Cedars Hideout at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

Our home, Cedars Hideout, boasts breath taking views of the mountains with easy access to Kicking Horse Mountain's Golden Eagle Express Gondola. It's a great location for both downhill and cross country skiing (Golden Nordic Ski Club) as well as cycling and mountain biking. For the golfers in the group, the Golden Golf Course is within 10 km of the property and is typically opened mid April until early October. There are numerous other activities in the area including white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. Golden is surrounded by Canada's gorgeous National Parks.

There are multiple options to accommodate large families and groups. Please note there are three flights of stairs in the home which may pose a challenge to persons with mobility constraints. The "bunk room" is on the entrance level with four (4) double beds, and is set to entertain with a TV and game console. The second level includes 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have king beds containing their own ensuites with showers. The third bedroom is a king split to offer flexibility to separate into two single beds. This third bedroom is located directly across from the bathroom equipped with a tub/shower. All bedrooms are prepared with premium bedding for our guests. All bathrooms offer in floor heating. A pull out couch, queen-sized bed is available on the top level for additional sleeping space.

The third (top) level includes a fully equipped kitchen with top end appliances to keep hungry guests satisfied. There are multiple seating areas to watch a movie on the large flatscreen TV or to take in the beauty of the landscape. The 8 person hot tub and deck are also accessed on the third floor to provide a spectacular view of the Rockies and enjoy the mountain air. It's an excellent place to begin and end a day of cycling or skiing. A large gas BBQ is also on the deck for grilling. The fireplace and the BBQ are connected to the gas network. A half-bath and pantry are located next to the kitchen area. The dining table seats 10 and the kitchen island seats 4.

The garage is set up as a game room and provides a boot dryer, benches for boot removal, and ready access to the laundry room. All conveniences have been considered for getting skiers on and off the slopes quickly.
