The location was nice but very out off the way for shops the road to get there had loads of road work on it and the satnav did not work for the post code so if you not from around there you do need a atlas. It was easy to get the hot tub going and to get it to the correct temperature we spent a whole day and in the end had to phone to get assistance so we only got one night of using it apart from this few we miner things it was great and the booking manager and staff was great.
What a beautiful cabin in a stunning location, exactly what we wanted. Peaceful and relaxing but with a pub, cafe and shop all on site. The hot tub was billiant and was enjoyed every night!
We will be back

An incredible peaceful haven so far away from civilisation that you can totally relax
The cabin was in a beautiful location situation right on the edge of the lake in a cosy community of other cabins and lovely locals from Dalavich. We hiked for hours through the pine forests and alongside the lake and enjoyed many hours floating in the wonderful tub. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and was incredibly warm and cosy.
The only complaint would be that the Tv didn't work so we couldn't watch any dvds in the evening and when we arrived the cabin did smell very strongly of smoke.
Other than that it was such a relaxing break for us both and worth every penny. We will definitely be going back.

Perfect Getaway.
Loved Sloy Cabin with its spectacular views over Loch Awe and stunning walks in the surrounding area. The cabin itself is well equipped and cosy. Perfect for recharging batteries. Dalavich is a very special place.

A quiet retreat with a stunning view
What a great week - we didn't want to leave!
We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and were greeted by the caretaker, who was lovely and explained everything to us and how to find our cabin. On entering the cabin, it was cold, but soon warmed up once we got the doors closed and heating on.
The property was clean to an acceptable level and all fixtures and fittings were well maintained. The cabin was as described on the website. It has a lovely loch view.
The location of this cabin is perfect, about 12-14 miles from the nearest main roads down a single track road with passing places, so the 12-14 miles takes around half an hour. If you want access to buzzing towns and big supermarkets, this is not the place for you! If however you love wildlife (We were lucky enough to see a red squirrel at breakfast one morning) the outdoors, peace and quiet and a good community welcome, this pace is great.
In the village there is a shop/café (opens daily) and a community run bar/bistro which opens Thur - Sun. We ate at both the café and bistro during our stay and really enjoyed both. We stopped on our way to stock up on groceries, but there are supermarkets in Oban, which is around 55 minutes by car.
We particularly enjoyed the local walks and we also visited Oban to try some fresh local seafood. If you enjoy walks, there is also a fantastic waymarked route which starts at Crinan harbour. We explored the canal and the Knapdale beaver project whilst we were in the area.
I would absolutely recommend this cabin to our friends who share our love of the outdoors. It should be noted that if you can't live your life without 3G and phone signal (some networks ok) that you might find it difficult here! Overall we loved our stay and would go back.
