You're a 2-minute walk to Publix and local favorite restaurants. Just a quick bike ride south and you're at the famous Emerald Coast beaches. Even better, your vacation at A Whale's Tail includes access to all the amenities WaterColor is famous for.

Enjoy exclusive access to the WaterColor Beach Club or any of the 9 community swimming pools, tennis and pickleball facilities. Or venture just down the road to the quiet public beach access across from The Surfing Deer and Market Café restaurants. You can also relax close to home on one of the two porches this home offers or enjoy the nearby Dragonfly Pool with a grill and fire pit for some low-key evening entertainment.

This home features an open concept floor plan, with the kitchen truly serving as the heart of the space, offering great views from the breakfast bar. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need including a coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, blender, and a refrigerator with an ice maker. Whether you’re preparing a home-cooked meal or grabbing takeout from one of the area's great local spots, you’ll have the perfect place to enjoy it—at the bar, around the dining table, or out on your private screened-in porch surrounded by peaceful views.

A Benchmark welcome bag and initial starter kit of amenities are provided for all guests. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom, plus 2 washing machine pods.

Just Perfect!

Great property for our extended long weekend. Very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Loved the walking trails in the neighborhood and the access to the beach club. Highly recommend!

Reviewer Comments: Our stay at A Whale's Tale in Florida was an absolute delight, and we can't recommend it enough!The location was a dream – just a quick 6-minute drive to Santa Clara RBA (hello, easy parking!) and even closer to all the fantastic Seaside restaurants. Being within walking distance to Publix and the Dragonfly pool was incredibly convenient for our family.Inside, the home truly shone. The spacious bedrooms, kitchen, and living areas meant our group’s four kids had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy themselves without ever feeling on top of the adults. It was a perfect setup for relaxation and fun!We were also thoroughly impressed with Benchmark. Their team was incredibly communicative and responsive to all our questions, and a huge bonus was that our property was ready even earlier than expected – truly fabulous!We would absolutely love to stay here again on our next Florida getaway!

This house is more than just a vacation home. You can tell the owners put care into every single detail and decoration. Very well maintained and super convenient location close to the grocery store. Wi-fi didn’t work most of the time. Couldn’t access Netflix or Disney+ for the kids to watch movies

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The size of the home was perfect for our family, but the home needs a deep cleaning. There was sand in one of the beds and under the rugs. We didn't have a working oven & they never sent anyone to check on it. I wish we had known prior to spending so much on groceries that we couldn't use. We tried to do an early check-in since no one was at the house but Benchmark was not helpful with that at all. They did agree to a noon checkout for us which was helpful.

Very disappointed, will not stay again.

Let me start by saying we love 30A! We have stayed in Watercolor, Prominence and Rosemary Beach and we love them all for different reasons! Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our stay at this home. When we arrived at the home the kitchen counters had a film over them, the trash can area had crumbs and debris still left in it and the kitchen chairs were covered in stains. The couches had a lot of stains and were very broken down, if you looked under the slip covers it looked like someone’s grandmothers old couch. When we went to the closet to get an extra blanket we found dirty linens that had stains as well. All of the outdoor cushions were very warn and dirty. We also found out when we tried to use the oven that it wasn’t working. We understand that it is a rental and there will be some wear and tear, but for the amount of money we were paying we thought it should be in better condition and better taken care of. I’m disappointed on how the owners kept this house, it very much feels like property bought for a rental only by an absentee property owner. Now, if I were the owners (and not an absent owner)… i’d be furious at the management company. Most of the cleanliness issues could be fixed if they took the time and did it right. As we walked in… it looked like this house was given a very quick 1 hour turn around from the previous guest and frankly wasn’t cleaned properly or thoroughly.

There was not one thing broken, or old in this house! Beautiful porches, quite area. It was very close to Watercolor Camp, and Publix. We had two suv, but rented bikes. Now that one thing I can tell you about, they tell you’ll get a discount to go to a certain bike rental, and you do get it, but the bikes were god awful, breaking all the time. Service was really bad! One more thing if you’d like to be closer to the beach, Seaside. It’s not that close to bike ride, or walk ! Otherwise just wonderful home.

Surprised

Not your fault but I did not know that the house was on the other side of 395. Everyday we had to ride back and forth over this highway to go to Seaside, to tennis, to the gym. Basically to do anything so that was a little disappointing. We were never told to bring our own cleaning supplies. I rented this house partial because of the two porches to sit outside and relax and read. However both were covered in pine pollen and pine needles. Cleaning these areas should be part of the overall clean. I understand it can get dirty by the day but that is easy to keep up. To come into the filth that was there made both porched unuseable. Then we found choclate between the sofa cushions,food particles on the dining chairs and under the table and sand in the bath tub. WOW! Also the dining chairs were stained prior to our arrival. The house was exactly what it was represented it was and we had a wonderful time but these other things that I mentioned really surprised and disappointed us. It made us think if the sheets and such were even clean. Anyway ain't complaining just stating the facts because you asked.

Amazing Vacation Rental!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at A Whale’s Tail for a pandemic delayed girls trip. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We would stay there again without question! We have no complaints, just a few notes: the amenities/access to facilities wasn’t totally clear during the booking and pre arrival phase. The Beach Club was AMAZING but we had to call to understand we could use it with our wristbands. Supplies: It was told to us that each bathroom would only have 1 role of TP before arrival, but for the price of the rental, it seems like more could be provided. Also only one extra trash bag was provided for 5 day stay—seems like that could be adjusted as well. Would also like to suggest beach towels for the house. Every other vacation home we have rented at a beach location has included beach towels. When you are flying to a destination, it is more difficult to bring supplies such as these, and having to purchase things like trash bags locally is wasteful. Suggestion: offer an upgraded provisions package where for additional fee, more of these items could be provided including beach towels. The management company was WONDERFUL during our stay. They promptly answered any of our questions, and rapidly responded when we had challenges with our door code. We were also dealing with a tropical storm warning during our stay and Benchmark was great with updates and communications regarding the weather. Would absolutely book our next rental through Benchmark!!! Thank you for the great vacation!

Good location

House and location were very nice. Within walking distance to the Publix was extremely helpful especially for a large family. Biking was easy. Needed a golf cart for better transportation to the beach.
