FULLY AIR-CONDITIONED in every room of house. Three KING SIZE BEDROOM SUITES with luxurious linens. Beautifully furnished terraces off of the bedrooms on each floor above garage level. All bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Two additional half baths on living room and pool floors.

Do you need more space? Increase your party to 8 people. Buttermoon Villa also includes a large, ground floor level bedroom/studio, with separate outdoor access. FLAT SCREEN TVs, DVDs, high-speed fiber optic WIFI, high-end kitchen appliances with extended range of culinary equipment, and Weber stainless gas BBQ.

Provisioning, Private chef and catering can be arranged separate from rental. Cleaning not included in rental, but can be arranged in advance. Laundry room with brand new ultra large capacity LG Turbowash washer and dryer - professional steamer in addition to ironing board.

Perfect Family Vacation

We love Cupecoy and St. Maarten, so we knew we wanted to stay in this area for our family vacation. We traveled with our adult children (21, 20, and 17 along with their friends). After seeing Buttermoon Villa on VRBO, we immediately booked. EVERYTHING was perfect. Beautiful villa, amazing views, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, fully appointed kitchen, immaculate,....I could go on forever! Kelly, the property manager, answered all questions before we arrived, made check in easy, and was available during our stay (although we didn’t have any issues). We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at Buttermoon Villa, and we can’t wait to return!

Xmas in Cupecoy

Amazing villa! Ocean views. Beach directly in front. Grocery and restaurants across the street. 3 full master bedrooms with the most amazing ensuite rainforest showers. Private pool. Fully equipped kitchen with high end appliances and every small appliance one could want. Outdoor terraces, seating and eating areas. Friendly, unobtrusive private security and walled community made it feel very safe. Kelly the property manager could not have been more helpful.; from booking, to information and instructions, through COVID testing for departure. She made an amazing place perfect! Cannot recommend enough!

Our family and friends had an amazing time at Buttermoon! We were able to relax at the pool on the top floor and enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening. The grocery store is a short walk as are several nice restaurants. Buttermoon has everything you could want during your stay. It’s a beautiful home and Kelly is the best !

Enjoyable stay at Buttermoon

Buttermoon is a luxurious home with incredible amenities and even more incredible views! Our family enjoyed everything from the gourmet kitchen, to the rooftop pool, to the spaciousness and comfort of the home, to the convenient access to shopping and dining. Kelly, the property manager was especially attentive and went out of her way to anticipate and meet our needs.

This beachfront villa is incomparable. Seriously. A stunning vacation gem that is comfortable and livable. The kitchen has everything you would need from coffee to a gourmet dinner. The pool top is perfect. Quiet, secluded, but only a short walk to the beach at Cupecoy. This is Saint Maarten living at it’s absolute best. You can walk across to Porto Cupecoy for some libations and dinner. There is also a great food store for supplies. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for the absolute best of sxm. Another great benefit is that of the property manager Kelly that kept in touch with us to ensure all was well and she was available to help any problems that might come up. Amazing home on an amazing island

The house is in a prime location walking distance to beautiful beaches and a nice mall with shops and restaurants yet secluded enough to feel private. Kelly, the manager is responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We loved our stay at Buttermoon Villa and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to stay in an upscale home in St. Martin.

Amazing island living at Buttermoon villa!

We so enjoyed our two-week stay at Buttermoon! The property is as comfortable and pleasant as the photos we had reviewed prior to booking--and clean too. With four floors of luxury and incredible views of the ocean and our surroundings, we soaked up another pleasant trip on our favorite island. We made the most of a well-equipped kitchen noting an abundance of pottery, glassware, pans, utensils, and everything we needed. We appreciated its appliances, including the spacious refrigerator/freezer and gas cooktop. The large walk-in pantry was a very welcome feature that was stocked with spices, oils, teas, and items that were already on-hand plus had plenty of shelving to stock our groceries. We so enjoyed the comforts of the living, dining and kitchen floor with its furnishings, draperies, artwork and indoor/outdoor living. We took advantage of the outdoor seating on each level. The bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms were wonderfully and comfortably furnished and spacious. Bedding and mattresses allowed us to sleep amazingly. It was a pleasure to have plenty of towels, toiletries, paper products, hair dryers and other stock to benefit us in the bathrooms. The pool area was stunning, and that floor also included plenty of pool towels, seating, and a separate bathroom. All floors could be accessed from an elevator making it convenient to move luggage, groceries or beach items as needed. As needed, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and shopping cart/bags were available to us. The villa has adequate security and parking. Its location was perfect for our island lifestyle as we could easily drive to Grand Case (~25-30 minutes away), to Welfare Road in Simpson Bay (~20 minutes), or to Maho (~10 minutes). We could also easily walk just across the street to the grocery market or to the Porto Cupecoy restaurants. Property manager Kelly was outstanding! From the initial booking emails upfront to our villa checkout, she was everything and more than what we had read in other reviews. Kelly is service-oriented and client-focused. She is naturally friendly, provided us a lot of info when she greeted us on arrival, was available for calls if needed, and was responsive to our needs. She exceeded our expectations when after hearing that we have some CDs that we like to listen to each year delivered a portable CD player to us on the second day of our trip! Thank you, thank you, Kelly! It would be a pleasure to enjoy the comforts of Buttermoon again. Cheers!

Absolutely Incredible

Far surpassed our expectations. Kelly was extremely helpful and friendly. Small community is safe and beautiful. Can’t beat the sunset from the roof top pool. We were relocated here by homeaway last minute and Kelly couldn’t have been more welcoming. Highly recommend!

Paradise on Earth

My stay was incredible. The villa itself is an exceptional property, so we really did not have to leave to have a full vacation. It was very private but with everything you could need at hand for relaxation and fun. Everything in teh house had a designer's eye and was of high quality (art work, linens, towels, kitchen). I travel a lot and the details in the house were far above other rentals we have stayed in and certainly better than any hotel. Truly everything we needed to have a use of a first class home while visiting the most gorgeous part of the world. Amazing view of Saba, sunsets, sunrise from every bedroom (with porches) and the rooftop pool. It was so joyful to be soaking in the pool with the Caribean waters right in front of me- like postcard! There was a secluded private beach in front of the villa and you can just walk out the gate to take a rustic hike along the shore. The marina is a 3 minute walk with lots of choices restaurants- Alti (sp?) was a stand out and I ate there 3 nights. The small supermarket was adequate for cooking a decent meal. Kelly, the property manager made sure we had everything we needed and even shopped for provisions, but the pantry had all the extras you would have on hand for cooking at home. It is 4 floors (with an elevator) so everyone had a space to themselves and could gather together in the enormous open kitchen and living room. We ate outside overlooking the ocean. Honesty the pictures don't really do this place justice-very elegant peaceful Caribbean experience, not the hassle and bawdiness a cruise ship kind of vacation.

Incredible, impeccable villa- in the best part of the island

Our family (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed at Buttermoon over the xmas break for over 10 days - and the experience far exceeded our expectations. This home is impeccable, and gorgeous and so user friendly. Solid first class construction (can't hear any footsteps throughout the home), beautiful, cozy furnishings throughout the home, everything one would need for a long stay. Grill on the main kitchen deck, huge kitchen, incredible outdoor decks on every floor overlooking the breathtaking view of the sea. The private pool on the main deck is like a vacation spot in itself. The place is very secure - wonderful, friendly gated security detail are always on watch. (Island is very very safe - wonderful people wherever we went). The local beach (right outside the complex) is breathtaking - with cliffs and rocks and caves. The Cupecoy Marina directly across the street is full of restaurants and shops and a lovely piazza. We rented a car (HIGHLY recommend you do too) so we could explore the entire island. Great places to eat and enjoy the scenery on all corners of the island. Grand Case, Mullet Bay and Pinel Island are a few musts to visit. Kelly is the most gracious and helpful host. She was full of information and took care of everything. I cannot recommend this place enough. St Martin is a keeper.

Unexpected change of plans and we won with this find!

An unexpected find when our booking for Sonesta Ocean Pointe was not reopening on time and we didn’t want to incur all the change fees with the airlines. I came across this property and Kelly was so amazing and understanding to our issue. The property looked amazing in the photos and in person was just as fantastic. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more, it was safe, well maintained location, furniture and beds in good shape and comfy, amazing shower in master and a view that was so breathtaking from the pool.. we loved that we could walk to dinner at Porto cupecoy as well and be so close to the beaches. Thank you Kelly for accommodating us and going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for us. We will be sure to return to your place sooner than later! This property is spectacular for couples or families not looking to be exhausted by congestion of Simpson Bay.

Loved our 2018 Stay

Our group of 5 (3 couldn't make it last minute) really had a great time here. Made us sad that a whole bedroom suite went unused as it was fabulous along with the other 3. Butter Moon is tailor made for 4 couples plus some kids as well. Accommodations were very very nice. Spent several hours every morning hanging out on the kitchen/dining/living level on the outside balcony just sipping coffee or whatever and enjoying the beautiful view. Beaches during the day. Cocktails in the evening. Everything was clean and in great working order. Beds were great. Bathrooms were super nice. Maybe next time we will utilize the top pool area a little more. It was very nice as well but couldn't be two places at the same time. We soon became creatures of habit. Ha Ha. Walked to restaurants and grocery store. St Maarten still our favorite island to go to and the week prior to Thanksgiving is our week. Except for missing 2017 because of Irma this was probably our 9th or 10th year. The place in St. Maarten we have stayed previously is not up and running yet but no sign of hurricane at Butter Moon/Shore Point. Can't wait to come back next year ! This will be our new place I believe. Location, location, location. Kelly is simply the best manager we have ever had. She met us there on our arrival and saw us off on our departure. Explained everything to us and gave us a ton of tips. We pestered her with questions and advise a bunch prior to our arrival and she was super responsive and knows the island very well. The Shore Pointe complex is obviously maintained at a consistently high level. I highly recommend Butter Moon !

Beautiful!!!

Buttermoon was amazing! Beautifully decorated, clean, very well kept. The property had absolutely everything you could possibly need on vacation, from beach chairs to bug spray. The property manager Kelly is super! She was helpful, and friendly, and made our stay worry free. We had a fantastic time! A close walk to Dany's beach bar, the local market and dinning at Porto Cupecoy.

Fantastic 4 floor, rooftop pool villa!!!

What a fantastic vacation! Such a beautiful villa! Plenty of space, no matter how many people in your group... awesome rooftop pool, with fantastic views.. Walking distance to grocery store and great restaurants... went to Altro twice, great $26 3 course meal.... The manager kelly was awesome! Gave us tons of info about the island , and helpful tips to enhance our vacation... will definitely rebook in the future.

Luxury, beauty & amenities, our FAVORITE place!

My boyfriend, my one year old and I arrived to Buttermoon and were completely wowed from start to finish. Upon our arrival the complex was chic, and beautiful maintained. The private cul de sac was perfect for parking, getting in/out, very close to the main gate but higher up on a hill for optimum privacy. We were bowled by the beauty of the space upon entering, even moreso the convenience of the elevator in-home to facilitate our luggage getting to the top floors where we were staying with one year old. The spiral carpeted stairs allowed for optimum ease in getting up & down. This was a great contrast to the beautiful tiling throughout the rest of the dwelling. We stayed mainly on the main living room floor and the master bedroom which were top two floors. My boyfriend is 6'4 and the high ceilings throughout the villa, especially the master bath was a such a blessing. The living room was stunning, gorgeous decor, with luxurious accents vibrating with a calm and revitalizing living energy. The paintings throughout were a beautifying touch & discovering owner painted several herself was a great connection. We cooked and enjoyed a bountiful breakfast on the patio which couldn't have been more picturesque thanks to the endless amenities in the kitchen and pantry. The amenities were quite plentiful throughout our stay, from baby beach toys and chairs to gorgeous sarongs hanging on the rooftop breakfast nook. The top floor was actually our favorite with the private pool, gorgeous breakfast nook, and high ceiling master bedroom and luxurious master bath. We took a short path straight from the villa out to the private beach, along with towels, chairs, and toys straight from the villa. Our little one was in heaven. Having a grocery store right within the complex, walking distance was a much needed convenience. There were restaurants right there nearby as well though we ended up going further out on the island with friends. Those restaurants were a short drive as well. Everything was so easy, available, and accessible. From bath towels to pool towels to the smallest need, not only did we not want for anything, but Kelly the property manager was on hand and responsive to anything we needed. Already thankful for our welcome basket, we felt like royalty our entire stay. This is truly my favorite place to stay in the islands and we cannot wait to return with our favorite people to share this perfect location!

Wonderful stay in beautiful St Maarten

Buttermoon was simply perfect. We loved everything about our stay from the location of the Villa to the amenities to the property manager, Kelly. The home was a perfect size for the 8 of us. The villa is nicely decorated with great finishes, decorations, and linens. Each of the 4 bedrooms had large bathrooms, closet space, comfortable King-size beds, private bathrooms and balconies. The pictures are beautiful but the home is even more wonderful in person! The rooftop pool had beautiful views of the sea. The beach in front of Shorepointe was small but we loved swimming and relaxing there. The house was perfect! This was our first time to St. Maarten and we were very happy with our decision. We were hesitant because of the devastating hurricane that impacted this small island, however, the people of St. Maarten are working to rebuild. Although many places are still destroyed and closed, many restaurants and businesses are open. We visited a few of the shops and restaurants near Buttermoon. We bought all of our groceries at the small, but well-stocked store that was walkable distance. The restaurants we ate at in Cupecoy were amazing. The best food we had was at the French Restaurant right next to the grocery store. We enjoyed Maho, Philipsburg, ziplining, ATV riding around the island and Mullet Bay was our favorite beach. But regardless of our activities, coming home to Buttermoon was our favorite part of our trip. Kelly was an amazing host who went above and beyond. She was sweet, helpful and attentive. Our family has already decided we will come back to St Maarten and hopefully be able to stay in Buttermoon again. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. It was the perfect vacation for our family of 8!

Buttermoon is absolute perfection.

We just returned from the most enjoyable stay, at Buttermoon. 10 days of relaxation that was absolutely perfect. Buttermoon was everything that Kelly (property manager) had described, and more. Kelly met us at Buttermoon when we arrived and she we so gracious. When you meet Kelly, it’s just like meeting a dear friend that you had not seen for quite some time. We immediately bonded with Kelly and Kelly with us. Kelly showed us everything about the house from the first floor to the fourth floor in complete detail. Kelly was so thorough introducing us to Buttermoon that we did not have to call her once during our stay. Buttermoon provides all of the amenities of home. Each of the 4 bedrooms has ensuite baths, each bedroom with amazing views of the Caribbean. The open concept kitchen, dining and living room is spectacular, also with amazing views of the Caribbean. If you want to cook in, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you would ever need. It is so enjoyable staying at Buttermoon that if you just want to just sit by the top floor, private pool all day looking out over the Caribbean, you can. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, do not worry there is an elevator inside Buttermoon to easily transport you between floors. Cupecoy Beach is right outside your door. Porto Cupecoy is directly across the street with many wonderful restaurants (we ate at 3 of them) and a fully stocked supermarket should you need to purchase something. St. Maarten is recovering quickly following hurricane Irma with many, many restaurants and shops, throughout the island, open for business. If you’re looking for a wonderful place in St. Maarten to stay, I highly, highly recommend Buttermoon. You will not be disappointed and you will have the most enjoyable and relaxing stay, thanks to Kelly. We enjoyed our stay so much at Buttermoon, that we already booked ourselves for 2 weeks next April (2019). See you next April Kelly!!!!!

Very clean beautiful property.

Returned again this year for 10 nights. Buttermoon is equipped with any possible item you might need on vacation. The property manager Kelly is the best. I’ve rented many Villas on the island but Kelly is the most professional and she helps makes your stay pleasurable. Coming back again for two weeks next year. Paul Wojciehoski

The villa is amazing and the views are spectacular.We have made two trips to SXM since the devastating hurricane and can report that this property is in perfect condition. All facilities (pool, kitchen equipment, etc )and systems (Wi-Fi, TV etc. )work perfectly. The location is especially good since the Grand Marche supermarket and Porto Cupecoy restaurants (Altro, Mario's Rendez-Vous) are just a 3 minute walk away. This is particularly useful since so many island shops and restaurants on the island are still re-building. Thanks to Kelly, who oversees the villa, our arrival, stay and departure were seamless. We shall return to Buttermoon Villa!

Beautiful property in convenient location

We had a great vacation, the villa was very clean, well maintained, with a gorgeous view, the location of the villa is in the best area close to all nice beaches. Kelly the property manager was extremely helpful, friendly and I believe she is the one behind this well organized villa, we promised her return back soon.

BUTTERMOON VILLA - GREAT CHOICE!

Our group of friends made plans to spend a week in January on St Maarten last August. We searched VRBO and found Buttermoon Villa. I contacted Kelly the property manager with a few questions and even with a four hour time difference she promptly responded. We put a deposit on the villa and bought airline tickets. Then, Irma comes along. We talked with our friends and we all agreed that the best thing we could do to help the island was to go and spend as much as we could afford there. Our attitude was if we have a place to stay and an airplane to take us we were going. One of our flights changed but was still doable. The villa sustained some damage but Kelly assured me that it would be repaired by January. We were given the option of a refund but considered it only as a last resort if the villa couldn’t be repaired in time. Kelly was waiting for us when we arrived and spent time showing us around and answering questions. The home was beautiful and perfectly appointed. Everything was in perfect condition. The four floors gave our group plenty of space and privacy. The top level pool has a fabulous view. All the bedrooms are large with en suites and outdoor access. There is also a powder room on the pool level and living area. My husband loves to cook and the gourmet kitchen was well stocked. Kelly also made sure we had a welcome package of coffee, wine, milk, bread, eggs of our choice. The villa’s location in Cupecoy was perfect. Close to the airport, shopping and restaurants but also quiet. Two of the men were golfers and enjoyed being so close to the course. Puerto Cupecoy is across the road from the villas and has restaurants and shops. There is a Carrefour Market which is small but carries the essentials. There is also a Carrefour on Bush Rd that is huge and very well stocked. During our stay we drove all over the island, ate, shopped and explored. Yes there is damage but the people are working as hard as possible to rebuild. In our week there we saw visible improvements made. Anyone contemplating going- GO. The people are so appreciative of you being there and supporting their island. Most feel tourism will recover by next season. I would advise to go now and enjoy the island without the crowds. The home was ideal for us. We would stay there again without hesitation. Kelly was fantastic to deal with.

Our Favorte Home Away From Home

This was our second stay at Buttermoon in the last three months. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the villa manager Kelly, who even though we knew the property was there to answer any questions we might have. The villa was immaculate with everything necessary to make our vacation stay easy and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with items like coffee, milk, bread, eggs and juice so we did not have to run to the store right away. Kudos to Kelly who took the time to ask in advance what our preferences were. Buttermoon is a lovely property in a gated community. A fifteen minute ride from the airport and the activities of Simpson Bay. It is located right across the street from Porto Cupecoy which has great dining options and a supermarket. The villa it's self is well appointed and comfortable with spacious rooms and a large well equipped kitchen . The roof top pool is beautiful and offers amazing views of the ocean and evening sunset. A great place to sit out and enjoy a cocktail at the end of the day. I would highly recommend a stay at Buttermoon! We can;t wait to come back.

Owners are American and have just re-done the house for personal living once a month. so this is not just a luxury villa, but an upmarket family villa that is owner used and loved.

Why they chose this property

This property is what postcard views are made of. Not every property in this wonderful "Greek Isle" white and blue style development have the privacy and views of Buttermoon. The house is on the 2nd row overlooking the first row of houses and has a magnificent view yet protection from big waves and blowing sand. All the benefits of a beachfront property without the risk and hassle. Security in this community is outstanding with 24-hour guards, electronic surveillance with additional guards & dogs from dusk to dawn. The island is a safe place, and this community with the small private Cupecoy beach just frees our minds from any worry at all. The sunsets are incredible, especially sipping drinks in the rooftop pool. What can we say, it's just a fabulous home and we're glad to share it with you!

Because this is our home once a month, we have loaded it with extra features for added enjoyment - eco-friendly solar hot water heater on the roof and stairs carpeted for comfort.
