Please note this property is my primary residence but you will have if to yourself.

It was so uniquely decorated and so comfortable. It felt like a tropical cottage.I loved looking outside each moring to see what native birds there were to see, orthe turtles sunning themselves.

Magical serene retreat

This was the perfect spot for me to get away and get in touch with the beauty in nature and myself. I spent a long weekend here and made art, sat by the water and had a peaceful night lounging in the hot tub.Marissa makes it feel like you are house-sitting for your best friend rather than staying in a VRBO.The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous, the evenings clear and full of stars.Everything inside was easy to use and find when I needed it. I hope to come back very soon!

Super adorable and cozy stay

Cozy little romantic bungalow on a nature-filled Florida lake. Definitely has an 'old florida' feel combined with an international travel vibe. The decor is super fun and the lighting just sets the mood well for a romantic getaway. There were plenty of amenities and the mattress was very comfy. I loved the combination of nature and art that Marissa has curated. She was quick to communicate with us and check in/check out was easy. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We put this down on our 'best trip ever' list.

Standard

The house certainly did the job but that's all. The outside is a bit shabby. The grass was over ankle high. Gutters were in disrepair and dripping on us as we entered. There is a large philodendron obscuring part of the entrance. Inside, the marbled kitchen countertop is great! The surfaces however are cluttered with this owners possessions. Salt lamps (5 in total around the house that you can't turn off), oil diffuser, sculptures, etc leaving very little space for our own things or groceries. Lighting in the house is minimal. I found it hard to read a book in the low lighting. The bathroom has 5 bulbs. Only one was working making it difficult to see. There isn't really a place in the bedroom for your things. Our open suitcase just sat on the floor. The couch was comfortable. The live edge table, beautiful. There were just little things that weren't up to expectation. The kitchen faucet was broken, a kitchen cupboard handles missing, bedroom to hall floor is uneven.

Thank you for the thoughtful review! The grass hadn’t been cut because we had just gone through a tropical storm so my lawn guy couldn’t do the weekly cut. The storm also knocked part of my gutter off that has since been repaired. The salt lamps/sculptures etc are decor lol. There is storage and a hanging closet rack in the laundry room for your suitcase/personal items as stated in my house manual. Listing also states it’s my primary residence and closets are locked in bedroom. The Philodendron doesn’t obscure the entrance. Also isn’t it lovely? The lighting ma’am is on a dimmer. This means you have full control on trying the lights all the way down for mood lighting and all the way up if you prefer bright lights. A missing cabinet handle and a loose faucet. . Please check out the other popular site for home rentals for all my superhost reviews! This guest was demanding, rude, unfriendly, condescending, and unhappy she wasn’t able to break the stay and be fully refunded, hence I expected this petty review. Also, please clean up after yourself when you leave. Cheers Lynette!

Lake house

Views of the lake and sunsets were lovely. The house itself did not seem well-maintained, but location was wonderful, Marissa is a kind and responsive host and the back deck is a bird-watcher’s paradise!

This property is not a vacation property it’s a primary residence of the owner. I just wasn’t very comfortable being in someone’s home with personal items around the house. It was more of an airb&b which I would not of rented, but that’s just my personal preference.

Private-Relaxing Escape

Although, located in a residential area; this property offers a great deal of privacy, beautiful scenery and wildlife. Our host was accessible and discrete. Property was clean with all the amenities of home. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely return.
