About this property
Historically Registered 1847 Cabin
Escape to the country while staying close to the city with this 2,600 square foot hand-hewn log home from 1847. Historically registered, recently remodeled, this property leaves you comfy and relaxed. Lounge on one of the 2 large decks and enjoy the sunset or sunrise. The over sized kitchen will make cooking a country dinner a breeze. Rinse the day away with a rainfall shower head in a custom tile shower and enjoy night with plush beds.
This historically registered log cabin is nestled on a cul-de-sac in a community with every home in it on 5-acre tracts. Average home values of $750,000 and above provide an elite feeling community. Several of the neighboring properties have horses. This cabin is perched on a hill top and overlooks the treed surroundings. The property is quiet but offers a quick route to the freeway and numerous methods of entertainment such as golf, shopping, parks, wineries, distilleries, museums (don't miss the Louisville Slugger Museum), Churchill downs, plays and much more!
SHOPPING - The closest outlet mall is only 8.6 miles (15 minutes) away. There are 2 more enclosed malls only 14 miles (19 minutes) away.
PARKS - One of the biggest local attractions in Louisville is its parks system. There are more than 120 public parks in the metro area alone, many created by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. Enjoy a walk in the newly renovated Beckley creek park only 3.9 miles away. At Beckley Creek Park, the possibilities are as wide open as the 22-acre Egg Lawn. You can spend the day bonding over a bucket of worms at William F. Miles Lakes, discovering nature along numerous trails, or learning something new at the PNC Achievement Center for Education and Interpretation. The Marshall Playground and Spray ground is the perfect place for kids to let off steam while parents relax or enjoy the walking loop. Family outings aren’t complete without a picnic at the Price water house Coopers Pavilion or on a blanket spread in the shade of the Oak Picnic Grove.
GOLFING - If you love to golf, there are numerous golf courses quite close. Louisville's ten public golf courses offer a quality golfing experience at some of the most affordable prices in the nation. Each course has its own unique character, and some consistently rank among Kentucky's best and most challenging courses.
Louisville Parks golf courses are open from daylight to dark seven days a week, and each course has a fully stocked pro shop! Each golf course has a men’s, women’s and junior’s association. Memberships provide fellowships through tournaments, USGA handicaps, and other events. The closest of which is only 5.8 miles (12 minutes) away.
WINERIES - You don’t want to miss the unique Wineries available to close to you. Including the Winery Trail on I-71 that starts in La Grange (Exit 22) only 20 miles away! Each winery and vineyard on the Winery Trail offers their own unique theme, tranquil setting, and the best Kentucky wines in the state. All 8 wineries are an hour-or-less drive from this home.
