"The Green House" ......Home Sweet Ocean Home!

Located in a lovely neighborhood on a quiet, dead end street among shore pines and the sounds and smells of the sea, this is a very comfortable, and relaxing home to thoroughly enjoy your coastal getaway!

The house is close to the Historic Nye Beach district and the surfing area of Agate Beach. There is also easy access to a beautiful beach just below the house. You will have everything in Newport at your fingertips as well as spectacular and sweeping views of the ocean! And whales? Thar she blows!

The space

The Green House is an actual duplex but is only rented to one group at a time. You get the entire home!

Upstairs is two bedrooms, one bath, with a lovely living room that has amazing views of the ocean. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with quality furnishings. The downstairs views are not as remarkable (although the downstairs bedroom has a very sweet ocean view) and consists of one bedroom, one bath, living room, and kitchen which is also fully stocked. Both units have ample outside deck space. There is NO interior access to the downstairs unit!

The upstairs kitchen is well equipped with a butcher block counter and a breakfast bar. It also has a skylight, a stainless steel electric range with a hood, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and an oversized deep sink with a French faucet. All cooking pans and utensils are high end. There are dishes for 8 people with plenty of extra plates, cups, glasses, and platters. The dining room table seats 6 very comfortably. The downstairs kitchen is also well equipped!

All three bedrooms have new quality queen mattresses and closet space. The towels and linens are of high quality. There is also a skylight in the upstairs bathroom as well as a washer and dryer, a pedestal sink, and a deep soaking tub with a shower.

There is internet at the house and a large screen TV located in the downstairs unit. There is no TV upstairs. BE ADVISED that there is no cable service so the only thing you can watch on the TV are DVD’s. There is a large selection of DVD’s available.

There is also a Sonos music system in place upstairs. You will need to download the Sonos App and be connected to WIFI in order to use the Sonos system. There is a Bose speaker in place in the downstairs unit that works in conjunction with your phone or ipad.

The upstairs is heated in minutes with a new and very efficient electric furnace. The downstairs is heated by baseboard and a stand alone electric heater.

There is also an exterior picnic/patio area (with a picnic table) that is a wonderful and peaceful place to eat breakfast in the sun!

Whether it is relaxing by the fireplace on a stormy winters night or sunning yourself on the deck in Spring, Summer, or Fall, this is a home that has a lot to offer! Located on the west side of Highway 101, the house has 180 degree unobstructed views of the South Jetty and Yaquina Head Lighthouse.

This location is highly desirable! The house is situated in a tranquil North Nye Beach neighborhood on a dead end street with lots of shore pines and spectacular ocean views. There is easy access to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the Historic Nye Beach business district (you can take the road or the beach!). The Oregon Coast Aquarium is also just a short 10 minute drive a way.
