Welcome home to this nicely updated, bright, and spacious condo located in the heart of Ka'anapali. Enjoy your morning coffee on the lanai as you peek through the foliage to see the ocean waking up. You'll also love cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, so eating out every night isn't a must! Take a dip in the pool, walk down to the ocean, and grab a happy hour drink or meal at Duke's, all without leaving the Honua Kai.

What's nearby:
You'll have a number of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment without ever leaving the resort including an on-site spa, a sundries store, Duke's, and, of course, the beach. When you're ready for an adventure off-site, play 18 holes at the Ka'anapali golf courses just over two miles to the south, or try your hand at some championship courses in Kapalua, just under ten miles north. If you're looking for a little bit of everything, head three miles south to Whaler's Village where you can dine at local favorite Monkeypod, shop at places like Quiksilver and Coach, and even pitch an umbrella on Ka'anapali Beach.

This place was perfect for our family of five! The ground floor location was amazing to walk out and head straight to the beach. They had a good stock of basics both in the kitchen and the bathrooms. We would book again!

This is a gorgeous condo in a great resort. The location of the condo made it so easy to get to the pool and the beach. They provided a ton a beach towels as well as beach chairs. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Family paradise

Loved this place. Perfect for families with kids with the little patio and private grass area. Felt like we had our own little backyard. The room is a short walk to the beach, pools and elevator to the underground parking making it so much easier whenever we needed to carry anything anywhere. Definitely would recommend this place to families.

Don’t pass this up!

Absolutely fabulous property grounds and the perfect condo for a family (or 2 couples!). We stayed 5 nights with a 6 and 7 year old. They LOVED the pools and the bedroom arrangement was perfect for just enough space. We moved to a different condo in Kihei for the last 2 nights and found ourselves wishing we had just stayed put. You won’t regret staying here!

Not worth the price!

The property was vey quiet and the location was great. The villa is dated and needs some maintenance. The fridge was missing glass shelves and storage containers. My daughter tripped on old rug. Bolts to furniture were found on the ground. Given so many options in Maui to stay I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Honua Kai - Ka'anapali's hidden gem

I have stayed at the Honua Kai three times now - this last time a Vacasa managed property - formerly staying with the resort rental rooms. It is a great "Goldilocks" choice in an area of very expensive options and more humble choices. It comes with great pools and an easy walk to the beach. I recommend it as a choice location for anyone wishing to have a great resort experience and one that is still manageable on the budget.

Perfect home base in paradise

We could not have been more thrilled with our stay at this wonderful property. The layout, size, and location was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. We loved the close proximity to the beach (we just headed out the patio door and down the path), the many wonderful pools, Duke’s for brunch or a mai tai, and coffee in the morning! Being on the ground floor meant no waiting to get where we were going as soon as we were ready (and getting everyone ready when you have a 4 and 6 year old is no small feat!). The furnishings are lovely, the light is gorgeous. We are several meals in, since prices are high and restaurants are booked, and had everything we needed. Having laundry in the unit was so helpful- especially just to dry towels! We did many excursions- a submarine tour, snorkeling at Molokini, a drive to the Nakalele Blowhole. Our two FAVORITE activities (besides the water slide and the lazy river pool!) were the Old Lahaina Luau (go hungry!) and renting snorkels right at Honua Kai and snorkeling on the beach right by the condo (head a little south once you get to the beach for a less rocky entry)- we saw several sea turtles and tons of gorgeous fish! Vacasa was very responsive with small questions that came up. We adored our stay and hope to come back very soon!

Great Resort and Unit

As advertised. We expected to have an awesome stay and this place delivered. We had stayed at Honua Kai previously, so we knew what to expect and it has not dropped off. The unit itself was as advertised and well appointed. Has all of the stuff you need for everyday life (dishes, silverware, glassware, cooking utensils, basic everyday spices, a little bit of paper products, etc.) as well as a LOT of beach toys (2 beach chairs, an umbrella, several boogie boards, sand toys, etc.). Not being on the pool towel exchange means you'll have to wash the towels every day, but it's not a big deal. The access of being on the first floor is awesome--no waiting for an elevator or any of that, you can be back from the pool or beach in a couple of minutes to grab lunch or a drink at your place if you choose. The patio area for the unit is large and quiet and the bedrooms and showers are certainly enough for 6 people. Highly recommend the resort and this unit in particular!

We loved the condo complex for its location (just steps to the beach), beautiful grounds and pool area. A really good coffee/grocery store on the property. Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in our particular unit. I called Vacasa the first time to report the issue and they said a technician would be out within 24 hours. When that didn't happen, I called Vacasa again and was told this time that this unit had recently sold and the new owner had not yet arranged for internet service. This was a problem because my daughter was finishing up her university finals and needed to have internet connection. I still gave the resort a 5 star review because it is very nice but the Wi-Fi problem was an issue for us.

We had a great time at this condo!! The condo was clean and well stocked! The beds were super comfortable…I have never slept better in my life. It was so nice and convenient being on the ground floor. You can watch the ocean from the patio. The pools were super fun, especially for the kids and the food at Duke’s was delicious! We can’t wait to book a return vacation at this condo. :)

Such an awesome find!

I was specifically looking for 3 things, and we definitely found it here. 1) I wanted a first floor unit that we (and my kids) could just walk out the patio door and go down to the pool or ocean and not have to feel like they're walking through a hotel to get there. 2) wanted a modern and open place with all the amenities 3) wanted a super cool pool with waterfalls and/or hot tub and pool dining/drinks. DONE! The location was perfect too with a coffee shop, general store, and Duke's restaurant all on location! We were a super short walk to everything, and we had a great view of the Westin next door (which is a nicer looking building that this place, so that was a bonus to look at them, but be in a killer pad that in my opinion is better looking inside). The beds were super comfortable, and they have a closet full of goodies to use at the beach (boogies boards, chairs, floaties, beach towels, etc). By end of day, we would eat outside on the patio (also super comforable patio chairs!), and the get all cuddled up on the couch watching movies with the patio doors open while enjoying the ocean breezes. Absolutely fabulous! We'll definitely be coming back.
