About this property

Charm, Luxury and Comfort in Bruges

17th century family house in the city center. Recently (2012) renovated with a beautiful town garden and terrace. Interior: Authentic elements (brick wall, wooden stairs, original fireplaces) combined with modern comfort.
All facilities are within walking distance and the house is 20 minutes by car to go to the seaside.

Housing
In the city center, completely renovated in 2012, very spacious (200 m²), 3 floors. Underfloor heating on the ground floor, WIFI, digital TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, Sonos wireless music system, hair dryer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, oven , dishwasher, small freezer in the stand-alone refrigerator. A separate bathroom and a shower room "on-suite". 2 double beds and 1 bunk bed in the children's room. Have breakfast in the garden in summer: teak garden furniture, 2 deckchairs, barbecue, ....

Access of travelers
The whole house is at your disposal with the exception of our dressing room and some cabinets that contain our private belongings :-).

Presentation of the neighborhood
Many eating places within walking distance. Get out of the house and visit Bruges on foot or rent a bike in the center. Pharmacy, bakery, butcher, supermarket, .... 250m from our door. 20 min drive to the sea

Fantastic luxury townhouse in the heart of Bruges

Really high quality, spacious and clean property in the heart of Bruges. We very much enjoyed staying there and would recommend to anyone wanting a luxury pad central to Bruges.

Amazing Space!

A beautiful, sympathetically restored historic house in the heart of Bruge. The perfect base for a girls shopping and sightseeing trip. Lynn was great at suggesting local places and the house is a huge space! Being an old building the stairs were challenging!

Great Location

Great house in a great location, with a short walk into the center of town. The house was fully equipped and we especially liked being able to sit outside on the patio after a long day of walking with a drink in hand. Owner was always quick to respond to any questions we had..

Beautiful place and a fabulous location in Bruges

A beautifully renovated house. Very spacious and warm. There was plenty of space for four of us. The location is fantastic, with a good grocery store only a few steps away and excellent nearby restaurants. The city center and historical sites are a very easy walk. I highly recommend this home for a visit to Bruges.

From the moment we arrived, we were truly blown away by the warm and inviting atmosphere of your home. It felt like a true home away from home, and we immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. A perfect accomodation to explore Brugge

Lynn was a super host, even from remote she swiftly took care of all our requests. As we arrived on a Sunday a special arrangement was made to deliver the keys to the house. During our stay Lynn emailed us with suggestions for take away meals as going out for dinner wasn't possible. (Covid you know...). A very nice extra! The house itself is very spacious, even for us, as we are a family of 5. The 2 bathrooms made sure there were no morning traffic jams. Our kids loved their rooms. The authentic stairs to the attic room where an adventure for them. :) We were also pleasantly surprised by the silence in the house, practically no outside noise... and that in the city centre of Brugge. Only 10-15 mins walk to the Belfort. We sincerely recommend this house if you want to stay in Brugge.

Stylish but challenging

This property is beautiful with a mix of old traditional construction with modern features. Check-in was essentially being given a key by the cleaning lady who was clearly in a hurry to leave, and with no explanation of the facilities. There was also no welcome notebook with instructions or suggestions in the neighborhood. We were also not informed that our day of departure (Sunday) was a no car day, which meant no taxis or buses either, so we had to walk 2.1 km over cobblestones and curbs. Unfortunately, much of the style was not really very practical. Lighting was complicated and not very functional. Unlike nearly all properties I have stayed in the past, I had to hunt for towels and bedding, buy my own toilet paper, and figure out how to open the various complicated cabinets and drawers. The one bedroom that we stayed in also had no room to unpack other than a small clothes rack—we ended up using the children’s bedroom as a closet. There was also a very off smell in the bedroom and shower room. Thank heaven we weren’t using the second floor bedroom—the stairs appeared to be from the original construction, narrow, steep and irregular. And there is no bathroom on that floor. The other staircase was modern, but potentially dangerous if you aren’t careful—only one railing, slick surface, and steep. I really don’t know where all the five star reviews have come from. I feel like I stayed in a different place. The one time I communicated with the owner, the response was very defensive and unhelpful. I would not stay there again.

Lovely clean accommodation with plenty of spaces, comfortable beds and plenty of crockery and cutlery. All the mod cons whilst blending fabulously within the Bruge character. Close to amenities and restaurants. Bedrooms are up stairs.

Wonderful Location

The house was spotless and had everything you would need. Our host was wonderful, great communication. A few things to know, these are not exclusive to this property. Most of the renovated homes this age have the same issue. The stairs are steep, short and curve. The second set of stairs are what seem to be the original wood. Property is not suitable for anyone who has any mobility issues. We actually left all our luggage downstairs and only went upstairs to sleep. There is no air conditioning and can get very hot. If on the rare occasions, it is hot in Bruges. Also two of the bedrooms face the street and can be noisy. That being said, the house is beautiful. The location is amazing and we certainly would stay there again. There’s a beautiful dining room and a comfortable living room that are not shown in the pictures.

Wundervolles Haus in schöner Nachbarschaft

Die Kommunikation zu Buchung und Aufenthalt war einwandfrei. Das Haus, inklusive Garten war traumhaft schön, individuell und clever gestaltet und bietet alles, was es braucht. Die zentralen Orte der Stadt sind fußläufig erreichbar und in direkter Nachbarschaft gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants, Geschäfte, Cafés und Bars. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Traveled with our 3 teens/young adults and it was perfect! Being out of the tourist area was important to us and everything was in close walking distance. Lynn was a terrific host and replied quickly with any questions. Her dining recommendations were great too!

Wonderful place to unwind and explore Bruges

We loved our stay at this house. It was spacious, well equipped, and had a lovely garden to relax in. It's a very easy walk to the central area without being in the middle of all the noise.

Großzügige und ansprechende Wohnung

Die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Sie ist großzügig und geschmackvoll gestaltet, alt und modern sind aufwendig, aber gelungen kombiniert. Der Innenhof und sein kleiner Garten sind eine Oase. Die zahlreichen Hinweise zur Nutzung der Wohnung sind sehr hilfreich (Ausnahme TV: Konnte nicht genutzt werden, weil unbekannte Codes verlangt wurden). Leider sind die beiden nach vorne gelegenen Schlafzimmer laut. Die gepflasterte und gut frequentierte Verkehrsstraße sowie eine lebhafte Gastronomie verhindern einen ausreichenden Schlaf. Ansonsten ist die Lage in der Nähe des Zentrums und einem in Sichtweite gelegenen Supermarkt sehr gut.

Die Wohnung war sehr schön, genau wie beschrieben - und noch größer und weitläufiger als erwartet, sehr geschmackvoll saniert und eingerichtet. Der Kontakt mit unserer Gastgeberin war sehr gut und schnell. In der Küche war alles vorhanden. Unsere Mädels haben sich jede über ihr eigenes Zimmer gefreut. Fantastisch! Zowel het grote, ongelooflijk mooi ingericht huis als ook de locatie (nog geen 10 minuten voetweg naar Brugge centrum) heeft deze vakantie perfekt gemaakt.
