Bonita Beauty by the Beach and Good Fishing

Beautiful Properties with Superb view of the intercostal waterway. Property is about 5 minutes biking distance from the beach. Perfect rental properties for the summer, weekend, and holiday getaway. Enjoy the Beach during the day and Fishing at night in the property's backyard. House was not affected by Hurricane Harvey making it dry and safe. Lots of crabs are caught throughout the days on the intracostal waterway in the back side along with the canal side on the canal in front of the house. Galveston Island is about 20 minutes drive along the beach road to enjoy entertainments and restaurants. Pleasure pier is about 30 minutes drive away.

The house is a 3 bedroom house with 2 Bathroom and 2 showers capable of sleeping 11 people. One room and 2 Bunk beds. One Bunk have 2 twin and one Bunk with a twin and a full bed. The other 2 rooms have a Queen bed. The couch can be pulled out to a Full Bed capable of sleeping 2 people.

House is furnished with all the necessary appliances except a dishwasher. Water is from the city instead of well water.

House is nonsmoking. Area is quiet with only one way into area making it very safe and peaceful for kids, biking, scooters and walking. Street to the house is newly paved making it smooth and comfortable to bike and walk. There is one deck in the back of the house looking straight at the intracostal waterway with cool breezes most of the time.

House has central air and heating for those who prefer a/c, but the windows can be opened to allow the cool beach breezes into the house. The back deck have lounging chair in which you can lay and enjoy the evening as the sunset and the Intracostastal Waterway with big Tug Boats pushing and pulling barges along with Yatch and Deep-sea fishing boats zipping through. The house is surrounded by water in the front and back with a private canal in the front and the intracoastal waterway in the back. Because it is in a small town away from the city, the city water can get slightly yellow on rare occasions, esp. during and after a hurricane or topical storm. Best to bring drinking and cooking water. Thank you.

Check in is at 4:00 PM and Checkout is at 11:00AM. THe front door lock is electronic, so tenant does not have to worry about losing the keys in anyways. Small Pets are allowed for extra fees.

Because it is in a small town away from the city, the city water can get slightly yellow on rare occasions, esp. during and after a hurricane or topical storm. This is true for all vacation Rental on the island. Best to bring drinking and cooking water.

It was nice. Grandkids had fun fishing and crabbing. Mattresses and pillows could use an upgrade. More pans would be nice too. Overall we had a great stay. Close to the beach and restaurants

we had a great time staying at Bonita! It was our last summer vacay before school starts again. This property is in prime location for catching crabs! The house is clean and had basic kitchen items for us to use.

We have stayed here the last 3 years for our beach vacation. Every year we have the same outcome … a great week! The neighbors are nice, the balcony is wonderful to watch the ships, the kids love the fishing and of course the beach is just down the road! Thanks for another great week of memories!

The house was exactly what we were looking for as far as location. Unfortunately, the listing and pictures do not mention the LOUD a/c condenser on the back deck. It really made sitting outside and having a conversation almost impossible. The summer temperatures meant the a/c was almost always running. Definitely not peaceful! The kitchen is not stocked well, but we brought pots/pans/utensils so we were able to prepare meals. We loved the fishing pier and were very happy with the fishing light!

Perfect for fishing

All guys fishing trip, all my cousins and we had a blast. Had a good dock for fishing, caught a 5lb red fish there, jetty's are literally 4mins away and there's another fishing spot under the bridge about 2 minutes away. All good fishing spots. House is very big clean and I have literally no complaints. Owner was very nice and responded quickly 100% recommend and I'm definitely going to go back soon.

Spectacular Sunsets

Perfect house for our family already missing our time there and cant wait to go back. Neighbor on tge left was very nice. The fishing and crabbing was off the chain. Problem was the tide being so low and the boat loft didn’t work so our boat stayed in mud a lot. There are amazing restaurants and resources near for anything you need plus HEB will deliver groceries. We loved our 2 weeks just wasn't long enough, i would suggest that you get a broom, a large pitcher, wash cloths, and large bowls maybe with lids.

Overall was amazing as usual. Mosquitos were awful but owner was quick to respond with suggestions on what to use to cut them down! Maybe if used weekly or every couple weeks it would make a bigger difference! No complaints about our stay or the owner. He’s always been quick to respond to any question and always very kind! Kids loved fishing off the dock. I’m sure we will be back!

Great fishing location

The location was great, with it’s own fishing peer just off the backyard. The host was very responsive even when he was traveling. We had some issues with internet but we received prompt response. The sofa bed in the living room could use some cleaning; we didn’t use it because we had plenty of beds. There was an incident with a window that seemed that wasn’t set properly but the host said he was going to send someone to take care of it. Overall, the host is very responsive and highly recommend the house. Will stay again.

Fishing Trip near Freeport

Enjoyed staying at this house. Great water front house, clean, and with lots of amenities. Lots of hot water and shampoo. It is about 5 minutes drive to the jetty. The host is very responsive. We are looking forward to coming back again

Good location for going out fishing at the jetties, plenty of hot water, not a ton of parking but ok for one boat trailer and 1 vehicle. Green light was on but stadium light did not work when we were there. Everything was good, we had a good stay, the host let us back in after the combination changed at checkout time for a bag we left. Very responsive.

Great stay - kids loved crabbing for the first time!

Our group really enjoyed our stay. The location of the property was great for crabbing, which was the highlight of our vacation. It's a bit far from the beach, but we like to drive to the beach anyway, so that wasn't a problem for us. The beds were comfy, the A/C and showers worked great, and we liked that the kitchen table was large enough for our group of 9 to sit together. The unit was well-equipped with trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, some basic spices and laundry detergent. There is not a dishwasher, and we couldn't find any regular cups (there were wine glasses, margarita glasses, and coffee cups), so I recommend bringing paper plates and plastic utensils and cups to use. The unit was clean on the surface, but there were crumbs in the sofa beds and kitchen drawers and cobwebs around the washer/dryer, so it could use a deep cleaning. The utensils in the kitchen also needed a wash before use. The biggest problem we had was that the oven didn't work. We brought groceries with us, but not having an oven made it impossible to cook one of the meals we had planned. I reported it to the owner who was very responsive but unable to get it fixed immediately. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would rent the unit again if we were vacationing in the area.

The accommodations were great. The property was clean and spacious and includes a dock for your boat. The owner, Hieu, checked in via email to make sure everything was ok when we checked in and during our stay. Upon leaving, we forgot a few items and Hieu was able to locate the items and return them to us. Thanks!
