Come "Wine Down" in Destin at this beautiful, completely remodeled, 3 bedroom/3 bath dream condo that sleeps 6 people. This luxurious condo features over 2,000 square feet of living space and over 360 square feet of a large wrap around balcony that faces the ocean and overlooks the pool area. Enjoy the ocean view and sounds of the waves while relaxing in the 2 full size chaise lounge chairs and dine on the balcony with the large outdoor dining table that spaciously seats six people.

Enjoy the views of the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico while relaxing in the grand living area through the wall to wall glass windows/doors that overlook the ocean. The fully equipped kitchen contains all new stainless-steel appliances (refrigerator, range, vent hood and microwave) and boasts beautiful quartzite countertops and a separate wine and beverage fridge.

The master bedroom offers breathtaking views of the ocean and your own private door to the balcony. Sleep in luxury in this king size bed and enjoy the private master bathroom that has an extra-large shower with 2 rain showerheads, large free-standing soaking tub, double vanities with quartzite counter tops and a separate toilet area for privacy.

The second bedroom is spacious and contains two full size beds. The third bedroom holds a king size bed and has its own private full bathroom with shower. The second and third bedrooms share their own private balcony with amazing views of the city and partial view of the ocean. All three bathrooms contain Next Step toilet seats to accommodate both adults and young children. This unit offers internet access and contains full size washer and dryer, beach chairs and sand toys for guests to use during their stay. If your kids enjoy gaming this is the place for them! This unit also comes equipped with an Xbox 360, so just bring your kids favorite games to play.

Silver Shells Beach Resort and Spa is the one of the most luxurious resorts in Destin and the ultimate vacation spot. St. Maarten is the only building at Silver Shells that is both Gulf front and allows weekly vacation rentals.

The resort itself is very nice and clean and the views/beach are great. However, there are some cleaning, maintenance, and communication issues that need to be addressed. Upon our arrival, there was a used feminine product and bloody towel in our Master shower. The toilet paper holder in the second king room is completely ripped off the side of the vanity. The toilet paper holder in the master is about to come off the wall. Both balcony’s need some serious cleaning. There is bird poop and cob webs along the railings on the back balcony. Both balcony’s need mopping-the bottoms of our feet were black all week from walking around this unit. We also had some issues with communication. I had messaged several times before arriving, asking about the beach chairs and toys listed available in this unit and was told that there were no beach chairs or toys here. There is in fact a giant deck box filled with beach chairs and toys on the main balcony for use. I am disappointed that I booked both chairs and toys from another company for the week, when there were items here for us to use. I would stay in this building again for sure, but not this unit specifically.

I’m really glad you enjoyed the resort, the beach, and the views, but I’m honestly so sorry about the issues you ran into in the condo — especially the condition of the master shower when you arrived. That’s absolutely not OK and nowhere near the standard I expect from my cleaning team. I truly wish you had reported this when you arrived. I'm truly sorry and shocked this happened. I’ve already addressed this directly with housekeeping and maintenance: the shower and bathrooms have been re‑inspected, the toilet paper holders are being repaired/replaced. On the communication side, I really dropped the ball about the beach chairs and toys. I misunderstood what you were asking. I totally get why that would be frustrating, and I’m genuinely sorry. I’ve updated my listing and my info sheet so future guests get accurate details about what’s provided. I truly appreciate your honest feedback — it helps me fix what went wrong and improve the experience for everyone. I’d love the chance to host you again in the future and show you a much better stay in this unit.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. Overall it was a great experience. The views of the beach and pool are second to none. The condo was very clean, minus one couch pillow smelling like pee. Perfect layout for a 1 or 2 small families to stay together. Will be booking another trip at this condo next year

Staying at Silver Shells property is amazing. The grounds, the pool and the ocean view, Par Excellent. The unit we stayed in was in the St. Marten building and it was beautiful and the corner unit location was amazing. Everything was easy to get to. The pool, the beach, all just a very short distance. The location of the property is situated so getting to other parts of the Destin area is very easy with little driving distance. Defin itely will be staying here again.

We have stayed at Silver Shells in the Maarten Bld last 5 years. We absolutely loved this unit 701 this year!! It was not only decorated beautifully in each room but the beds were all so comfortable!! Slept so well. Kitchen was also well stocked. . We loved the u shaped couch that we could all 6 have a place to sit comfortably ‘ It’s our very favorite and most beautifully condo we have ever stayed in we plan to be back at 701 Maarten bldg next year. We stay at silver shells every year and have been for 5 years. We love to try different condos for fun within silver shells to mix it up and this place has been our favorite thus far! Loved the views, clean, great beach and pool toys for the kids, well decorated, we will book this one again! Few small negatives, the air was set for us, we would not make cooler and while it was pretty chilly when we were down there this would have been a major issue mid summer. I didn’t didn’t reach out for help because it wasn’t an issue for us but could have been. Secondly, they charge 50 dollars for any missing bracelets which is very pricey considering they are super big and easily fell off. Lastly, it was a little inconvenient to have to go off property to pick up the keys AND bringing them back which is just an extra stop that wasn’t needed when you have little kids. All and all great place, pictures are spot on and we will book again!

Thank you so much for staying with at Silver Shells. We cannot wait to host you again. We do ask you to stop by to pick up your key cards and paperwork at our office, 1.7 miles from the property. We prefill your registration paperwork for the security office for you in your packet. We highlighted the few spaces you needed to fill out. We also want you to be able to enter right from your elevator into your vacation home. There is no charge for any missing bracelets. We know little ones like to keep them or they may get lost while wearing them. They are cute silicone bracelets. It happens. The $50 charge was only if the preprogrammed key cards are not returned. We have to pay for replacements. We only ask to cover the cost for lost keys for the vacation home. I do wish we were able to give you a five-star service for your stay. I do wish you would have contacted our office as we could have helped out with the confusion of the arm bands and the thermostat. It is a reprogrammable thermostat that we could have assisted you with setting it closer to your needs. We cannot wait to see you again in the future.

Lovely condo w/ beach access…come with a hard hat

Silver shells community no doubt offers wonderful condos, spectacular views, and a expansive lovely (heated) pool. My kids loved the amenities, playing corn hole, having some beach toys. It’s a great location, away from the major foot traffic. The inside of the condo was clean, updated and fairly well appointed. All told you might be wondering why not a 5 star review? From the day we arrived there was construction in the unit above, sawing, drilling and hammering for three days of our stay. The cleaner had to come sweep to remove a bag of sawdust from the patio, chairs and tables (rental company was at least responsive). Lovely to have sawdust blowing in your face while trying to enjoy an ocean view. There was no communication amongst HOA and owners to avoid renting a space directly below a construction zone. In addition to our building the Silver shells property adjacent was under heavier construction with scaffolding maneuvering up and down many floors, sawing much of the day as well.

Great place to stay with just a couple of issues

Really did love staying at StMaarten in this unit in spite of the below listed complications: #1: communication between VRBO/Emerald Coast/SilverShells/Compass - to many parties involved - getting different answers between the 4 entities. Emerald Coast was good about answering the phone when needed. #2: middle bedroom bath is located IN the kitchen area. So this would be the main reason we'll not be staying in unit 701. I suppose if you had children it might not be a big deal but with all adults this was "uncomfortable". #3: On checkout day while packing suitcases in the garage and returning to the unit, 9AM, the cleaning "family" were found digging thru our personal items. Totally unacceptable. They had already taken my daughters sun hat and put it in their "stack".. We were even leaving 45 minutes prior to the final checkout time of 10AM.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Silver Shells! Hopefully I can clarify some of the concerns: 1) Your stay was booked with Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals through VRBO. The other company/companies you listed were never communicated to you, so I can only assume you looked those parties up online on your own. All information regarding the stay was communicated to you directly from us, so I apologize if this was confusing. Many companies in the area rent units here, so if you look up the complex you can get a lot of confusing information vs only using the information we provided to you directly. 2) The guest bath is in the hallway outside the kitchen, and it services the nearby guest bedroom and the common areas in the unit. 3) During check out housekeeping does do courtesy checks in an attempt to get the unit cleaned and the next guest into the unit as soon as possible. If no one answered the door slightly before the checkout deadline, housekeeping may have entered and thought those items were left. These items are brought back to housekeeping when left so they can be returned, so it's no surprise they had it given it appeared you had departed. We apologize for any confusion.

Beautiful Condo. Poor Property Mgmt Company.

The Pros: This condo is pristine and the amenities on the resort were really convenient. We especially enjoyed the beach bar and playground onsite. Cons: The pool was not cold it was freezing which was disappointing considering we were told that it’s heated starting in October. Also, the bathtub didn’t work in the master and was never fixed during our stay. We played phone tag with the property mgmt company and finally heard back that they would fix it between 1-3 on Monday but they never showed. This was two days after we first called bc they aren’t open on Sundays. Also, the checkout requirements were not inclusive of what they asked for when I dropped the keys off. Minor detail but annoying. Although this condo is beautiful and location ideal, our poor experience with the property mgmt company would prevent me from booking it again.

We make sure not to advertise the pool as being heated so that in the event the heater malfunctions, we have not misrepresented the complex amenities. We received your call after hours about the stand-alone tub in the master and had a plumber out the next business day to repair. We communicated this to you by leaving a message on the number you provided on the time they would be there, and it was completed that day/time so I am unsure how we could have handled that any better or faster. Check out instructions are emailed at booking and the day before checkout... the key cards are dropped to the same location you picked them up from and we are always available if guests have any questions.

Beautiful condo. Love love love the views, private elevator, pool, and beach. Beautiful sun rise from balcony Absolutely stunning unit and resort. Will be back next year. Needed a few items: broom, dish towels, rubber mixing spatula, pot holders. Very hard to remove food from Oven without pot holders. Otherwise 5 star all the way!

Great place to stay if you are in Destin. Looks just like the pictures and as described. We had 8 of us, 2 adults and the rest were teenagers and we all enjoyed. Chair service is great, it’s better to stop in during the day and reserve your chairs for your stay instead of the morning you need them. The line is very long in morning, at least when we were there. Pool area is nice and large. Walmart is right across the street which is nice since there’s so much traffic. Only minor suggestion would be to stock kitchen trash bags and we couldn’t find any kitchen wash cloths. More blankets would be nice as well. Checkin and out is not at location, but that was fine for us since we drove right by that location.

Beautiful unit yet not cleaned well.

View was amazing and decor beautiful but paying over $7000 for a week and not having a spotless unit is unacceptable. Bottoms of our feet were very dirty the first day, hair in my daughters bed, hair in all bathrooms and urine on toilet seat in master. I brought cleaning supplies and was disgusted when finished mopping that the mop pad was black. We are not hard to please and after I cleaned the unit we had a wonderful week but would probably not choose this management company again if the cleaning is this poor.
