Unwind away in this cozy but carefully furnished home while enjoying the sounds of birds in the morning or views of the lake activities which are sure to entice you!

Ideal for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation the home has three bedrooms and two full baths. Show off your culinary skills in the fully equipped kitchen that has everything you need to make big breakfasts or late-night snacks.

The single level floor plan as well as, side entrance access is also a "strong plus" as it facilitates needs for guests which do not want to deal with excessive stairs.

Conveniently located, exploring the area is a breeze as you are within minutes from restaurants, mini golf, marinas, shops, ziplines and more.

The Wisp Resort is within walking distance and offers four seasons of fun! Experience skiing, golf, snow tubing, mountain biking, the mountain coaster, disc golf, escape games and much more. On top of the mountain, the Adventure Sports Center is home to white water rafting thrills on their man-made river.

Area state parks are brimming with activities for every age and interest. Miles of hiking trails, sandy beaches for swimming, canoe rentals, cross country skiing and fishing are just a few ways to enjoy our public lands.

Be sure to visit Oakland's historic downtown that is within a fifteen-minute drive. Stroll quiet streets with stops to browse antique stores, shop for classic vinyl, or to have a drink in an upscale lounge. During the summer months, the Farmers Market offers local produce, local crafts, baked goods, and fresh cut flowers.

Very comfortable house with everything you need to relax, cook, and keep kids of multiple ages entertained! Really appreciated the board games, multiple TVs, comfortable bath and bedrooms, and entry room for the ski gear. Very thoughtful host who anticipated our needs and left the lights on when we arrived late! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time! The Pea Pod was perfect for our family trip! The location is perfect- close to many things to do and close to the lake! The Pea Pod had everything you would need for an enjoyable stay and then some! The hosts were so accommodating and very quick to answer questions about the area as we were first time visitors. We LOVE staying at the Pea Pod. It's proximity to the lake and to the Wisp mountain is ideal. The managers include lots of little amenities to make your stay more enjoyable and easy. We especially like that it's CLEAN. Thank you for allowing us to stay there year after year every summer!

Pea Pod was an excellent home base for our snow sports excursion to DCL. It was immaculately clean and well maintained. The location to Wisp could not be better, unless it was on the resort itself. It was a 3 minute drive to the main lodge. The home itself is quite comfortable and, for the most part, well equipped. We had to engage in some improvisation when it came to cooking (we couldn't find any kitchen knives and the kitchen staples (apart from salt and pepper) were scarce). However, there were plenty of pots and pans and kitchen implements to cook. The bedrooms are nice sized and the mattresses were OUTSTANDING. Communication with the hosts were fantastic. We'd definitely stay there again for a future trip.

Location was beautiful, loved the porch and grill outside. Best communication experience. Immaculate. Much effort put forth for families to enjoy their stay. Games, advice, 3 br, 2 bath was great. Felt guilty running dishwasher 1/2 full but needed to for clean plates (we were party of 6). Consider adding more lg. plates and perhaps pitcher for iced tea? Absolutely loved every minute of being there!

Great fall visit with family

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pea Pod. The house was super clean and comfortable. We had e wry thing we needed and the location was really convenient to all the activities in McHenry and the Deep Creek area.

The house has a great location- not right on the lake but convenient to everything in McHenry. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very small, the bedding is of mediocre quality and the carpet really needs to be cleaned. The house smelled funny. But probably the most annoying thing was the TV reception is limited if you don’t have a Roku account.
