Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Everything was perfect, dealing with the owner was easy and he was very helpful. We all loved the house and can’t wait to return.

House of Horrors

This was the most disgustingly dirty home I have been in ANYWHERE. Carpets were so dirty they were black, most window shades broken or completely missing,closets full of thick dust and filled with the belongings of previous renters,ceiling fans that didn't work COATED with dog hair and dirt. Owner lied on the VRBO website saying it had 3 bedrooms. "3rd bedroom" turned out to be a den with a old, dusty sofabed, NO closet, broken plaster. A room so awful I kept the door closed always. Besides the money I spent on housecleaners, I had to spend money for a hotel for elderly family members since there was no way I would let them even enter the den. When I had to move out for my health and sanity, the owner refused to refund my money for the second month of my planned stay. I will never rent through VRBO again and have passed this message on to many friends. You should be ashamed that this home is on your website. I spent days of my "vacation" arranging to have carpets cleaned, shades installed as well as requesting that the owner supply coffee cups and an ironing board, dryclean the disgusting king duvet and hook up the tv in the guestroom. The coffee pot was so coated with old coffee grounds that we had to soak it for 2 days! I have owned vacation rental homes and am not new to renting in La Quinta. The owner clearly has no idea how to manage rental property and sent a neighbor to deal with all the problems. He helped a little but obviously didn't want to be bothered.

We worked very hard to satisfy Lisa, to no avail. She provided a very long list of demands that we worked diligently to remedy. Lisa is stating a number of things that are factually not correct. For example, this is a 3 bedroom condo. If you look at the comparable units on the same street you can confirm this. We did not send a neighbor to help. We have a property manager that is managing the home. We have had many renters over many years, and never had an issue that we could not resolve with our renters. Including the current renter that is very pleased with the home. I'm sure that Lisa wrote how she felt about the experience. We are sorry that our best efforts were not sufficient and that the home was not up to her expectations.
