meal due to so few measuring cups & utensils. They also had a generously stocked laundry room - we were able to borrow a cooler, a steamer, and had full laundry available.
Bedding was all very comfortable and Jerry was at the house within seconds the two times we needed something. He does live on site, so it was a little awkward knowing he could be just outside our windows caring for the animals - but he was very respectful and we never felt uncomfortable.
I would 100% stay here again. Thanks for a great experience!
We’ve stayed here twice. It’s a beautiful home inside and charming country feel with farm animals and trails to walk. Wine tasting with Julius at Ektimo was really wonderful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars overall was due to the crazy price this year compared to last and the first bedroom where I slept, the mattress is on its last legs and needs to be replaced (I slept horribly😞) we love this property and the surrounding countryside
2 king ensuites were great and hard to find. Everything we needed was there. Liked having goats and lamas next door!
Outdoor area could be better - lawn furniture, flowers, etc
Had a great time at the property with another couple that we travel with frequently. There was plenty of room to spread out in the home and had a kitchen equipped with all we needed. We loved all the animals onsite and say "hello" to them each morning before leaving for our day of tasting. The property seemed so far away in the country, but in actuality it was so close to everything. Loved our stay!!
