About this property
2-star Gîte Le PAILLER in Marlavagne
Lovers of the great outdoors, you will enjoy the calm and authenticity of our gîte Le Pailler, an old renovated barn.
Located 5 km from the village of Saint André de Vezines, at the entrance to an old farmhouse, you will particularly appreciate the large living room with its typically Caussenarde vault. Its large picture window will offer you a panoramic view of the Cévennes and Mont Aigoual. An outdoor space ideal for getting away from it all: observing nature (birds of prey, butterflies, flowers ...), photos, painting, walks, ... The freshly built wooden terrace will allow you to enjoy the garden furniture and sunbathing, particularly on sunny days: the program for rest, reading ...
Thanks to the barbecue, you can taste good Aveyron specialties!
A play area for children up to around 12 years old is located at the rear of the gîte, and is also available for the second La Remise gîte and the owners' children; the playground is not fenced and the children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parents. Swings, trapeze, trampoline, slide / tunnel, small garden house and sand corner!
The owner has a traditional outdoor poultry farm (chickens and guinea fowl).
Possibilities of parking in front of the gîte.
Books on the region and tourist documentation are also available.
WIFI accessible on request outside the gîte (the thickness of the walls does not allow proper operation inside the building).
The gîte is made up of:
- a large living room with sitting area, sofa bed (convertible) - coffee table - flat screen TV (TNT channels), with dining area (rustic table and chairs) separated from the kitchen by a bar; the kitchen is fully equipped with double sink, gas hob, electric oven, fridge and freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, classic filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster and all the necessary dishes.
- 2 bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC located on a half-level (4 steps): the 1st bedroom includes a large 140 cm bed, with 2 bedside tables, a large sliding storage cabinet; the 2nd bedroom includes a large 140 bed with 2 bedside tables and a bunk bed or 90 mezzanine, a storage cabinet and shelves are also available; the bathroom is composed of a basin fixed on a work plan with shelves and drawers, a shower, and the washing machine.
An outdoor and indoor clothes line, an iron and ironing board are also available.
Bed linen can be made available as an option on request, at an additional cost of € 10 per bed per week (duvets and blankets are available).
Bath towels can also be provided as an option on request, at an additional cost of € 5 per week.
The cleaning remains the responsibility of the tenant, the lodging must be returned in a perfect state of cleanliness. Cleaning can however be carried out by the optional owner on request of the tenant, for an additional fee of € 50 for the duration of the stay. On arrival, a deposit of the value of the cleaning fee will be requested, and retained at the end of the stay in the event that the cleaning has not been carried out correctly.
The heating is an oil heating and is often essential in mid-season, it is also invoiced in supplement, at the rate of 10 € per day.
Baby equipment can be made available as an option on request, at an additional cost of € 5 per week: cot, bath, high chair.
Located 25 km and around 30 minutes by car from Millau, it is the nearest town where you will find all shops and services.
Bakery and grocery store in Lanuéjols, 10 km and 15 minutes and in Le Rozier, 17 km and 20 minutes.
We advise our guests to plan what is necessary for the day of their arrival!
Our cottage is located in the heart of the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park, on the Causse Noir where you can discover many sites such as the picturesque village of Montméjean and its botanical path, the priory of Saint Jean de Balmes, the dolomitic chaos of Roquesaltes or from Montpellier le Vieux, the Dargilan cave, the abyss of Bramabiau, the Mont Aigoual meteorological observatory, the bison breeding of the Randals, but also magnificent hiking trails, to meet local producers (cheese from sheep, honey ...) ...
The city of Millau offers guided tours of the city, night country markets on Monday evenings in July and August. Its museum and glove-shops are also waiting for you to discover its history. Finally, you will appreciate the panorama of the famous Millau Viaduct.
From the cottage, you can discover the Gorges de la Dourbie, de la Jonte and le Tarn where swimming is pleasant in July and August. Canoeing - kayaking or other white water sports are possible.
The Templar cities of Larzac, the Roquefort caves, the lakes and mountains of Lévezou, the castles of Rouergue such as the castle of Peyrelade and of Séverac ... are equally accessible and remarkable sites!
Tariff details according to the seasons:
Low season: possibility to rent per night, either € 60 per night or per week, or € 273 per week, excluding charges and options;
High season (summer school holidays): possibility to rent by the week from Saturday to Saturday, or 420 € per week, excluding charges and options.
