We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property. The house, the grounds, are gorgeous. Located in excellent spot, close to everything. My only recommendation would be to swap the beds. The metal frame in the bedroom is noisy, and uncomfortable to sleep on. The larger bed in the other bedroom is much more comfortable, however, located in a very unusual spot, making sleeping in either bedroom a little challenging.
Host was fabulous and kind. Place was a true nature retreat with all the comfortable amenities. Loved the redwood setting, deck and garden and inside was quite comfortable! Thank you!
This place was great. Woodsy, 70s California vibes tucked away on a hill in the redwoods, close to the town of Guerneville (and downtown Forestville). There were several skylights in the cabin, which helped illuminate the place with gorgeous natural light. Very clean, remodeled bathrooms that make you feel like you’re in a treehouse. Cozy wood-paneled bedrooms with very comfortable beds. I really enjoyed sleeping there under the skylight on a rainy night. The kitchen was very well-equipped. Thank you for having a regular coffee maker, not a keurig. The expansive porch with hot tub was also great. This place had character and didn’t feel like one of those soulless rental-only places. I plan to come again!Love this whole area.
What a great place to stay! A very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and common areas, an amazing deck and outdoor space, and all around adorable cabin. The owner was extremely kind, friendly, attentive, and thoughtful - offering recommendations and answering questions before and during our stay. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town!
Enjoyable well kept place. Weather was not great to enjoy the deck but would have. Good location to enjoy Russian River wine country while staying in a peaceful place. Highly recommend.
We loved our stay here and would not hesitate to book again. It had everything we needed to cook meals for our family, was a fantastic environment, and the hot tub was magical.
This was an excellent place to stay for a relaxing vacation near Healdsburg. The house has lots of charm and the deck was amazing. The host stayed in touch throughout the entire process. The bed was nice and firm. The kitchen was well equipped. Both bathrooms looked like they had been recently updated. Hopefully someday we will have a chance to visit again.
Loved our stay here, and would recommend it to anyone! I hope to come back real soon.

About the host

We live and work in San Francisco and love coming up to Sonoma to get the best of California. The food, the trees, the wine, the River. It might only be 60 miles away from the City but it feels like a different world when we are up there.
Why they chose this property
I loved the place from the moment I stepped foot inside the gate. The redwoods coming though the deck, the privacy, the old school redwood funkiness of it all. We spent 7 months remodeling to make the place shine and have contented to make it better every year.. I truly love the space and hope you do too.
What makes this property unique
Not far at all from River Road and Mothers Beach but far removed from it all. This is a great place to relax and reconnect. There is a very open floor plan with the living room, dining room kitchen and deck all connected. The bedrooms are tucked in the back off a more private deck.
There are great wineries, breweries, fine dining and hole in the walls that serve great food in every direction.
My favorite thing to do on a hot summer day is to stash a car downstream and walk to the beach and float the day away.
