Fantastic Christmas in Chaminox

The house is pretty much exactly as it appears online and easily had enough room for two families with grown kids. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and it’s location is very convenient to the town of Chaminox. The only negatives was that the lock out to the hot tub was broken most of the stay so it was difficult to get out. Also we had an unusually warm Christmas so all the snow melted and had to walk a couple hundred yards in the mud to drop off garbage. That being said I would 100% stay at the house again.

The house was just as pictured, beds were super comfortable and hot tub. Was Crystal clear and perfect temperature. The kitchen had all the utensils and dishware and glasses we needed it for our group of 12.Everything is spotless, clean, and the view from the deck is fantastic. Perhaps that’s true of Many rentals in the valley because this is our first but you can’t go wrong with the views of Mont Blanc, midi and the drus!Quick heads up that the oven controls are not intuitive and were not well covered by the house manual. We shared that with the management company so hopefully that has been addressed by the time you arrive. Also, the Grill clicker did not work and the Wi-Fi was not working, but with our troubleshooting help those issues were quickly resolved. Again, through WhatsApp, we communicated with the management company and they are very responsive. Just a quick heads up to confirm those before you arrive.Everything else was spectacular!

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Chalet Amelie and particularly appreciated the comfortable beds, the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen and, of course, those spectacular mountain views! Thank you also for your helpful feedback regarding the oven controls. We will review the information in our welcome guide to make sure the instructions are clearer for future guests. We were pleased to be able to assist with the BBQ by providing an alternative clicker, and that the Wi-Fi was quickly restored with a reboot. It was a pleasure having you stay with us, and we really appreciate your kind words about our team and their responsiveness. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Chamonix again in the future!

Well Appointed- Comfortable and Quiet

We arrived to a warm well appointed chalet with big beds and quiet rooms in a secluded part of Chamonix and we still benefited from watching the sun set over Mont Blanc as we ate at the barbecue. Transport links were excellent as was the road in and we found it easily. We went out one night and got to the town centre in 3 minutes by car. It has all the necessaries and more. We made full use of the hot tub and sauna after getting soaked in the mountains. The chalet was warm and inviting. It really feels like a mountain home form home with a careful blend of beautifully crafted wooden interiors and amazingly warm stone floors. It even has a secluded office for getting on with the intrusions of modern life and a playroom to park

Traditional look/contempory luxury - HUGE CHALET

This chalet is awesome - SO much space! We had the kids and they wanted to hang in hot tub then in the office and the TV room on the bean bags whilst we were drinking wine in front of the fire! Cooked on the barbeque on the sun-deck with the most outrageous view of the Dru and Mont Blanc. Super-comfy beds and nice en-suites. As usual with chalets, far too hot unless you turn the radiators off and open the windows!
