The Little Yellow Cottage

The Little Yellow Cottage is perfectly located in the heart of the historic downtown. It's next to the town park, creek and theater. This was the first vacation rental in Murphys...and has been a guest favorite for over 25 years! Enjoy dining in the private back garden gazebo, making smores over the wood fire pit, or enjoy a game of Cornhole with the family. This home is sure to provide dear memories of your visit to our area.

Please note that the 2nd bathroom has a clawfoot antique tub (no shower).

It’s promoted as dog friendly but there was no gate in the back yard!The location is good and I appreciate that.

We are glad that you liked the location and hoped you enjoyed your overall stay. I am sorry to see that the totally fenced dog yard along the side of the house was apparently missed. The house is along one side and a 6 foot fence along the other 3 sides. It is about 10 feet wide and 30 feet long. There is a wooden dog bone sign in the back garden that points to where it is and that gate is also labeled. The landscaped garden around the house is not fenced.

It was a charming little cottage with a garden full of bloom and just a short walk to downtown. The river that runs through the little park right next to the park is a sweet local hangout-all very charming.

The little yellow cottage was perfect for a one night girls getaway. The backyard was so lovely with adirondack chairs for early morning coffee. We also used it as a backdrop for fun birthday photos. The location made it easy to walk into town for wine tasting, dinner and morning bakery run. We only wish we could have stayed two nights! Communications was great and the cottage was as described.

This place was perfect for our 1 night stay in Murphys. Convenient walk to town, and we loved that they are pet friendly and dont require a two or three night minimum. Very cute little house with comfortable bed.
