About this property
Beautiful House for a Wonderful Vacation
Your vacation starts here! Unpack and settle in after choosing one of three bedrooms. This house offers many amenities as shown in the photographs. Bedroom 1 is the Master with a King bed. Bedrooms 2 & 3 each have queen beds. This house has 2 bathrooms upstairs and a half bath on the first floor.
No animals please. The Jacuzzi is offered during specific times of the year. Some exceptions apply.
This high-end home is everything you see, but what you can't see are the many activities located in a small radius with this house at the center! Borrow the included bikes and take a left out of the driveway to get to the bike path. 2 miles north is the Echo Lake Cafe. This breakfast/ lunch eatery has been around forever and that is a testament to it's popularity! 2 miles further is the turn off for Jewel Basin. This is a gorgeous hiking area for hikers of all abilities. There are spectacular views, mountain lakes, mountain goats and beautiful foliage.
1 more mile further is Echo Lake. The warmest, cleanest, and best water-skiing happens here. It's very calm so this lake is also recommended for: fishing, swimming, snorkeling, playing, and using the included three kayaks to glide through it's waters. It's fun to explore all the inlets, bays and islands.
Turn right from the driveway and it's a nice 1 mile walk/ bike/ drive to the Swan River and it's bridge. The exit of the bridge is a good spot to enter the river with the kayaks (included) and this launch point is called Kearney.
The entrance of the bridge, on the right, is a 2 mile nature path to downtown Bigfork!
Please Note: No Animals No exceptions. The Jacuzzi is offered during specific times of year unless requested
*We offer reduced rates during the off season and also for longer stays. These can be negotiated.

About the host

Why they chose this property
My Great Grandparents homesteaded this area in 1885. I can still drive Swan River Road and Hwy 209 and see old cabins and barns my grandpa, great grandpa and relatives built. My grandpa's carpentry skills were heavily used on the lakefront homes along Echo lake. My relatives lived in and owned these properties well into the 2000s.
