dining area, all surrounded by a large yard. Very private, at the end of a long driveway beyond the end of a cul-de-sac.

Cottage retreat

The property was beautiful. Set back from the road and very private. The driveway was a little tight getting around rocks and trees in a circular pattern and I was glad I had a smaller car than usual.

Very deceptive listing

The owner offered me a full refund (if I made up my mind that day) after I had a conversation with her about the condition of the exterior of the house. I took pictures as evidence of the difference between her pictures of the property in the listing and what we found when we arrived. The risers of the cement steps to the front door were caving in - I did not consider the steps safe to use. She told me we were supposed to use the “garden path”, which involved stepping onto a stone wall and then walking on a stretch of packed dirt to the house. The “garden” that is touted in the listing and pictured as manicured plants surrounded by mulch was an overgrown tangle with weeds four feet tall. The interior was basically as pictured, minus a few lamps, and would be ok if you weren’t looking out on the neglected garden and a bunch of garbage cans.

Great Cottage with Character

Nicely hidden at the end of a cul-de-sac, this 2 bedroom cottage with some historic character was perfect for us while visiting family in the area. Close to major roads and shops but not too close and super close to the water. Good AC was very welcome in the 95+ degree humid summer weather.

Perfect launch pad

Stayed here for a quick visit to see family in Rowayton/Darien. It was a perfect spot for us and the hosts were very responsive with questions. Kitchen is well-appointed and new, AC worked great, towels and linens were plentiful. Smacked our shins on the platform bedframe a few times and the toddler fell through the living room sectional a couple times (ha) but otherwise no complaints! Look forward to staying here again when we are in town.

Amazing Cottage - all good things

Great two bedroom cottage in Rowayton. We were renovating our home and stayed for an extended period. The place was perfect and the owners were very responsive to rare issues we had in the cottage - think everything was sorted in 12 hours or less. Place was so great my parents asked to rent it later this year to be near us during the holidays. would 100% recommend this to ANYONE wanting a place to stay in Rowayton - beautiful street, location and wonderful owners.
