Le Moulin de Trédos, The Hobbit House of the Moulin de Trédos
First, visit my XXXX site. com (you will easily find) to better visualize the 3 apartments and the estate with many photos.
In the heart of the Minervois, between sea and mountain, the Trédos mill was built around 1650 on the ruins of a Roman temple. a magnificent river enamelled with waterfalls flows beside the mill, it winds between the mountains where the holm oaks mix with the garrigue; the water is fresh and pure and invigorating swimming for those who do not fear a temperature of 16 degrees! The pool rises to 21-23 degrees :) The place is surrounded by nature and 2 km from any house! nature is generous, flowers, scents of lavender, thyme and other southern plants, butterflies, cicadas, a pure starry sky ..., everything is there to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Hobbit’s house overlooks the Mill and the gaze is lost in the wilderness to the horizon. All the ingredients are there to meet, recharge your batteries, get back in touch with nature and essential values, ... Alone, as a couple or with your family!
The exposure is west and the view covers the mountains or scrubland, holm oaks and other Mediterranean vegetation share the territory.
A river with extremely pure water flows through the middle of the estate, which is around 10 ha.
Hobbit's house is on the site of an ancient ruin, the Lord of the Rings is waiting for you! Built underground, the property's chestnut frame, green roof hugging the curves of the mountain, isolated from the Mill but close to the river! A unique house on a unique site with all comfort!
The Hobbit house can accommodate a maximum of 8 people (6 is more advisable) including 3 children; with an area of 65 m², it offers all the comfort. In summer, the freshness is always present and in winter the heat provided by a wood stove is soft and pleasant thanks to the celling of the house. Two bedrooms, one with 2 single beds on the mezzanine in addition to the large 160 cm bed and the other with a single bed on the mezzanine. TV, sofa bed, dishwasher, washing machine, jet shower.
In front of Hobbit's house, you will find a magnificent panoramic terrace with table and benches in red Caunes marble and a stone's throw away, an old-fashioned barbecue, worthy of a medieval banquet. A natural swimming pool, without the addition of products, fed by river water but with very cool water (max. 20-21 degrees) is accessible during the months of July and August.
Around the Mill, you can walk on a green path and reach the village of Vélieux (35 min) or even go back to the source (20 min) or even go on an "adventure", in the forest or along the river and who knows how to choose a place to picnic under a century-old tree, ... at the foot of the waterfall, in a clearing ...
