Mammoth Lakes is a fantastic destination in both winter and summer. In warm weather, enjoy swimming or fishing at one of the nearby mountain lakes or hike the Crystal Lake trail and enjoy its beautiful views. When the snow is falling, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area boasts numerous cross country trails, snowboarding, and downhill skiing runs. And if you are up for a little drive, Yosemite National Park is less than an hour away, and is well worth the drive!

Very Spacious and Comfortable

Lovely place to stay in Mammoth. Terrific location near the main part of town. The place was well set-up and great spacious.

Family snowed in vacation

We got snowed in (crazy, beautiful weather) but this property was walking distances to everything we'd need (vons, etc) and had shovels and sleds for us to use which really helped (my kiddos had an amazing time too). A little challenging to dig car spots out of snow at the end of the the road, and parking for any visitors is almost non-existant when there is that much snow, but we made do.

Hot water issues

The condo itself was nice. There was no hot water. On a 4 night stay I did not get 1 hot shower. It was very cold and when it is cold I really prefer a hot shower not look warm. I was the 1st to take a shower and it still was not hot. I have stayed at many different places in Mammoth for the last 45 years, including places there were not high end and inexpensive and I have always been able to take a hot shower. I was told that this can happen sometimes. I have a lot of experience and this was a 1st. This was not a cheap place and I do not think it is too much to ask for hot water. I also paid a VRBO fee and did not get a response in a timely manner because they were backed up a very busy. I think I should have that fee refunded and a discount on the condo.

Mostly Nice with a small catch.

The location and places were great. Everything was mostly clean. Bedding and towels were plentiful. Now for the bad. The coffee pot filter holder was very dirty with coffee grounds, not really a big deal, but it should have been clean. The hot water runs out quickly just when one person takes a shower...not sure they have an adequate sized tank for having 3 full bathrooms. The TV remote is laggy and just plain doesnt work in intervals. I called the first day and Maintenance never got back to me the whole 4 night stay. I tried new batteries to no avail. Also, the TV and DVD player do not have streaming services (can get a cheap $50 DVD that has this these days) so you had to watch what was on TV, but we obviously had a hard time with the normal channels due to the aforementioned remote. Also, I have seen that a variety of DVD movies are usually present when we vacation, but there were none. My kids had their devices so it was fine in the end, I just don't like that they never addressed my issue.

We had a wonderful time

We had a great time staying here for the weekend. Pros: clean, very comfortable beds, a lot of hooks for all our snow gear and in the bathroom, heaters worked well, fireplace was great ambiance and heated the upstairs nicely, great views of the mountain from the breakfast nook, big backyard to the complex for snow play, also next to a playground for the kids, very centrally located, well stocked kitchen (minus some important items like plastic wrap and aluminum foil) Cons: the hot water to the showers didn’t last long, communication with the owners wasn’t great - takes a while for them to respond and they emailed instead of using the app, the television is old and requires HDMI hookups (no casting, no streaming), WiFi isn’t great, there are no games as pictured (maybe due to covid? We wished we would have known bc we would have brought some of our own). Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay again!

GREAT HOME

GREAT HOME But needed a better cleaning. A lot of dirt on the moldings and a lot of dust and spider webs in the corner. No bbq grill on patio. But overall a great home. My family loved it.

Fam Holiday weekend

We loved the location and living space. Easy access to condo. As far as pots & pans we were set. It was nice to have 3 full baths. We thought the kitchen could have used some basic spices & herbs and the hot water would quickly run out after 2 short showers. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but saw a couple others even though it was warm not hot. We would stay again and hope the next guests enjoy my BabyBliss blow dryer I left behind. :) thanks to the owners for sharing their place for our family to make memories of our own.

Mammoth Retreat

This house worked great for our family snow trip. All the bedrooms were good size, it was close to a park for snow play, wood burning stove added atmosphere, and it had a large living area and well equipped kitchen. Heater was stuck on high the first night and Master Bath sink was slow draining but we called Vacasa and they sent workmen out the next morning to fix both issues. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location

We loved the open kitchen, 3 beds w 3 baths, and walking distance to Vons, access to the transit line is close by. The jacuzzi and heated outdoor bathrooms made it nice to relax your muscles after a long day skiing. The park in the back was perfect for the kids to play. I would definitely recommend this townhouse and would stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Cozy Cabin Feel

The cabin was very spacious, yet cozy and clean. There were plenty of luxurious amenities such as a fireplace, dishwasher, great rain showers, modern kitchen, king size beds, etc. It was a perfect spot to explore Mammoth and area. We had 6 adults and two children, and it was perfect:)

Birthday weekend

Everything was lovely! It was the perfect place for our weekend getaway! We appreciated the beautiful kitchen and comfortable bed! Feedback for possible improvements: the showers do not stay warm for long... And the porch could be swept. All in all, a fabulous stay and we wouldn't hesitate to rent again! Thank you!

Return to Mammoth

CB 23 is a beautiful unit in our favorite Chateau Blanc. Well outfitted kitchen and three beautiful bedrooms - each with a king size bed and a private bath! We loved our stay and hope to return next summer.
