Set in large walled gardens with impressive views across the harbour
Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 has a super king size bed and enjoys sea and harbour views with French doors leading to a private balcony. Newly installed air conditioning.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and newly installed air conditioning.
Bedroom 3 has two single beds with room for possible additional single airbed (please enquire) plus new installed air conditioning.
The villa sleeps six comfortably, although there is a sofa bed in the lounge for an additional person.

Bathrooms: Two bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has en-suite bath/shower room with basin and WC
Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom which has been totally updated in 2016. Walk-in shower, WC, basin and vanity unit.
Kitchen: Fully tiled Spanish style kitchen with walk-in larder, gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
Utility Room: Washing machine is sited within the garage utility room.
Living Rooms Split level lounge/dining room with dining table, large sofa (sofa bed), 2 armchairs, TV with DVD and Free view UK stations. Air conditioning. French doors open to tree-lined lower garden laid to lawn and upper poolside terraces with covered seating/dining areas.
Other: Small roof terrace.
Linen service: The villa is fully cleaned prior to your arrival and after you leave. Fresh linen is supplied along with bath and hand towels (please bring your own beach towels). During a 2 week let the bed-linen and towels are changed after approximately 7 days.
Notes on accommodation
The villa has been recently fitted with a new oil-fired heating and hot water system to give year-round comfort. Air conditioning is installed within the main lounge and all bedrooms. La Pereza's gardens are fully enclosed.
Outside: The villa enjoys a slightly elevated position affording beautiful views towards the south-eastern harbour entrance. Positioned centrally within gardens of 1/3rd of an acre and bounded by several acres of natural parkland to the west La Pereza has the feeling of secluded privacy and tranquillity and at the same time feels refreshingly open and bright. The private pool is safe for children and elderly alike with its Roman steps entry and large surrounds and there is a further large patio to the east side of the villa. A table tennis table is provided for use, along with a football and football goal and netball post if required!
The property is constructed on 3 levels and therefore unfortunately unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility difficulties.

Had a fantastic week with the family at this lovely villa.It has everything you will need for a relaxing time pool area is perfect with great outside space.Mellisa was great to deal with check-in was really easy.Short walk down to the beautiful harbour of Es Castell with great restaurants would definitely come back.

Perfect villa for three generations of our family. Our four year old granddaughter not only enjoyed the pool but also playing in the large enclosed garden area and with the selection of toys in the villa. The adults enjoyed strolling into Es Castell in the evenings. The villa was well equipped and spotless. Our stay was faultless.

The property is very comfortable and has everything you need. We had such a lovely week there. We walked into Calas Fonts every evening (our favourite place to go in the evening). The villa is on a lovely large plot, the pool is a great size and is in a peaceful area. We would highly recommend this villa and very much look forward to coming back some time

The host was very helpful and accommodating to our needs which was much appreciated!The property location is perfect with a 10 min walk to Calas Fonts, or 5 mins to the sea inlet with boardwalk.The facilities at the villa were excellent from table tennis and the pool to lots of board games and books and the pantry was well filled with staples which you don’t always get.The villa met our needs of 4 adults but the interior was in need of a deep clean and paint touch up but it was end of season and overall it was clean enough and wouldn’t stop us rebooking !

Wonderful property with a fantastic location. Melissa was fantastic to deal with, we had a fabulous week at the villa. The outside space is gorgeous and the pool is just perfect. Lots of space to sit, chill and relax, the surrounding area really is so peaceful. Just a short walk from a beautiful harbor with some great restaurants. The villa has real charm. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Week!

We had a really enjoyable week in the villa. It was a late booking but Melissa made everything simple and the communication was great. If anything the photos probably don't do the villa justice as it's even better when you see it! The pool area is perfect and the kids loved the size of the pool and all the inflatables etc that are provided and free to use. A perfect holiday ... highly recommended!

Beautiful Villa, beautiful place!

We've had a fabulous time at this villa, everything went like clockwork from the booking to the arrival instructions and the villa is amazing!! Everything you could wish for, clean and tidy rooms, great sun beds, massive pool, air con, wifi, very comfortable beds, an amazing shower and a fully equipped kitchen. Nice walk to Cala Fonts/es castelle, only 10mins from villa, lovely to eat around the harbour on an evening, very pretty and you can catch the huge cruise ships sailing passed from Mahon. The villa also has spectacular views of the cruise ships too, just listen out for their horn and check it out from main bedroom balcony. Overall, brilliant time, have stayed in many villas and this is one of the best! Thanks Melissa & family!

first holiday with baby

this is a lovely large villa with plenty of outside space. The management company were excellent and reactive to any problems. It is a good property for 2 families with 2 bedrooms and bathroom at ground level. There are a number of stairs to the kitchen and third bedroom. The kitchen is adequate but probably needs a little updating. The white goods are all new and a washing machine is a must for young families. The host was great and we were able to do an online shop which arrived just after we did.

I wish someone had given an honest review of this house. I would not have booked. The outside are is great but inside was poor. The most important rooms were awful. The en suite to main bedroom has not been updated since the house was built -60 years? It was very tatty & smelt. The kitchen was the same, not replaced since the house was built. It had rotten windows sills inside, chipped paint, cracked electrical sockets and switches. In these two rooms the electrics also looked like they hadn’t been replaced since the house was built. It looked dangerous to me. The bed linen etc was clean as was the middle of the rooms but skirting boards, under beds etc were covered in dust and there were loads of long black hairs everywhere. We did not go barefoot in the house. There’s one new bathroom ( the one shown in photos ) lovely ! The bedrooms and sitting room are OK but dated and the sofa was stained. I cannot understand how anyone could rank this 9/10 or 10/10. I can only assume there are friends of the host.

September family stay

The villa is very well located - quiet and away from the main town centre but an easy and pleasant walk and only 10 mins to the local shops and restaurants of Calas Fonts. The outdoor areas of the house are amazing with a large clean pool, garden and sunny terrace plus activities like table tennis, a comfy shaded eating area and seperate delightful rooftop terrace. The house is large and very well equipped but it really does need updating in the main bathroom and kitchen which are now very tired and a little bit like time travel! Sadly out of keeping with a villa of this size and cost. Everything works but things desperately need to be updated and replaced. However, I would still definitely recommend this villa as it won us over with its charm and it is perfect for a large family group. It was spotless on arrival and I want to say that our host Melissa was exceptional from the outset and incredibly helpful. Communication was perfect and when a couple of things were needed she dealt with them immediately. A truly 5 star host.

A very nice stay

Melissa a été super agréable, accueillante et réactive. Sa maison est fidèle à son annonce, et parfaite pour une famille avec de multiples activités. Petit bémol pour la plage qui est en fait un petit port dans lequel il est recommandé de ne pas se baigner. Mais beaucoup de belles plages dans les environs à 15min de voiture. La maison est top. Je recommande vraiment !

Parfait pour des vacances en famille

Logement bien situé et très agréable à vivre en famille. La conception de la maison fait en sorte que chaque chambre est préservée du bruit. Le plus: la piscine avec bouées et équipement pour la plage, les jeux pour enfants Et tout l’équipement de la maison de façon générale

The villa has a large plot with good size pool, ideal for families with older children due to the number of internal steps. Location is 10 mins walk into centre. Had a lovely time and the place has everything you need for a classic villa holiday. Some parts of the property requires modernisation.

Spacious villa, great location

Really good villa with a terrific pool. Loved the spacious feel and comfortable beds. En-suite & kitchen could do with an update (otherwise would give 5 stars) but perfectly usable. Excellent location with Cala Fonts and it’s restaurants so close by. Would definitely recommend.

One word can summarise our stay at Es Castell and that “AMAZING”

The property itself is divine, the location to local bars and restaurants as well as other amenities is perfect. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at “La Pereza” and are already discussing our return. “Best holiday we have had” are the words spoken by all. Loved it.

Lovely poolside villa in a nice area and fully enclosed

The villa is quirky in its layout but worked well for grandparents sharing with son and his small children. Lots of space and 2 bathrooms which were very handy. Wow factor when you arrive - our granddaughter thought the garden and pool were like "paradise!"

As a family we have enjoyed spending numerous holidays on the beautiful Island of Menorca. With its Idyllic sandy beaches and coves abound on this island. Many can be reached within 10-30 minutes drive. Es Grau, Alcaufar, Cala’n Porter and Punta Prima are just a few of the many beautiful beaches for all the family to enjoy. There are a vast selection of very good restaurants which we can recommend

Why they chose this property

The peaceful location of Sol del Este is just 10 minutes walk to the small town of Es Castell with its colourful and vibrant small harbour and the first safe mooring point for the traditional small fishing boats which line its walls. With its many restaurants and bars overlooking the water, it's a great place to order a coffee, a meal or simply relax and watch the world go by. From the harbour the two minute walk up into the centre leads to the delightfully open Main Square with its shaded tree-lined avenues. Supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and shops are all to be found in close proximity as are taxis and regular buses to Mahon.

What makes this property unique

Golf
Son Parc golf course is a 20 minute drive. Mahon Tennis Club is just 10 minutes by car and have floodlit facilities including racquet and hand ball courts.
At S'Algar, the diving centre is one of the best on the island and the Tennis Club have an adjoining bowling green (20 minutes by car).
Travel
Mahon Airport is 15 minutes drive away and for ferry connections to Majorca and the Spanish mainland the terminal in Mahon is just 10 minutes by car or taxi.

A car is recommended to really explore the hidden treasures of the island, although for those on foot the local buses are very reliable,every 30 minutes into Mahon. Taxis are available in Es Castell, just a 10 minute walk away.
