White Oaks Haven is one of our newer vacation homes. It sits on a large, private, half-wooded corner lot in rural Lee Township. Private beach access to nearby (1 mile away) Upper Scott Lake is included with this home, as well as unrestricted use of our canoe. Kayak rental is also available for reasonable daily ($25/day) or weekly rates; advance reservation(s) are required. White Oaks Haven previously operated as a hobby farm and was once designated as a National Wildlife Habitat because of its abundance and a great variety of organically-grown plants, flowers, bushes, and trees. The home sits on a large, grassy lawn, and comes complete with an outdoor fire pit and hot tub. The hot tub is open all year round (even winter), and it sits adjacent to a 3-season porch with beautiful river rock flooring. The home has five total bedrooms and two full baths, one of which has a fully-custom walk-in shower with a seat & sprayer hose.

Decorated in a charming country style, this accessible (i.e. no stairs inside) vacation home features north and south-facing picture windows with woodland views, and the 3-season porch has sliding doors that open onto the spacious and lushly green back yard. The living area is generous, and well-lighted and comes complete with: a full, modern kitchen; a formal dining area with an extra-large dining table; and a living room area with an electric fireplace and comfortable lounge seating.

The airy 3-season porch is equipped with foosball & air hockey tables and a small patio dining set. The roomy kitchen is fully equipped with dining ware, cookware, utensils, modern appliances, butcher-block island, and features plenty of counter space. The large dining table can seat at least 12 comfortably, and the dining area features a ceiling fan with chandelier lighting. The living area is furnished with a leather sofa, loveseat, and oversized chair with ottoman; also included is a large-screen (43"), flat-screen TV with 235-plus stations of satellite television service (including Fox Sports & local channels) and a DVD player.

Guests will have full access to our entire home, outdoor hot tub (available all year round, even winter), yard with fire pit, driveway & parking areas. Nearby (Exactly One Mile Away) lake access is provided, with a private beach and private dock with our canoe.

Use of our canoe is free with the home. We also offer reasonably-priced kayak rental ($25/day), by the day or week; reservation & pre-payment are required; a $100 minimum rental applies.

Local boat rental options may be available--just ask for details. The public boat launch is just down the street from your private beach & dock.

The Neighborhood:
This lovely home is situated on a large partially-wooded corner lot in serene, rural Lee Township, Michigan. Nearby (1 mile) access to your own private beach & dock with our canoe on Upper Scott Lake is included with your stay.

Summer brings the fun of boating, swimming, picnicking, and relaxing. The autumn colors are spectacular around the lake and area. Enjoy the area's winter sports like skiing, sledding, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. Spring brings the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting to life, invigorating your soul and mind after the long winter.

The cottage is 10-15 minutes away from Crane's Orchards and Dutch Farms, famous for delicious pies and fruit picking. On the way to the orchards is the Fennville Winery, offering tours and wine tastings. If you like antiquing, it does not get better than this - there are many antique stores within 20 minutes, either in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, and Saugatuck or along Blue Star Highway. In the summer dune rides are a blast and the South Haven beaches are gorgeous. Go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and apples in nearby orchards. Art galleries in the area offer a wonderful selection to take home as souvenirs. Take your own kayaks to different lakes and rivers - but don't forget your paddles and life jackets!

Upper Scott Lake is only 15 minutes from downtown South Haven or Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.

You will definitely need a car to see the best that southwest Michigan has to offer.

We Do Not Offer Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging & Attempting To Do So Will Overload/Damage Our Electrical System. Violators Will Be Charged A $400.00 Fine Plus Applicable Damages.
