This place was even better than the pictures! It was absolutely PERFECT. Yes, it is about 90% outdoors, and that is exactly why I enjoyed it so much. The beautiful Puerto Rican breeze felt so wonderful blowing throughout the property. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed. It even had an air fryer. The bathroom and the bedroom are enclosed. The outdoor shower feels amazing! As does the hot tub. There is even a starfruit tree right next to the property. As if this place needed any extra charms!

Host was very responsive and very nice. Not quite what we expected it. Surprised, the only room that was indoor was the bedroom. Hot tub didnt get hot. Air conditioner in the one room was good. Housekeeping showed up unannounced and we weren't there to drop off a pot 3 days into our stay. Front gate lock broke mid stay so our stuff was out in the openAll and all it wasnt a horrible stay. It should have a better description so that renter know its 90% outdoor.

Thank you for your review and I do apologize for housekeeping showing up when guest weren’t present. I did made sure that the guest were aware through my message I sent via VRBO so it can show on record for everyone to know and it was only to drop off a new frying pan the last one got damaged and it was not reported to me on time, I do apologize if it made you upset or concerned overall all my guest are in good hands when staying in my place. Lock from gate did get damaged but it is now fixed and I was never notified about the hot tub as I would have immediately had that checked out and working for you in no time just reach out to me and I will respond but you never mentioned of it. As for the place being outdoor it is stated on my description of the space as well as pictures so that you can see that it’s all outdoors except for the bedroom and full bathroom but the space comes with an amazing ocean/ mountain view for those who like to lounge in a unique, private and tropical atmosphere with a super safe neighborhood right from my home. I am very grateful for your stay Laiza, as you took good care of my place and was very nice and respectful guest for me to have hosted.

Beautiful views!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a few days, and it definitely was the highlight of our trip, we had beautiful sunrise and sunset views while chilling in the hot tub. Jay was really nice and helpful. We were sad we had to leave, but would definitely book again for our next vacation in Pr!

Jays Luquillo home

This was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. This home is very Rustic, almost entirely outside, but exactly What we were hoping for. Jay and his staff were very helpful and responsive to our needs. The area of the home felt safe, was quiet, and very convenient to get on and off PR3.

Enjoyed our stay

This property was exactly what we wanted for our visit to Puerto Rico. Privacy with an amazing outdoor shower and hot tub. Our host was so responsive and helpful with local suggestions. The neighborhood felt very safe. It was very humid during our stay so the air conditioner in the bedroom couldn't keep up, but the big fan really helped. We would definitely stay again, no question!

Great location in Luquillo

I had a chance to explore the island on my own after a work week in San Juan. This is an excellent balance to that - in a nice, suburban neighborhood away from the bustle of the city. Great location near Luquillo (beaches and kiosks), Fajardo, El Yunque, etc. Jay is an excellent host, made sure I had lots of information about the surrounding area. The space is your own outdoor patio with enclosed bedroom - fun space and nice to enjoy the outdoors. I would stay here again.

Beautiful property in a great location. Jay was a kind and communicative host with plenty of local recommendations. Hot tub and outdoor shower are sweet touches. Room stays nice and cool with fan and ac unit. Beach is close, but not walking distance. Prepare to rent a car or take uber to get around!

itty bitty

Know that the bedroom is tiny. Does have AC TV. This place is good for someone that likes the outdoors….because it’s mostly outdoors, upstairs with Mother Nature. Nice fun small Hot Tub. Large cooking area and very private and clean. No problems checking in. We had fun touring, sightseeing and eating at the Kiosks.

What can I say? 🏅

Not going to lie, it’s hard giving this a perfect review because more people are going to find out about one of the most beautiful and relaxing gems in the island of Puerto Rico. Staying here was everything I desire and needed, to be able to relax by yourself in a secluded area but allow you to be free was so good. My host was incredible and gave amazing suggestions. This place is the best I’ve stayed in a very long time. I highly recommend.

Peaceful Retreat Near the Beach and Rainforest

Our stay at Jay’s Home by the Beach and Rainforest Couples Retreat was a wonderful experience. The property is in a perfect location — close to both the beach and beautiful hiking spots in the rainforest. The home itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We did experience a couple of minor issues during our stay: the hot tub was leaking and would drain overnight, and a decorative painting outside had fallen. However, we were very impressed with how quickly everything was handled — both issues were fixed the very next morning while we were out hiking, without any disruption to our plans.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and really appreciated the quick and thoughtful communication from the host. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable escape.

Hope to come back!

I can not tell you how much I loved this place. If you are looking for seclusion, it's here. If you are looking for quietness, it's here. If you are looking for security, it's here. And then in arms reach, there's parties, beaches, shopping, food and convenience right where you need it. The people are helpful, nice and cordial. My property manager was nice, helpful and available when I needed something. I felt safe here, traveling as a single woman. And I hope to come back soon. Thank you!

Outdoor Amazement!

This property is one of the coolest places we have ever stayed at. The outdoor layout is like nothing we've ever seen before. The view from the place is amazing. Shower is outside but very private. You have seating areas, hammocks, even a jacuzzi! The bedroom and toilet area are under cover and protected. We felt safe and had a great time. Our host Jay was very helpful with all kinds of great information as to what to do and where to eat in the area. Thanks Jay! Also, you can't beat the price per night. If you are not picky and need a cool place to sleep and hang out at night after a day full of adventure, this place is for you!Goodplace forrchips two A and adventurous

Unique creative space

I came for a mother-daughter trip. Just as is pictured, a really cool spot the owner has created, an outdoorsy space. It even rained the first day or two and it wasn't that bad, since temps are so enjoyable in PR. If you like camping, you'll love it here. In what I'd say is an average middle class neighborhood, some nice places, some not as nice, but that's average, so don't be a snob :) Jay was so great to work with. He made recommendations right away and was super responsive! He realy takes pride in his rentals. I hope to be back!

A haven for outdoor comforts.

Jays place was so perfect I almost don't want to write this review in fear others will book it when I want to return. Lol All jokes aside Jay was an amazing host that gave us countless restaurant suggestions (the ribs were the highlight of my trip) he also was kind enough to help with any questions or requests we had. The place has a perfect view of the ocean and the rainforest. It was a nice outdoor shower a seperate bathroom and all the comforts you could need in a room. The outdoor living space was so relaxing even in the rain. The best part was a hot tub very well put together with views of the stars yet privacy from others. Inwould recommend Jays spot to anyone that wants to truly live like a local on vacation you'll find everything you need there!

Why they chose this property

A beautiful rustic, quiet, private with an amazing view that blends in with the nature that surrounds my home of both mountains and beach and the outdoor shower along with the hot tub will leave you in such a relaxation as you lounge right under the stars at night as well as the sun rising over our beautiful beaches and mountains early morning. What makes this property unique

I grow fruits out back like Guava, Guanabana, bananas and plantains so that my guest can enjoy what life out in the tropics has to offer straight out of my yard and we have the neighborhood park with outdoor running track an outdoor gym also, we have the delicious Antique bakery right around the corner.
