Great appartment but Vrbo location is inaccurate

Positive points - nice, modern, clean appartment with all amenities you could need, friendly host who was happy to assist where possible. Negative - The Vrbo location is inaccurate. Although the description says it is 1.5km from the port we didnt realise it would be such a hill to climb. The GPS vrbo location shows it as being central but it is beside La Villa Calvi hotel. Its not possible to see this when booking. If we had known we would have stayed elsewhere. The walls are very thin on the appartment so there is a lot of noise throughout the day.

As you point out and as we clearly indicate it, the flat is located on the heights of Calvi, a few meters away from La Villa Calvi Hotel. It is one of the best locations you can possibly find, if you want to avoid crowded places, pollution and noise. It takes me about 12 minutes to walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the port, but I confess that I usually drive (for lack of time), which takes about 2 minutes. The terrace is totally separated from the terrace of the neighbour. Therefore, although you can occasionnally hear my sweet little neighbours, you don't see them. And, most importantly, you cannot hear them at night, because they sleep and because the rental apartment bedroom is located at one end of the house and their bedroom at the other end. Le logement est situé à moins de 5 minutes en voiture de la citadelle de Calvi visible depuis la maison d'où on a pu observer le jolie feu d'artifice du 15 août. Nous avons été bien accueilli. La maison est lumineuse puis la terrasse et le jardin très agréables. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Calvi.

Le logement est agréable, propre et fonctionnel pour une famille de 4. Toutefois , l’adresse indiquée sur le site est inexacte: le logement n’est pas situé à 5 min à pied de la citadelle/centre ville mais à 25 min. Nous avions loué ce logement précisément pour que nos deux pré ados puissent être indépendants pour aller en ville/à la plage , ce qui n’était pas possible.Autre précision: le logement est situé en rez-de-chaussée d’une villa où les propriétaires sont à l étage , et il y a un autre appartement loué en rez de chaussée. L’extérieur que l’on voit sur les photos est à la vue de tous.

Séjour à 4 personnes (dont 2 enfants de 2 et 6 ans).Le logement est facile à trouver avec les indications de Paul.Il y a la place pour garer son véhicule. A noter, logement sur les hauteurs de Calvi donc il faut grimper si on souhaite aller à la plage à pied. Avec notre fils de 2 ans, nous avons pris la voiture. Il y a pas mal de parking aux abords des plages.Paul et Isabelle sont dispo et attentionnés. Ils avaient mis à dispo des livres pour les enfants.

Nous avons passées un excellent séjour chez Paul ! Nous avons été très bien accueilli, avec une belle corbeille de fruits ainsi que des canistrelli. Également très bien conseillées, nous avons pu partager de vrais bons moments avec Paul, son épouse et leurs enfants.Le parking situé dans l'enceinte de la propriété, portail fermé pour la nuit, a été pour nous très sécurisant.Le logement est propre, fonctionnel et plutôt frais en période estivale. La climatisation était nécessaire (période de canicule) et fonctionnait parfaitement.Les voisins étaient très discrets et leurs enfants adorables ! Nous pourrions y retourner sans hésiter !

Hôtes très sympathiques. Logement bien équipé et bonne literie. Coupe de fruits, petits gâteaux et eaux dans le frigo sont un plus pour nous accueillir. Seul petit reproche concernant l'annonce et Abritel ferait bien de changer cela, ce n'est pas 3 mn à pieds du centre ville mais environ 30 mn !

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Der Ausblick auf die Stadt, das Meer und die Zitadelle waren schön. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war sehr gut und sie war sehr hilfreich beim Auffinden der Unterkunft, weil die angegebene Adresse uns in die falsche Straße gelockt hat.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Paul et Isabelle. Le logement était très propres et calmes. Les 2 lits étaient confortables. Le logement est situé à environ 2km du centre ville (à côté de l'hôtel La Villa) ce qui permet d'être au calme sans être loin de la vie de Calvi. Un Super U est à moins de 1 km.Paul et Isabelle sont très accueillants et pleins de bon conseils concernant les lieux à visiter ou à éviter . Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Un charmant appartement au cœur de Calvi chaleureux

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux à Calvi dans cet appartement réservé via Abritel. L’hébergement était parfaitement conforme à la description : propre, bien équipé et idéalement situé à quelques minutes de la plage et du centre-ville. Le logement offre une vue superbe, un cadre paisible et tout le confort nécessaire pour se sentir comme chez soi. Isabelle et Paul , les hôtes étaient chaleureux, disponibles et très attentifs à notre bien-être. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement à tous ceux qui souhaitent découvrir Calvi dans les meilleures conditions. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Nous remercions M. Orsini et sa famille de leur accueil ainsi qu'à nous répondre rapidement. Ils sont très sympathiques. L'appartement est propre fonctionnel, bien équipé et lumineuse. Bien localisé dans un secteur très calme à 15 à 20 minutes à pied de la plage, du centre et des services, N'hésitez pas à passer à son restaurant U Minellu. Excellent et le service aussi. Bon rapport qualité/prix, nous vous le recommandons.

Parfait

Voilà une belle adresse pour s'arrêter quelques jours à Calvi. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié déjà l'accueil (merci Isabelle et Paul, on est reparti de chez eux comme on quitte des amis), l'emplacement, et le côté fonctionnel de l'appartement. La terrasse permet une vie agréable à l'extérieur. Nous reviendrons. Conseil: N'hésitez pas à passer une ou plusieurs soirées au restaurant de Paul. Il est bien situé, sympathiquement aménagé et les plats sont excellents avec un bon rapport qualité/prix (on a fait une expérience malheureuse ailleurs).

Mécontents

Trop de proximité avec le voisinage. Manque d’intimité et bruit. L’annonce proposait un spa qui était inexistant ! Jardin non entretenu, et inaccessible ,avec un gros compost odorant juste devant l’appartement.

Un spa, sérieusement ? À ce jour, nous n’avons pas encore envisagé l’installation d’un spa chez nous. À titre personnel, je préfère me relaxer dans la mer, si proche, mais je peux recommander le splendide spa de l’Hôtel La Villa, à quelques mètres de notre maison. Nous sommes désolés que notre présence vous ait importunés, mais, c’est un fait, nous occupons les deux étages supérieurs. La plupart des personnes que nous recevons en sont ravies, car elles sont désireuses de rencontrer des Calvais ou simplement rassurées. Aux personnes préférant être seules au monde, nous recommandons un autre type d’hébergement, voire une destination plus excentrée. Je ne partage pas votre avis concernant notre jardin (certes éloigné d’un jardin à la française), qui abrite des plantes méditerranéennes (oliviers, bougainvillées, plumbagos, vignes, etc.), mais aussi de nombreux arbres fruitiers et un potager. Quant au compost, vous mentez, il n’est pas situé devant l’appartement de nos locataires, mais dans la partie privée de notre jardin, que vous n’avez eu de cesse d’envahir.

Kort verblijf in Calvi.

De gastheer verwelkomde ons met een fruitschaal. Hij liet ons toe op zijn parking om schade aan de huurwagen te vermijden daar er werken in de omgeving werden uitgevoerd en de toegangsweg te smal was om het gemakkelijk kruisen met de vrachtwagens toe te laten.

Apartamento tranquilo

Apartamento situado en la parte baja del domicilio de los propietarios, con vecinos al lado y jardín. Buena atención y amabilidad. Sencillo pero tiene lo necesario para pasar una estancia agradable. La limpieza no está incluida por lo que te ofrecen la posibilidad de hacerla tu mismo cuando te marchas o de pagar 50euros.

Appartement très très bien et d'un calme olympien dans un cadre bucolique.

Un joli jardin très fleuri à l'ombre d'arbres fruitiers. Un logement idéal pour se reposer, se balader en ville ou aller à la plage. Très jolie vue et des hôtes solaires.

Très bon séjour

Appartement bien situé sur les hauteurs de Calvi. Tres bon acceuil du propriétaire avec petit cadeau fruits et eau en guise de bienvenu. Idéalement pour visiter les villages pittoresques de la Balagne.
