Bourbon Country Cabin with HOT TUB and Fire Pit on Brashears Creek
Located on beautiful Brashears Creek in the heart of Bourbon Country, this loft style cedar cabin makes a great central location to visit some local distilleries and wineries. It is also a great place to stay for anyone who might be in the area for a horse show or interested in antique shopping along Shelbyville's historical Main Street. My personal favorite thing to do at the cabin is enjoy the creek. We love to canoe, kayak or even just float on a raft depending on the conditions.
This is a cozy, rustic cabin in the countryside. The property is accessed by a gravel road and includes simple, durable features like sealed concrete floors-all part of the relaxed, country cabin experience.

We loved staying here! It was a remote getaway for our family. The cabin was rustic, homey, and cozy. The host was so quick to respond to any message we sent. The views were great, and everyone we met was so friendly. We would highly recommend staying here!
Cute rustic cabin! Peacefully quiet and calmjng. Comfortable beds and Hot tub was wonderful after a day on the bourbon trail! Wood stove was warm, cozy and inviting! Kitchen was well supplied. Great place to stay, we will return
My husband and I had a fantastic weekend getaway here. The kitchen was well stocked, the cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the wood burning stove made it so cozy. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and walking along the creek. We’re looking forward to coming back at different times of the year to enjoy the cabin and the farm again!
A rustic cabin situated in a quiet rural setting with all the essentials provided for a restful getaway. Clean and well maintained, with a super simple check-in process.
The property is definitely off the beaten path which was just what we were looking for. A lot of privacy and seclusion for a great getaway weekend. Amenities were great and the inside of the cabin just felt so rustic and old timey. Really enjoyed our stay 10/10
My dad and I had a great stay at the cabin. We were in town for the PGA Championship at Valhalla and the cabin was a great place to unwind after a long day in the course. Lots of great golf courses around the area to play as well! Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We felt very safe and comfortable at the cabin!
It was such a peaceful stay, we stayed here a year ago, and decided to come back with our kids this time. They loved exploring the creek and playing in the big yard

Thank you so much, Ed! We really appreciate your support and am very happy to hear that you and the kids enjoyed the cabin. Hope to see you back next year!
Cabin was exactly as described. Loved the rural location as it allowed us to escape our daily grind. Host was top notch. We enjoyed the creek, hit the bourbon trail, and even met a few of the neighbors. Highly recommend.
Peaceful property centrally located between Louisville and Lexington. Cabin felt like home with all the amenities. Beds were a tad small as a previous review stated but that did not affect our stay. Water pressure for shower dipped if using water elsewhere at the same time but that is to be expected with a well. Also, did not affect our stay. The hot tub was an added bonus and centrally located for serene views. Highly recommend!!
Our stay was great from beginning to end. The cabin had all the amenities you could need and then some. The owners have thought of pretty much everything. Any questions we had were quickly answered by the owners as well. The bed was soft and comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was nice having a full one available. We enjoyed the quiet of the area immensely. My husband and I had a wonderful stay while checking out the bourbon trail. If we're ever back this way, we'll be staying here again! Side note - if you have Verizon, be aware that service is pretty spotty.
This is a great little cabin in a perfect location. Just be careful on your journey to and from the property as the road is narrow, and there is wildlife. And just like a cabin, bring everything you may think you will need as there is nothing "close". The host is gracious and easy to communicate with. We are plannimg on visiting again with more friends next year.
The property was really cozy, warm, and inviting. Hosts were extremely timely in response to concerns. We did not use the hot. But did take a walk to the water. Only issues we had were 1-2 birds flying in to the heater and making an incorrect vehicle choce for the drive there ( gravel roads for the last little bit to the cabin)

Hello! Thanks for taking an interest in our cabin. My husband, three children and myself live on a farm very close to the cabin where we have horses, cattle, chickens and a few hogs. We are nature lovers and prefer to be outside whenever possible. Hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, and canoeing/kayaking are some of our favorite things to do. We feel blessed to live in such a beautiful area and look forward to sharing it with you!
Why they chose this property
This is not your typical kit built cabin. Although it has been updated, the cabin is about 40 years old. It is charmingly decorated and it feels so cozy that you won't want to leave. There is a staircase to the loft which has two separate open rooms that between them hold two extremely comfortable queen beds, a day bed, and a small rope bed. The kitchen/living room area is very open as well and has two full size couches and a wood stove (wood included). The bathroom includes a claw foot tub and elegant light fixtures. Enjoy taking a dip in the hot tub, relaxing in the rocking chairs, lounging in a hammock, and exploring the creek while you stay. Amazing views all around!
