We absolutely loved everything - the house, the supplies, the view, the beach, the enchanted forest on the property, communication with the host... and the bottle of wine and chocolates were the cherry on top!
So very welcoming and special touches by the Host upon arriving. The beds were very comfortable, the house was perfect! The views and property were beyond our expectations! The hosts were very easy to communicate with. 10 out of 10 for this property!
Pearl Point Beach House was truly better than a 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and thought the hosts have put into every detail of this beautiful place. The thoughtful touches made all the difference…cozy robes waiting for us, a welcome bottle of wine, and most household essentials you could possibly need already there. The beds were comfortable, making it easy to relax after long days by the water. Evenings around the fire pit and time spent in the hot tub were highlights of our stay. The privacy and seclusion made it feel like a true retreat. One of our favorite parts was the location. The house is conveniently close to wonderful hiking trails, restaurants, and grocery stores, yet it still feels completely tucked away and serene. We especially loved watching the seals in the water and the bald eagles overhead. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway with all the comforts of home and then some.
A beautiful, serene , beautifully decorated home away from home. Private, everything you need and such comfortable beds. No issues with wi-fi and a very hot, hot tub!
Very nice property. We loved beach combing with the children. I slept on main floor with my 8-year-old autistic grand daughter and my daughter her husband, the 4-year-old and the 20-month-old slept upstairs. It all had a lovely time!
For many years, my husband and I have travelled to Vancouver island. This was, by far the most well appointed rental we have encountered. The hosts have gone out of their way in considering their guests needs. The property was spotless, beautifully landscaped and private. The view is incredible and there is an abundance of nature, deer, rabbits, sea otters, blue herons, seals and eagles were daily sightings. This is a rental we will recommend to others and we will return for another visit. To the hosts, thank you so much for your hospitality during our stay.
Private well cared lovely beach house. Fantastic views from most rooms. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Large lawn area. Beach is rocky and not really walkable. Nice extras like hot tub, outdoor fire pit, workable kitchen, toys, games &books, good wifi, gift of chocolate and wine. Exactly as described and pictured on website. Family of 5 adults and 1 toddler enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoyed our stay and would go again. Very accessible to Courtney and Comox.

Hi David! I've been going over some old reviews and only now realize we have the ability to respond to the reviewers! While I'm a couple years late, I do want to say Thank You for reviewing your stay at Pearl Point! We hope to have you back again!
Spent a week exploring the area, proximity to the ferry and Cumberland was great. Very relaxing space and views, also very much appreciated the opportunity to see the eagles feeding!
This place has it all: Centrally located, organic market in walking distance, hot tub, pick your own oysters and cook them on the open fire! Beds are comfy too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house with our two young kids. It is a great location right on the water. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Russ, Terry and Ashley made us feel very welcome and made the process very easy. We hope to be back again when we are in the area!

About the host
Hosted by Terry Hebblethwaite (Pearl Point Beach House)
Terry and Russ met in Canada‘s Northwest Territories in 1979 and married in 1981. They raised their family while operating their business in Alberta, but took every opportunity to visit the West Coast with a dream of one day living on Vancouver Island.
Following patent application and start up of an environmental/Safety products company for the oil and gas industry, Russ sold his first business to a First Nations consortium, allowing flexibility as to where they could live.
Always looking, Terry found this 5.54 acre, 1500+ feet of waterfront property for sale online, which they purchased in 2001. They chose to name it “Pearl Point”; after Russ‘s mother Pearl, for its Pearl producing oysters on the beach, and because this property is truly a unique Gem.
In addition to spending time on Pearl Point, Terry and Russ enjoy time in Alberta where their son Tyler, daughter Ashley, with spouses and eight grandchildren live. They also enjoy spending time in Phoenix and traveling internationally.
Russ & Terry have enjoyed stunning natural, historical and cultural beauty of many places around the world and are ever grateful for the ability to call one of the most beautiful places they’ve seen, home. They look forward to sharing this piece of paradise with you.

What makes this property unique
Pearl Point was formed thousands of years ago by material from the high ground of Vancouver Island washing into Baynes Sound through Hindoo Creek, forming a fluvial fan.
The freshwater of Hindoo Creek, vantages allowing warning of impending danger from the sea, a mature forest of cedar, Douglas fir and hemlock offering protection from the elements, materials for shelter, boats and clothing along with an abundance of berries, shellfish and finfish, this point has served as home to indigenous people for hundreds of years, evidenced by middens around the property.
We bought this property in 2001 from a family who’d owned it since acquiring deed from the Crown 118 years prior. We built the beach house in 2002 and have enjoyed the privilege of hosting guests from around the world since 2003.
We hope you enjoy Pearl Point, it’s trees, flora and fauna, high and low tides, our resident eagles, shellfish on the beach, occasional orca and humpback whale sightings out front and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from either inside or outside. Please feel free to explore the property and please, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
We hope you give Pearl Point a page in your book of memories.
