Property is great, Local VR not so much
The condo was exactly as hope for from the description and pictures. It was just right for a week of skiing- close to the gondola, basic necessities for lodging covered, clever space saving designs and layout, and clean.
The local VR sent check info 3 days in advance- indicating I should go to the front desk and would have to pay for a key. There is no lobby or front desk and it is keyless entry. At 5 pm - well after check in time, I am standing outside the unit door, in the cold with all my gear, suitcase, skis, boot bag messaging, emailing, calling to try to gain n access. The answering passes my request for assistance to local VR and I am to wait for a call back. I try replying to the email about getting key from front desk. I also text the local VR phone number. A texting not responds telling me about parking my car. I used a shuttle service to get to Breck. I don’t have a car or I would be sitting in it to stay warm. I try to get the bot to jump ahead in the texting sequence. In the meantime- the welcome booklet arrives by text. I can not open it- the server time out, cell phone service is weak and I don’t have Wi-Fi standing outside the door of the unit. I call the the Local VR number again and leave another message with the answering service The welcome booklet arrives by email- I still can’t open it, cell service did not improve nor did I gain access to Wi-Fi. I do get the testing bot to jump ahead by asking nicely for the code. That worked!
